### 2/5 — Won’t release MY money $100 stuck

*2022-05-01, version 151.0*

I attempted to send $100 from my debit card to a friend who I have sent money to multiple times without issue. Well this time the payment failed and the money was taken from my account and not returned. I spent hours trying to get the money returned to my debit card account only to find out they put it on my google pay balance and then limited my account so I could not transfer it to my bank account Or Send to a friend . So now my money is just stuck on this account and I have no physical ID CARD at the moment so they will not fix my account to allow me to access my own money . I have tried contacting support multiple times and they have been completely useless to help . I never even authorized my money to be added to my google pay balance and now it is stuck there . I NEED TO BE ABLE TO ADD MY NEW DEBIT CARD TO GET MY MONEY BACK . This money was all I had left for a week and have received no help. Absolutely horrible

### 1/5 — Data mining garbage. Beware!

*2022-03-08, version 147.0*

BEWARE! This app will ask to invade your privacy and obtain access to your info (and share it with third parties) at least three separate times during initial setup, including sending all your contacts to Google and recording your third part credit card payment info so you can “earn rewards.” Besides that, it only gives you the option to pay recipients and not to request money unless they have downloaded this new app, gone through the setup, and made themselves “searchable,” even if they had the old app. This new app and new setup process is clearly all just so they can have the chance to sneakily gain your “consent” to obtain and sell your confidential data. Terrible app from a now terrible company. Try any of the MANY other options for money transfer apps instead. Your bank probably already offers Zelle within its own app and it will be faster and more secure.

### 1/5 — Reward system is a scam !

*2022-02-27*

Really unpredictable. Even if you are in a good network area, process goes on for a few minutes most of the times, may end up in try after some times/ processing, money not debited yet/ money debited, but the recepient not received yet statuses. And the worst part is that they need 72 hours to tell whether it got processed or not. What should we (both customers & shop owners) do till then ? Stay in that shop till we are good to go ?! No alert if the payment fails after 72 hours, WE have to continuously monitor whether it was successful or not. Their customer service is pathetic ! Has anyone really talked to any of the customer care executives ever ? I think, no one was lucky enough. Complicated procedure to get in line with customer care phone service, need to stay online in their never ending queue, you will never get opportunity to talk to them ! Finally, about their reward system.. Such a fraud team & fraudulent plans. You will get some cheap rewards when you do N number of transactions. Ridiculous ! They are not providing coupons even if you do eligible transactions, and nothing happens even if you create tickets. I am shifting my UPI to other ones. Fed up with their pathetic service. I strongly advise my fellows to keep away from them and go for some other apps in the market. That may save some of your time, money & peace of mind !

### 1/5 — Hahahahaha

*2022-02-08, version 145.0*

I enjoy reading apple users who post worst comment or bad review. Why google pay? I thought…..wait….no.....i knew google stated once that google doesn't charge anything but then now customers of users are not free anymore. Congratulations google. Amen. I’m proud to be back to Apple Pay and cash app even though I don’t have banking account so I don’t have to go to the banking building nor worried about getting charged fees. Nah. Apple Pay and cash app don’t play at all as far as I know for sure I love enjoying Apple Pay/Apple Cash and cash app forever. Not PayPal, other unheard new companies. Nah. I do love google organization except for few features that are required to be paid for subscription. No thanks. That’s why I use my iCloud email forward to gmail instead so I use it as iCloud and gmail is secondary. Not back up. iCloud yes cause it doesnt need all peoples info exchanged. Just contactless payment instead of no credit card and no cash. Simple. Sorry hit google search is awesome as free forever.

