Also is there a reason that the newly released hymns are not under other hymns as some are for children. **Developer response:** The updated song list is in the new update that was released on March 19! They can only color the same thing so many times before it gets old. I am the Primary music leader in a small branch and I use the music section as my accompaniment. I deducted a star from my rating because the function of easily toggling between Music / Voices has been inexplicably removed when playing the music recordings. This makes my job so much harder! I need to have the voices on the recording for teaching the song, then I need to be able to turn that off easily as the kids learn the song better so they can sing on their own (and during the Primary Program). PLEASE BRING THIS BACK!!! Why was it removed? The rest of the app is great. **Developer response:** We are so glad you enjoy the app! As we are updating the images in the videos to better illustrate the concept of each song, we have to switch to a format that does not support toggling between music and voices, so we will not be able to include this feature in the Gospel for Kids app. However, you can find this feature in the Sacred Music app that works the same way. Then about a year ago the songs would glitch and I couldn’t access them without the app crashing. The songs then started working again, but the hymns were gone and there was only the Children’s Songbook and some extras/newer, trendy songs. I opened it this morning there is literally nothing in the music portion. Even the playlist I made to practice for our Primary Program was empty. I’m devastated! I’m at capacity for storage space, so I guess I’ll just have to delete the app since it’s no longer useful for singing or learning church music. I really want to love this app, but unfortunately I just don’t. EDITED: I gave it time and found this morning that it’s working again. Whew! I was SO sad when I opened it after the Aug 2023 update where they removed the hymns 😭 We often have the hymns playing as background (cast to the TV) because we loved the beautiful slideshows and the bouncing sing along ball helps my children learn to read and understand the hymns. I know we could just listen to the hymns some other way, but this was my favorite way and now it’s gone. Except 1. Want this passed on to those creators. Nobody understands food allergies. We have food allergies and celiac. The one where the boys bake the girl cookies who says she was allergic. In real life we cannot eat anything others bake in their house that shares our allergens. It give people false ideas. That they can be generous and accommodating like that with allergies. If someone gives us cookies it makes us feel bad and we may say thank you before they go in the garbage. If someone tries to make gluten free like relief society did Sunday it goes in the garbage because I cannot eat foods others make in their house using their sugar. Prepackaged food that clearly doesn’t have the allergens is all we can have as gifts. I understand the idea of service, but it’s cringy to us celiacs and allergy people. ### 4/5 — Amazing, but some bugs *2023-02-12* This has been an amazing tool for teaching my son the basics of the gospel. But when we clicked on Jacob in the Book of Mormon, the app closes down. I tried resetting the device, deleting and redownloading the app, not sure what is causing the bug. Over a month ago the coloring pages stopped working. When I click on a page to color, the whole app immediately shuts down. I have deleted and reinstalled it a few times hoping it was fixed. When it’s working right my kids love this app and I love them using it! Before the coloring feature broke I would have given five stars. **Developer response:** Thank you for letting us know! The team is working on this issue but uninstalling and reinstalling the app should also help resolve the problem. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Please stop requiring multiplication *2024-10-24* I love the selection, but requiring the parents to solve a multiplication problem every time they select print gets old really fast, especially when printing many different pages at a time or working with a buggy printer. As a parent of young children, I find this barrier-to-entry quite annoying as at times I have to solve 10+ math problems while holding crying kids and working with a frustrating printer. I feel it is a disservice to parents to not allow this feature to be disabled. **Developer response:** Thank you for this feedback! We loved it but now since the update, the pictures move across the screen and it is distracting. They pictures move too fast where my son can’t see the picture before the next one. I don’t know if it’s a setting on my end butI can’t figure out how to fix it nor do I know how to get ahold of anyone to ask or get a response to emails. I normally don’t write reviews but in hopes that someone can assist me, I will write this one. I just had an idea for the mazes.
