This truly is a great app, but the last update caused some problems: related content disappears, bookmark fails, bookmark updates, and like others have said, it is choppy and laggy. One go-around fix is to keep a Home Screen window always open, go to that, and pull down to refresh (but this action needs to be done with each window). ### 4/5 — App is great but is missing a few features *2026-07-12, version 7.7.1* Navigating the app is fine. Highlighting scriptures is very intuitive. There are a few features I would love to see added. Highlighted scriptures should be able to be organized into user defined topics. Highlight colors should show the predetermined color as well as a user defined color using the color picker. Writing using any type of stylus should be able to be used throughout the app. Writing colors should also be considered as well as allowing others to pick their own color. ### 4/5 — Bugs… *2026-07-10, version 7.7.0* I’m using an iPhone 16 pro max. Lately double tapping to make the header and footer disappear is mostly not working. It’s sporadic at best. Also as of late clicking on footnotes in a verse isn’t working. Additionally there can be lag switching between multiple tabs in the app. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. That helps for a while but soon the same bugs come back. If I could take a screen recording and send it to one of your devs that would be great! Thanks, ### 4/5 — Full screen - bleh *2026-07-09, version 7.7.0* Please revert back to the conference talk videos not automatically entering full screen when played, it is SO annoying to have it pop up and then have to tell it to go back. If I want it full screen, that should be an option, not the rule. I also don’t like that it doesn’t pop back in, just floats on the screen. The previous way was MUCH better. Also, I’m unable to add bookmarks now, oops. Please fix!!! ### 3/5 — Progress *2026-07-08, version 7.7.0* This app is developed over the years, but after over a decade of frequent requests to have tabbed side-by-side studies, still not a thing. I kept another scripture app of the book of Mormon on Standard Work just so I could do the side-by-side reading Mathew chapter 5 and 3 Nephi 12 and other scriptures that match the Bible for comparisons, but not something they’ve added so glad we now have a back button to go to the last thing that was opened, we are for now missing the forward button. Youve turned a reading and study app into a collection of isolated file cabinets instead of treating your actual workflow and journey as the primary interface. By forcing everything into strict structural silos (Scriptures here, General Conference there, Manuals in another drawer), the app completely breaks the natural flow of study. When you are jumping between a verse in Alma, a footnote link, a handbook, and a 1980 conference talk, your study history is your context. Burying that trail behind multi-tap menus or treating history as an afterthought (or a basic text log) completely misses how people actually engage with complex text libraries. An interface built truly around history would make your timeline the canvas—a fluid, chronological stream where your path of discovery is front and center, letting you swipe effortlessly back through your exact footprint instead of forcing you to re-navigate nested directory trees. History is everything. Where we've been. The progress we've made. The last time we accessed. Timestamps, titles, progress, re-opening the app and history being the first screen. Developers please eliminate the plague of menus. Articles’ info should be on the main page, not weirdly hidden in menus. To relieve bloat, begin by separating out the scriptures into their own four separate apps. And separate back out Hymns. Fix ‘Search’ so that it actually works, or don’t have it at all. We implore that all articles have a PDF option. And we plead: stop the practice of using phone volunteers who merely sooth, pacify, placate, and give faux fixes. It insults, frustrates us. Be guided by the Steve Jobs slogan, “Begin with the user in mind.” Developers, think about what that means. It would be cool if there was an option to block social media and gaming apps on the phone until one completed a lesson or read a chapter or something. The Duolingo app recently added a feature for this, which gave me the idea.