### 1/5 — Read before creating an account!!!

*2022-01-05, version 143.0*

I was trying to purchase a watch from a site that didn’t accept Visa or Master cards. I had a bad experience with PayPal and have been leery of third party money transaction sites. I thought Google Pay would be better established with security features, but what they ask for when establishing a functioning account is suspicious! First, they wanted the typical info like name, address, birthdate, last four of my ssn. So, I’ve already shared substantial sensitive info about myself and then it asks for my full ssn. I reluctantly shared since this is info needed to establish a credit card…but still found this odd. Now I have one foot deep in the Google web and I couldn’t move beyond the personal identification page until I provided a copy of my driver’s license, a piece of mail with my address and worst of all a COPY of my social security card! I felt like I was joining the military again. Please use caution when using these apps, big giant companies want too much info!

### 1/5 — 2 weeks to deposit $200

*2021-12-31, version 143.0*

The tl;dr is if you can, avoid Google pay at all costs.

Somehow someone decided it was a good idea for the money you deposit to take 5+ days to post if they’re feeling generous despite any worthwhile app having it available in literal seconds. (venmo or cash app) it’s going to take me two weeks one way or another to get the money I tried to deposit. At this moment Google is saying they retuned the money to my bank that I tried to deposit but I was able to call that bluff within 5 minutes of calling my own bank. So clearly they’re lying to the support team in an effort for them to take the blame. At this point I don’t know when I’ll get my money back if ever. On the bright side I’m trying to get my bank to use Zelle so I can pay my rent. Technophobic brainless landlord who only uses Zelle or Google pay aside, the moment I don’t have to use Google pay I will never touch it again. All of this because Google feels they have the right to gamble your money for 5-14 days in order to line the pockets of there CEO so he can take airplane rides with J Epstine to a private island. All in all, Google gives a good reason to have a corporate death penalty. Give me my money back Google.

### 1/5 — Flaw with Transactions

*2021-12-20*

Until recently, I never bothered with the Google Pay transactions that get stuck in “Processing” assuming that they would fail eventually. Apparently, these transactions can be successful after a few days (Poker Face) and the Google Pay customer service team proudly claims this to be true but “unfortunately” cannot do anything about it.

So imagine if your transaction gets stuck in processing when you are paying a shopkeeper, you will have to pay him again if the transaction does not clear in the next few minutes because he needs to be paid and cannot rely on Google Pay’s “processing” time. Now if the transaction becomes successful after 2 days, you would need to go back to the shop again for a refund and explain the “processing” time Google pay takes. Imagine paying on the way while travelling long distances, you do not even have the contact numbers to reach out as they are masked on the Google Pay app.

I am guessing this would be an issue with other payment apps as well, though Paytm upi has let me down less number of times. I would rather play safe and use Wallets (Paytm or other) rather than UPI for random payments.

### 1/5 — ‘Payment is Processing’

*2021-12-11*

Most unreliable platform for digital payment, Imagine if you’ve bought something from a very far away place and are bound to not come back to that place. Imagine having to rely on this app to pay then suddenly, you see ‘payment processing’ written on the screen, so you make another payment(because aint no one gonna give us shet for free) imaging the 1st payment getting stuck for 2 days and after 2-3 days, ‘bling’ somehow the payment becomes successful, now you don’t have any way of contacting the merchant who you double paid. All that’s left to do is go to that far off place or leave the money in god’s will. So to the kind developers, please use your brain and try to think of such possibilities and try to program around that. So far I have lost a huge sum because of this, there are even times when the amount is shown to be ‘processing’ yet the recipient would have had already gotten the money! Who do i blame? I believe it’s about time for you all to get serious about your user’s money.

### 1/5 — BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

*2021-12-04, version 141.0*

Google charged me for an instant transfer to an account that couldn’t accept GOOGLE PAY. I sent them bank confirmation direct from the bank that they cannot accept the Google platform transfers. I provided them with direct phone number which can be verified by Google. They confirmed everything and stated o them have to wait and additional ten days to receive the instant transfer back into Google Pay. They requested all of the documentation just to waste time is what the rep told me. They referred back to their terms but stated they have exceptions and I would fit the criteria but decided that instead I could refer back to the ten day rule. Poor customer service at best. Have been using app without issues for years but they have lost my business.

