I can’t add a phone number to my online account so in turn I can’t use the app because it doesn’t allow me to login with email. Honestly, doesn’t make any sense. ### 4/5 — Coin rollout flawed *2023-12-20, version 3.10.1* I usually enjoy this app but it’s been advertising the new coin feature to me and that part is not working. I’m signed in (have had my account for several years) and when I add more birthdays, I don’t receive coins and I have none accumulated. ### 2/5 — Difficult to Use *2022-08-21* Like others have mentioned who have received a local Google guide gift for $25, this is not a user friendly App. It’s ridiculously difficult to figure out how to actually redeem the gift. The items for less than $25 aren’t vast and you have to account for the price of shipping as well so don’t count on a great gift. I opted for the popcorn which was stale and pretty inedible. Disappointed in the product and process pf ordering but they did send the product so it’s not a scam. Wish Google would just pay their guides as we should be for our time and photos instead of the ridiculous gifts that people can’t even figure out how to redeem. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time *2022-08-10, version 3.5.6* Ridiculously overpriced items. If you are really lazy and you don’t mind over paying for gifts, then maybe you will like this app. Otherwise I recommend skipping it. Plus the app isn’t really intuitive. I had a coupon code, which it accepted, but then ignored and charged me full price. It never indicated that the code wasn’t going to work. I had to contact customer support to have the sale reversed. ### 1/5 — Beware of this app terms/conditions and my suggestion is not to use this! *2022-08-08, version 3.5.6* Google offered a promotion and I was never able to use it , from the first day it was out of stock. From my experience, customer support is also not responding well. ### 1/5 — Shady promotion practices *2022-07-19, version 3.5.6* They lure you in with a Google gift code but when you get to claiming it suddenly they’re all like “sorry, this has already been claimed too many times” despite me never having claimed it! Shady lying marketing doesn’t sit well with me. ### 1/5 — Google local guide gift. *2022-07-14* So I got a $25 gift card from google local guy as a gift. I appreciate Google for doing this. However there have been so many obstacles with this application. One thing to know right away is that you cannot use the $25 gift card to buy gift cards. I guess it makes sense. Also the way they have their application structures is so complicated and so confusing to be used. They make the process very complicated and is a lengthy process. Also I don’t understand why I cannot remove my credit card off of the account if I am not going to be using it. I talk to the representative and they told me that for me to remove my current card I have to put in a new card. Ultimately the only reason why I am using this application to do any transaction it’s because I have a $25 gift card from Google for local guide. If it was not for that I would not ever see myself use this application. Feel free to reach out to us at support@ongoody.com if we can help you further. ### 1/5 — Confusing and unintuitive interface hidden by beautiful photos *2022-07-09, version 3.5.6* I find the app and the website in the whole structure of how you interact with this company completely unintuitive and confusing.I found it extraordinarily confusing to figure out how to redeem a gift that I received. I also found it very difficult to actually pick my gift and then arrange to send it to myself. Additionally, it’s very difficult to find products you may want to pick as a gift for yourself or to give unless you already know and recognize the brand names of the money the companies that are provided. I find all that frustration to be very disappointing because the selection of gifts once you find the specific kind of product you’re looking for or terrific. This is a case where the interaction and packaging of the products offered make it unnecessarily difficult to find the great products. In this day and age of usability studies and advanced mobile app and website design, it’s a huge fail for this company. ### 1/5 — Not the best *2022-07-04, version 3.5.6* I have used goody three times. First to get a gift from my employer, two other times to give presents to family. First thing first, there are not that many gifts to choose from. Yes, there are a lot of different categories and stuff, but when we are talking about some useful items that the recipient can use and appreciate often - hard to find. Soy candles, on the other hand, is 50% of what they offer. This is not the most annoying part though. The only reason why I decided to use Goody for family gifts is that gave me promotion codes. Well, joke on me, because there is nowhere to enter them at all. First time, I contacted the customer support and got some credit back. This time, because my card was already in file, they processed the payment without even asking or giving me a chance to enter a promotion code. To sum up, today was my last time using this app. ### 1/5 — Still waiting on my gift… *2022-04-05* I’ve experienced several issues