Advancing in this game takes forever. In the beginning it’s not too bad but then it gets to the point of being impossible. Unlocking land cost millions of G coins plus other items or buying monsters costs hundreds of G dollars and unless you’re willing to pay actual money or watch ads all day to build up your G dollars you can collect a whole dollar with Slappy and another two with the scare meter meaning it would literally take all year to have enough to buy a single monster or unlock a small piece of land. However, it’s still Christmas themed and now I can’t even get the app to open to play anymore. It just automatically shuts down and goes to my Home Screen even after restarting everything and clearing everything out. I’ve tried the “app support” in the App Store and it says the page is not found so I don’t know how to contact anyone for help with this game! Also, unfortunately there are a lot of books that you must pay for. I’m disappointed because Goosebumps has always been a favorite I had high hopes for the game. ### 3/5 — Good… *2026-02-01, version 1.7.8* So I downloaded this after the Simpsons tapped out was removed and this is basically the same with similar game play and layout etc with a spooky twist. So for that reason, I love the game however, also for that reason I’ve noticed some bits. Allot of quests require premium purchases so leaves allot of open unfinished quests in the quest tab, which for me is annoying. The game is abit buggy. The pier once unlocked doesn’t seem to allow you to edit it, which is frustrating to me, as the reason I really like this game is for the free build aspect and ability to design a town, so not being able to edit this large space in the game, especially when space and expansion is much more difficult to come by is very sad. (You get one plot per level but once unlocked by your level you then need lots of coins and sometimes rare resources to finally unlock). When doing landscaping and fencing, they’re unable to go corner to corner if you’re doing a boundary, so I’ve had to put things in front to disguise that they can’t go together tidily. There’s not that much you’re able to buy with coins and most things are premium bucks which don’t accumulate well unless you buy them. I would love some more decor bits I.e plants, trees and infrastructure such as parking lots or phone booths etc to make it more town like. I am only level 13 so perhaps there is more to come as I progress. I will continue playing as it’s the closest to Simpsons which I adored so this will do to fill the void of that game. ### 5/5 — Great game for sure *2025-12-26, version 1.7.8* It’s just great no review ### 3/5 — Devs MIA *2025-12-16, version 1.7.8* The base game is pretty good, except for the fact that so many obligatory tasks require the premium currency (bills) in order for you to progress. Bill acquisition is extremely slow. On top of this, the game hasn’t been updated in a year. Facebook connection doesn’t work even though the game prompts you to connect every other login. As a replacement for Tapped Out, it suffices, but really just makes you nostalgic for it. To my shock, the studio behind this has been bought out by a crypto bro NFT scamming company. I’m really disappointed since this was one of the last good simulation/building games that mimicked the formula from the late 00s era. Don’t bother contacting “support” it’s non-existent because they rather gut Pixowl after acquiring it, take your money & not give you items for the micro transactions within the game to fund their NFT scams. I’m really disappointed too because literally they still have servers online so they are paying Scholastic the IP fee to continue keeping the game up. But they couldn’t even do the decency of making a final update to make it an all in one game like Animal Crossing did for Pocket Camp.