### 1/5 — I Hate the new update

*2021-06-08, version 127.0*

Google Pay was so much better before. You used to be able to use multiple email addresses now you can only use one. So if you have a business and a personal email you can only use this for one email. I am frustrated because when setting up the new app I accidentally used my business email, I’m not sure how but I think an email was automatically selected for me and by the time I realized which email was there it was too late. I need to use it for a personal transaction and now I can’t. I also used to use it to send money to other accounts and I used to be able to help my mother who is not so computer savvy send money to her family members by signing into her account for her and sending what she needed sent. They also store your money in a google pay account similar to CashApp and you have to wait for days before your money is in the google pay account before you can actually send the money to your intended recipient, or you must keep money in your google pay account just sitting there for when you may need to send money to someone, but with all these things getting hacked from time to time it would not be wise to have money just sitting there. I am so frustrated and disappointed with this. Why fix something that isn’t broken?! Please change it back!!!

### 1/5 — EVERYTHING ABOUT THE NEW APP IS TERRIBLE

*2021-06-04, version 127.0*

Title says it all. I’ve been using Google Pay for years and always loved the old app. I’ve resisted upgrading to the new app for the last few months, until today, when it finally forced me to. I am a tech geek and work in IT, and even I can’t describe how much I hate this new app. It is the opposite of user friendly and not aesthetically pleasing at all. It’s loaded with all these unnecessary features and pages which cause nothing but confusion. It changed contact names in my list. It can’t even see my entire transaction history...just bits and pieces over the last year or so. Google needs to either allow us to use the old app or completely revamp this one. I’ll be using PayPal and Venmo in the meantime. Good job Google...you really screwed up.

### 1/5 — Piece of garbage!

*2021-06-01, version 127.0*

The fact that we now have to pay a fee to transfer out immediately is ridiculous. The old google pay was absolutely amazing since it transferred right away without a fee. I’m so upset that we can no longer use the old app and are forced to use this new app that charges a fee. It’s also very confusing to find out how to navigate the app, and is very deceiving when transferring your money because it’s very easy to not notice that it will charge a fee unless you change the settings and see the little drop down option to wait 5 business days and not be charged a fee. First time using the app, I was charged a $27 fee for a transaction since it was super easy to not notice that there are other options (such as not being charged a fee). They make it confusing so you accidentally pay the fee instead of being easily directed to ALL OF THE OPTIONS. I now hate this app. I will be going back to using venmo instead of this crappy new google pay app. I wish I could give this a -5 stars. Do not use this app, there are other apps and payment methods that don’t charge a fee and transfer money faster than google pay.

### 1/5 — Trash - DO NOT USE ANYMORE

*2021-05-20, version 127.0*

Google pay use to be PERFECT. I would send money from one of my cards to the other without using Zelle (too complicated doing it when it’s your money to your other account), cash app (didn’t want to do because of the fees to deposit), and I definitely didn’t want to wait 3-5 business days for my money to be available in my account when I need it NOW. Well they’ve completely changed that. They won’t let you back into the old app where all of the magic was. You’re being forced to use their new app, where you HAVE to pay fees to deposit into your bank account or else you HAVE to wait the 3-5 business days. I use to conveniently switch back & forth from gmail to another since they had different cards.. well if you log out of Google pay, they completely DELETE your information & you have to re-add your card & information every time you log back in. I’m deleting this app & I suggest you do the same because for all of this, you might as well you cash app. At least with cash app, you get a card to use if you want to use your money immediately. 🚮

### 1/5 — Acts like a phishing scam

*2021-05-19, version 127.0*

New app is trash, App Store shows reviews for the old app, old app is no longer usable If someone send you money it will be stored in your Google wallet. If you want it to go to your bank account via debit card like it used to work you need to provide your bank login credentials to include password and PIN number to a third party, Plaid (read PHISHING SCAM) and then charge you 1.5% to do what used to be free. As Google is in the data harvesting business it is absolutely scary that the want unfettered access to your banking credentials when all that has been historically necessary is the card number of the account you want the money on. Or you can use it as an ACH transfer and wait days for them to earn interest on your money before they give it to you. My login credentials for my bank have been changed and bank CSR escalated to fraud department.