with receiving my Goody gift. I selected my item and received confirmation that the item would ship and weeks later, when I reached out to customer service, they said that I had not indicated that I had selected an item. I redid the process and ended up on the same confirmation page. The representative that I spoke to was dismissive of the issue. After placing the order the second time, I did not receive any shipping updates from Goody or from FedEx, and when I revisited the redemption link, I landed on a page with the item I selected and no tracking information. I reached out yesterday, a month and two days after my initial redemption, and I was told that my order had been delivered weeks ago. I have not received it, and again, no indication of shipping from Goody or FedEx. I’m not sure if my experience was a fluke, but I’m very disappointed in this service. Your gift might come a month or more later. Just terrible ### 1/5 — Shipping takes way too long *2025-02-17* I sent my friend a gift to pick out for her housewarming on 12/2, she picked out same day. It is now 2/17, over two months later and it it still saying “waiting to ship”. This happened to me before (I’ve placed 6 total orders) and I had to ask for a refund after it was still “waiting to be shipped” for 9 weeks as well. I canceled, went directly to the company’s website, and my sister got it in 3 days so I’m not sure what the issue is, but I will be deleting the app and never using again once I get my refund on this order. ### 1/5 — Scam - $100 product was listed as $150 *2024-12-21, version 4.0.2* For one of the gifts on Goody, an item was listed for $150 but when I went to check it out on the brand’s own website it was $50 cheaper. On Amazon it was $70 cheaper. This is just on the product itself and not counting additional fees and shipping. Disappointing experience using Goody :( ### 1/5 — App always freezes up *2024-10-10, version 4.0.2* I’ve tried a few times to use the app to send a gift and it freezes up every time so I haven’t been able to do anything. For an email saying that I would get tracking email. Never got one. Had to follow up twice for status of my order. Got a response on chat that the vendor was delayed but literally took a month. Still don’t have my cookies and NEVER got a tracking number. Don’t trust this app unless you want to embarres yourself in front of your clients ### 1/5 — TOO EXPENSIVE *2022-11-12, version 3.5.6* This is way to expensive for the average person there are cookies for $45!!!! Just shop on Amazon way more stuff and a lot cheaper!!! ### 1/5 — Overpriced *2022-09-01, version 3.5.6* I received a promotion to try the app out but everything was so expensive and the promotion ended up not even being valid I am deleting this app I would never buy anything on it at that price point ### 1/5 — Bad service, do not use to send BUSINESS gift *2022-08-29, version 3.5.6* You may think the business model is a good idea but it’s not working. I was a receiver 1. Once you accept and put in your address, there’s no confrontation email. I wasn’t sure if I had a typo or put in the apt number, I couldn’t check 2. They reached out to me to clarify address and the address was a bit complicated because it’s a business address with bldg number and mail code. They clearly couldn’t handle it. 3. Once they were not able to fix the address, they cancel your order without notifying you. I spent 10 mins explaining the business address thinking they should be able to get it right. The next hour when I check the status of the gift, it was canceled. No notification no reason no nothing. 4. At this moment, I was really frustrated. It’s a bad reflection on the sender as well so if you want to try it, try it on your friends, families, but not serious business purposes as it will fail! But who would pay extra processing fees if you are sending a gift to you close friends that you can buy whatever you want perhaps with a discount elsewhere? ### 1/5 — Super Disappointed - Poor Experience with Redemption Code *2022-08-10, version 3.5.6* I received a $25 code to redeem for being a Local Guide. Turns out there’s only so many redemptions and to be transparent, it is in the very bottom of the email offer. So from a communications perspective, it would be WAY better to put it in the “How to” part of the email and not below the signature area in font size 4 pt. My biggest issue is more the poor app experience. I spent 30+ minutes trying to use the code (more time choosing a gift)) and the app let me make gifts, send them, and even showed that gift was created and then I would receive an email to “accept” the gift. At NO POINT did the app say it was not redeemable or that the number of redemptions were met. There was never an error message, etc. If the max redemptions were met, don’t allow the app to create and send a gift. That makes no sense… I was clicking accept over and over and nothing happened so I thought it was an app issue but after texting support, turns out it is a redemption issue. I would NOT RECOMMEND using this app because the system messages are non-existent, so you’ll just waste your time, and because the app allows you send and create gifts that cannot be “accepted” by the end user.
