I like to use the images for social media posts, but I can’t get to them - only a blank page appears. I have deleted and redownloaded the app numerous times, looked for a “Help” feature, tried different settings, but nothing has worked. Is there any solution to this problem? ### 2/5 — No login/ can’t sync *2022-09-17, version 2.5.0* I had multiple presentations saved and I can no longer access them because there is nowhere to login to the app. That also means that I can’t sync my iPhone and iPad. Please fix this. I use this app often to present material in my RS lessons and rely on those features. ### 4/5 — Good but... *2020-08-16, version 2.3.0* I wish it supported just regular mirroring onto TVs instead of just chrome cast. ### 3/5 — Video download is hit-or-miss *2020-01-05, version 2.1.1* Several times, I am able to find a video and play it OK, but if I then try to download it for offline playing then it fails and tells me to check my internet connection, even though it’s working 100% for every other application, and even for the Gospel Media app in all other cases I specifically need to be able to download so that during a Sunday School lesson I don’t have to rely on the meetinghouse Internet, which can be slow and cause playback issues when streaming. The Gospel Media app doesn’t give me any further details of why it won’t download. It just doesn’t ! This is incredible frustrating. It seems that the problem occurs with some videos, but not others. This suggests maybe a problem with the URL that’s being used “behind the scenes”. Strangely, streaming playback always seems to work. Double frustration ! If I go to the Media Library website, I can watch the videos e.g. in Chrome, and I can download the videos by copying the URL to VLC Player. But really, I shouldn’t have to use this “hack” ! ### 4/5 — Good supplement to lessons, some bugs... *2019-11-10, version 2.1.1* I have really enjoyed using this app to find images and video clips to use with my lessons, but I did want to point out that the app crashed every time I search “Jesus” under Images. Though if I search under Video or Music, then click over to Images, I can then load the search results. ### 3/5 — It won’t let me watch anything. *2019-05-19, version 2.1.0* I had this app as a missionary, and it was an amazing tool to have to help with investigators visually, I recently downloaded the app and when I attempted to play any videos, it kicked me out of the app. This app has the potential of being five stars cause it truly is an awesome app, but it just needs to be fixed👍🏼 ### 3/5 — Lost menu bar *2019-02-27, version 2.0.0* I have been using the app for my Sunday School lessons. I have the app on my phone and iPad. I signed in to have sharing across devices. Now the menu for settings and my media is missing from my phone. I have used it for 3 or 4 lessons now. I have found that at least 1 video in each lesson so far, when I go to play the video it shows it as not downloaded (even though I downloaded it before going to church). L. ### 3/5 — Can’t see picture full screen *2018-01-28, version 1.0.4* There is no quick way (that I have figured out) to tap on a picture and see it full screen on my iPad. The only way I have figured out how to do this is by adding it to a playlist, then going into the playlist to view the picture. There are so many times where I would love to be able to quickly pull up a painting to show my children, but for now, this isn’t possible. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worst app ever if trying to use for teaching *2023-01-29, version 2.5.0* Won’t cast. Wo’t even acknowledge that there are multiple options for casting on the network despite demanding that in order to cast you must give it access to your network. I’ve got too many other apps that have requested that permission, but have turned it off, and they still cast just fine. This one has permission, and cannot seem to see any of the possible casting locations, Apple TV, or Chromecast. Sometimes videos will show a splash screen and the sound will come out of a TV when connected by HDMI, but mostly just a gray screen. Even when using solo, videos show a Play button with a line through them even when downloaded. Just keep closing and opening the video and occasionally they’ll play. Would be nice if it worked, but clearly not designed for iOS/iPadOS ### 1/5 — Version 2.5.0 is a step backwards *2022-09-20, version 2.5.0* Why did you remove the ability to sync content between devices? As a seminary teacher, I loved that I could create presentations on my iPad or laptop, and then present them on a tv using my iPhone. Now I have to clip videos using a small phone screen in order to use my phone to play videos on the TV in class. This is a step backwards in capability. Please bring back the ability to sync between devices. ——-Update——- Lowered to 1 star because not all videos can be clipped to limit the part of the video shown. To make it worse, you have to add it to a presentation to find out if it can be edited. This is really tedious when there are about 25 copies of the video (like “To Look Upon”). ### 1/5 — Can’t depend on this app *2022-09-09, version 2.5.0* The app does not allow you to play the entire video that you downloaded. The images that I download can’t display over hdmi. Videos only show a short clip. It’s a very problematic app, wish I could depend on it because the presentations feature would be epic for teaching seminary. Alas, I can use Google Slides. The search engine and media library are quite lacking, needs Boolean search and needs access to the extended media library of the church. Needs the ability to clip media too. However, every time I try to open up anything from it, it crashes. I haven’t been able to use it in weeks. I teach Young Women’s and it’s so frustrating when I should be able to make a video presentation and it ends up crashing and we can’t use it. The same goes for studying with my kids. I hope they get it fixed because I think it could be such a great tool. ### 1/5 — Movie player window *2018-03-27, version 1.0.4* I really love the possibilities of this app, downloading movies , making playlists, etc. however, when you go to play a movie, the floating window that comes up ( and in full screen mode) is very temperamental. It is so sensitive that if you go to hit touch anything ( eg pause or rewind, etc) the app thinks you want to stop watching that particular video and closes the window. You are left to go start the movie over...it doesn’t kick back up where you left off. This is painful if watching a long movie and wanting to pause or if children accidentally touch the screen - the movie goes away and you are back on the browse screen. Starting the movie over and fast forwarding is a nightmare since it is so sensitive and often jumps you back to the browse window as well. If you could just fix this one issue this app would be great! It shouldn’t be something sensitive and maybe ask if you want to end the movie. It would be lovely to have it also ask if you want to pick up where you left off. ### 1/5 — I wish it was a better app *2017-01-25, version 1.0* I don't like this app because I can't in large the pictures at least on your phone. Also I think they should make it so all you have to do is swipe it to get to the next picture. ### 2/5 — Won’t allow you to watch videos *2023-02-05, version 2.5.0* I love this app. This app is provided with lots of Gospel material such as videos, images, I even listened to some of the podcasts such as Saints vol.1 the only problem I have with it is I can’t watch any of the videos. None at all. Not sure if there’s any complications with the app. I like watching the films on here and now I can’t for some reason. I hope this issue gets resolved soon.