### 1/5 — Wow Google…

*2021-05-18, version 127.0*

This is honestly the worst update I have ever experienced. Talk about “fixing” something that wasn’t broken. This app used to be hands down the best money transfer app, and then all in one horrific forced update - they destroyed it. The new interface is completely convoluted, and they’ve now added a fee to deposit your money..like google isn’t a multi-trillion dollar corporation. Furthermore they now say there is no way to cancel a transaction once it has been sent which has never been the case in the past. I’m not often compelled to write reviews but honestly this “update” was just offensive. Keep the old app as long as you are able too..oh yeah they make you download an entirely new app for this trash as well. Hopefully if enough people call Google on this gargantuan lapse in judgment, they will just give us the old app back..

### 1/5 — Terrible and Confusing App - Old app mad way better

*2021-05-16, version 127.0*

I thought new apps were supposed to be better and more user-friendly. This app is very confusing to use with a whole bunch of useless additions built in. All I want to do is simply add my credit card and use Google pay for quick easy payments. Instead of keeping the app user-friendly and intuitive to use Google decided to add all sorts of additional connections with businesses and moved away from quickly easily at a credit cards. Now you have to log into your bank account to use your credit card which is something I do not want to be put into my phone regardless of the supposed added security. I guess I will be sticking with Apple Pay everywhere now which was much easier to set up.

### 1/5 — New version a flop

*2021-05-14, version 127.0*

Used and loved Google pay for a long time. Used to be able to receive payments that were automatically deposited to my PNC bank account. Now Google pay can no longer connect directly to my bank account, and deposit has to go through my debit card for which I am charged a fee.

Tried contacting Google support, and their response was basically that It wasn’t their fault the Plaid platform they just started using isn’t accepted by PNC, and told me to contact PNC to try get them to change their policy.... So I guess I’m now supposed to get one of the largest banks in the country to change their security policy? (I think the issue between PNC and plaid has been going on for a few years now, and is a result of Plaid and similar companies trying to circumvent PNC data security protocols, so I don’t really expect this to be solved any time soon, but you should definitely fact check me on that)

May be good for other people, but Google pay no longer is capable of doing what I need it for, so I don’t plan on using it anymore.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst service

*2025-10-14*

am deeply disappointed with the customer service and support provided by Google Pay, which has been utterly inadequate in resolving a critical issue with my account. For over a month, I have been reaching out to Google Pay’s customer care team regarding an autopay feature that has been erroneously deducting funds from my account multiple times. Despite my persistent efforts, the issue remains unresolved, and the support team has failed to take responsibility or provide a solution.
The problem stems from an inability to disable the autopay feature, which displays an error message about a “fingerprint mismatch.” This is particularly frustrating as I use an iPhone without a fingerprint sensor, making the error message irrelevant and highlighting a clear flaw in the app’s system. Initially, the customer care team assured me that the issue would be resolved, but subsequent interactions have been met with dismissive responses, claiming the issue is “not in their hands.” As the operators of Google Pay, it is unacceptable that they are unable to address what appears to be a technical bug or adjust their system to resolve such issues.
This unresolved issue has caused significant distress, as I am unable to maintain funds in my account without fear of unauthorized deductions. The lack of accountability and ineffective support have made it impossible to use Google Pay with confidence. I urge Google Pay to address this matter promptly and implement better customer service practices to prevent others from experiencing similar frustrations. I hope this review brings attention to my issue so that a resolution can be provided, allowing me to use the service without further inconvenience.

### 1/5 — Worst Customer service

*2025-08-10*

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I recently received from your customer support team. I contacted Google Pay support to address an issue I have been facing while trying to add my bank account to the app. Despite following all the necessary steps and ensuring that my bank account details are correct, I have been unable to link the account successfully. However, what was even more frustrating was the behavior of your customer service representative. Instead of listening to my problem attentively and providing any helpful guidance, the representative seemed disinterested and dismissive. Before I could even explain the issue fully or ask any follow-up questions, the call was abruptly disconnected. This lack of professionalism and empathy is unacceptable, especially when customers are reaching out for genuine support. I expected better service from a platform as widely used and trusted as Google Pay. I urge you to look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that no other customer has to face such an unpleasant experience in the future. Additionally, I request prompt assistance in resolving the issue of linking my bank account to Google Pay, as this is affecting my ability to make necessary transactions.

### 1/5 — Needs More Control Over Saved Details and Interface Cleanup

*2025-05-25*

Google Pay is a reliable and convenient platform for money transfers and daily transactions. However, there are a couple of usability issues that need the developers’ attention:
	1.	No Option to Edit/Delete Saved Bank Details: When using the bank transfer option, there’s currently no way to edit or remove previously saved account numbers. This can be frustrating when account details change or are entered incorrectly. Adding the ability to manage these saved details would greatly improve user control and security.
	2.	Cluttered Payment History with Unnecessary Profiles: After completing payments, GPay saves people and business profiles in a list that keeps growing. For many users, this becomes a long and mostly irrelevant list. It would be helpful to provide an option to remove or hide these profiles to keep the interface clean and relevant.

Hope the GPay team considers these updates in future releases for a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.

### 1/5 — Processing payment. If money is debited from account it will get refunded

*2025-03-20*

I had paid money to the merchant but it was showing payment still processing and money will get reflects in your account. So i paid again the same amount to the merchant and it got successful. After some time i was checking my transactions history it showed me that i my first transaction got successful so basically i have paid the merchant twice the same money. So i have called the customer care about these issue then he was directly bluffing saying no such message of the transaction processing he can see it was successful when i paid that from that time only really worst customer team google pay have anyways he is giving me advice to goto bank or complain to the authorities but for their side issue why should I waste my time on these things i have to go and check in my bank and take every stress which these google pay don’t care about there customer and really making hectic process. I was using paytm it was really peaceful no such bug or issue was there I shifted to these google pay because i was trusting google services but it really make me sad today the overall experience i had with these google pay platform. Anyway i am going to uninstall these full of bugs application and i will try not to use any google apps where the money transactions happens.

### 1/5 — Terrible customer support & glitchy app

*2024-05-26*

I am using google pay for last couple of years for majority of my digital transactions. I am writing this review after struggling with this glitchy app and a futile call and discussion with the customer support.
This app has a glitch. It can give you nightmare if you are trying to reactivate your bank account or if you are trying to retrieve your old or existing UPI ID. It offers use of multiple UPI IDs for better transactions but switching between them is impossible at times. After 3 failed attempts at reactivation of bank account or UPI ID, the app does not let you try again for next 24 hours, if you fail again after 24 hours (which is likely because of this glitchy app), you will again have to wait for another 24 hours. And the cycle sadly repeats. I’ve been trying since last two days to meet a deadline for an auto-pay mandate but looks like I will not be able to complete it in thine because of this glitch. I thought calling customer care might be useful but the 2-minute wait followed by a 10-15 minutes of discussion didn’t yield any solution instead made me feel that Google doesn’t really care to offer any quick solution nor fix the issues with the app. After talking to customer care support, I felt that I should stop using this app. I will switch to PhonePe and also hope that Apple soon launches the Apple Pay service in India on full scale so that we have a reliable solution and a good alternative to this glitchy app.

### 1/5 — Instant Transfer Processing for Ten Days and No Help

*2022-10-17, version 164.0*

Can I please have my money?? I did an instant transfer ten days ago and the money still says “processing”. I filed an issue the first day and was told GooglePay experienced a technical error and my money would be transferred in 24 to 48 hours. Since then I have to beg for email updates and live chats with employees. The “updates” state that I will be updated again soon. When I ask what the technical issue is and how many more days or weeks my money will say processing, I’m told my issue was “escalated” the first day. I’m told my money will be transferred “soon”. Nobody will help me beyond promising updates that only include a promise for another update. There is NO problem on my part. It was an issue with GooglePay. GooglePay has refused to even hint at a timeline for allowing me to have MY money back. Is this really how GooglePay operates? They have technical errors they can not fix and refuse to communicate? GooglePay has my money and will not let me have it back. That is criminal.

### 1/5 — False sense of security

*2022-09-07, version 160.0*

I am extremely disappointed with this service. I’ve been trying to file a dispute for almost two months in regards to a fraudulent transaction, and due to Google Pay’s system issues, I have not been able to submit the dispute in which appears to be the only way possible, by using their APP. I’ve attempted to contact them by email, I’ve been disrespected by phone, and every time I’ve called (at this point around 7 times) I’ve been told to wait 48 hours for a resolution. As an act of desperation, I have requested to speak to a supervisor, and I’ve been told they don’t have any contact with supervisors; therefore, they were not able to assist me. I’ve been hung up on a few times, just because I’ve requested to have some kind of answer of what’s going on. In the meantime, my dispute was never filed, and I’m still waiting for them to fix their system issues. It is a real shame such powerful company has such terrible interface, and non existent customer service. I’ve searched online for information on how ti be able to contact a manager from this company, the the information is non existent as well. Only the same customer service number which is good for nothing. I even submitted a “formal grievance” about this issue, but never even received an acknowledgment from their part. As consumers, we use these type of platforms to feel a little safer while doing online transactions, but they have failed me miserably.

### 1/5 — Worst service by Sundar Pichai and his employess

*2022-08-23*

First of All I must say a big company like google has created a worst payment app. One fine day I was unable to remove or delete my bank account so i raised a ticket by calling them and its 7+ months now and its still the same. When asked them they say the ratofied speech which says “ sorry for the inconvenience. This is the last time u calling and you don't need to worry it will be resolved soon and here it goes and on. Google pay india is not caring about their customers. I think the ceo Mr Sundar Pichai has stopped valuing customers especially from India. This is a shame. People at google I don’t know what they are get paid for especially in customer services. Even supervisors has no answers. Are you guys playing office office? Seriously guys Google is going down in terms of customer service , the worst customer service I have experienced. Nobody have the guts to answer this as they only reply to those who give them 4-5 stars…. Stop giving them so many stars they dont deserve. Mr Sundar Pichai is busy earning money crushing all hopes and respect from Indian customers. I think he doesn’t care anymore about India.

### 1/5 — Fire whoever came up with this garbage..

*2022-05-03, version 151.0*

This is a dead app at this point. Look at the reviews. Nobody is using this app anymore. Zelle is better than this. The old google pay was better for users. Simplicity was better. Old app was simple, straight to the point. Whoever made this app wanted to frustrate customers. Garbage app with too much noise, difficult to use, frustrating experience. I mean I’ve used the old app for years and was happy, but with this one it just makes me mad to use because everything you try to do requires a million clicks. Fire whoever approved making this app! Make it simple like the old app, why complicate the experience? That’s DUMB!! Trash! Why even use this app if it’s no longer free to send instant? And sending free means it’s pointless, you might as well transfer using your bank to bank, this is slower than that. Google dropped the ball with this app. WORST APP EVER!!

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2022-04-02, version 148.0*

Knowing there are many who do not use Apple, I wanted to use GooglePay to pay for goods or services to parties who do no have Apple accounts.

I tried Google Pay app (GP) today and was very disappointed. I just deleted it.

I found It to be too cumbersome, very intrusive and, if I were to not pay attention to what I allow the app to do, I could opened the doors to the google world into my finances.

I had no desire to deposit cash in the GP account, but I was not able to easily find the way to add my credit and debit cards as my payment vehicle. I Google-searched for that, but it was not possible to follow instructions I received using the curren GP app version.

The app wants access to my contacts list to allow me to easily send money to my friends and family; no, I do not want Google to have that information.

Of course, It is very easy to link bank accounts to GP, and Google could tell me how good/bad I’m doing in managing my finances.

This app also offers me information on getting rewards, or controlling my expenses, or providing information on other vendors, etc. etc. etc…

Thanks Google Pay but,

NO, thanks.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Feedback and Suggestion

*2024-09-14*

Love using this app and it’s simplicity. Have been using for a while now.

I think it would be much better if there’s a note feature in the transactions we made to the other peoples. Sometimes, I don’t remember what I’ve paid for to this person when I’m calculating my bills at the end of the month. It would so much easy for us to just write the item name that we’re purchasing with the transaction. Right now, I have to use a different app for this thing.

The reason behind this suggestion is that often times we as humans made impulse purchase without thinking that if this item worth buying or not. So, when we have a little note taking feature with the transaction that we made to the person/business, at the end of the month we can reflect that purchase and make wiser decisions for the next time.

### 5/5 — Helping people make good decisions about recovering their cryptocurrency lost funds.

*2023-11-18*

In this cryptocurrency trading, forex, or stocks trading differently, from blocking withdrawal to overcharging the trading fees or commissions.
Either way, the loss can be permanent if you don't take a quick step to dispute the transaction and get restored.

### 5/5 — Drawbacks of GP nowadays

*2020-12-04*

From last 7 days the transaction is not done due to technical errors most of the time.. it says your bank server is not responding, technical issue etc. So I went to my bank to tell that this error is appearing but they say Our bank’s server is good; problem is with your GPay.. in 24 hours schedule only few minutes or may be an hour I can Transfer Money but the whole day it’s showing error.. I also try to check My internet connection whether it’s properly working or not but I found my Internet connection is Good.. my GPay app is also updated and I believe I check marked every possibilities for a customer to use GPay.. I am so frustrated that my GPay is not working properly when I needed the most.. In business Hours If it’s not working then it’s useless to me for continuing use of GPay..
I can understand If it would be for 2 days but it’s already crossed limit now.. So Developers please Look into this matter As soon as Possible and resolve this problem.. I hope I’ll reuse GPay soon...

### 5/5 — Great New App

*2020-11-18, version 117.0*

Google Pay needed a revamp, and this is it. Now, just get NFC to NFC tap payments working between phones, and a few other things that would help keep Coronavirus spread down, and we will be set! Having the ability to add my current checking account info in, and not just CC info and etc would also be helpful, but I’m sure that’s a security thing. Overall, best app for requesting payments. People see the Google name, they trust it, and also....you don’t even need an account necessarily to pay someone, unlike with Apple Pay and some other things like that. So that’s also a plus!

### 5/5 — Poor Service

*2019-11-07*

I regularly use this app & do bill payments in multiple numbers but last day I have made three bill payment all are failed & money got deducted from account there is no proper customer care only some computerised response given that they will address the problem after three days. Now all the payment were made twice since we are bound to pay all the bills on time. Now my advice not to use this app to pay the bills which are having time frame. Second I financial app need to be responsible which google pay is not now during 3 days you can not do any thing if they process the pay you will found to pay twice if they do not then wait for the mercy of google. It is better to pay through your credit or debit card because if payment got stuck at least bank address your problem. So do not recommend to use the app.

### 5/5 — Inconsistent

*2019-10-09*

Hi Team,

This is a feedback for you to look into this issue now, one of transactions is failed and the amount been debited from my bank account but it’s not been refunded automatically. When I contacted the GP Team for this, I was told it will be credited to the beneficiary within 3 business days and I will have to contact them to get that back. This is a ridiculous process and there is no ownership that GP holds with any transaction other than simply debited money. I had same scenario couple of times and o had to contact the receiver to give the money back(like seriously!!!!). I am now in an ever more plight this time, I should be contacting a government organisation (IRCTC) to get my money back, I absolutely have no hope for this and it’s frustrating.

This is to bring to your notice that I am not happy with the service this app provides. The transactions I make through this consistently fails and getting a refund back is being a nightmare every time. I am seriously doubtful of choosing Google pay for payments in the future as I cannot afford to stake my money on some volatile application which fails most times nor I will recommend any of my friends to use this.

### 4/5 — Google should take ownership of all transactions like Paytm does

*2021-03-27*

One a couple of occasions, I booked train tickets on irctc app. Money got debited from my CC but no ticket was issued. The details of the transactions were also not available on their app or desktop version. No email, no transaction ID, nothing! I called irctc but they didn’t entertain my complaint as I didn’t have the transaction ID. I raised a complaint with my CC company and they provisionally credited the money back but after investigation debited it again saying irctc informed them that the transaction was successful and the ticket was indeed booked. But I didn’t get any details of the ticket or transaction. Now I book using Paytm because Paytm acts as a wall between me and irctc. If the ticket is booked they give the details of the ticket else refund the amount.

We expect the same from Google!

### 4/5 — Inconsistent and no rewards

*2019-11-17*

I have faced issues where my transactions have been debited but wasn't received from the other end. Gave them multiple feedbacks in addition to this problem but haven't received any acknowledgment. My assumptions are that no one goes through any feedback and it's only a matter of instilling a thought of relief to the customer. Earlier there were a lot of rewards been handed for transactions above 150/- but these days it's only a matter of better luck next time for transactions above 10k. I suggest you start providing alternate guaranteed rewards unlike the Diwali offer which I personally felt was a scam. It was not only difficult to carry out transactions during this period but it was equally frustrating to see no cashback handed and same sticker provided when being aware that 98% of the users lack one sticker to achieving a cashback. Else customers who are vary of the situation will bounce back to using cards for guaranteed rewards. Very disappointed with google pay in this regard.

### 4/5 — Good Payment App with scope for new features

*2019-10-15*

I am almost a daily user of Gpay and while the app is good to use and efficient it still has a lot of scope to improve.
1. The scratch card reward offer is a waste. Since past many months whenever I receive such a card, its only turns out to be a “Better Luck Next Time”. I will say 10/10 times it has turned out same. And in the rarest case if anything comes the cashback is just a single digit amount. This should be improved with frequent cashbacks and in double digits atleast (even if in 10s). Better Luck Next Time is a waste of time for any customer using Gpay.
2. Since long time now, for the iOS app, Tap-to-Pay feature can be introduced or added to the app. Making it kind of a wallet (alongside UPI system). When all modern iPhones have NFC feature then why not use its potential through the app.

### 3/5 — Can’t Buy Gas

*2021-06-21, version 129.0*

I only got this app because a regular customer of mine only had or knew how to use Google Pay. I use many different cash apps. Almost all of them allow me to move money into my main bank without fees. Yes, most charge to instantly add to a debit card. If I can connect a bank account to Google Pay, it’s not anywhere as easy to do as the other cash apps. But my BIGGEST frustration with this app is I use this for mostly driving a customer around. I sure wish I could buy gas with it. I read all over the Internet on how to do it. The instructions are simple and clear. Just tap the “Pay” tab and scroll down to “Get Gas”. Problem is, there is hardly anything to scroll through… There are two things to pick from, food and parking. NOTHING about getting gas. This app is extremely difficult to figure, far more than it needs to be. Again, I’m only using it because I have a customer who only uses it. Apple Pay is worlds better than this app. Please! Let me buy gas with it!!!!
