Whether it’s the initial page, the food itself, adding a card, selecting a debit card, it’s always something. It’s been 45 mins I’ve been trying to order lunch. Now I’m done. Every time I place an order, I end up with only half of what I paid for and I can never get a refund from the restaurants or gotchew! ### 1/5 — GotChew deceptively raises food prices ! *2019-01-02, version 3.19.18* I have been using GotChew for a while now. I have no problem paying a reasonable delivery fee. However today I went to order from the GotChew app, and noticed that all of the prices we’re about 3 to 4 dollars more per item than the restaurant menu. When I called the restaurant to ask if they changed their prices, they said no. They told me that GotChew has the right to edit the prices as well as charging a delivery fee. Sounds pretty scummy to me. I am hungry, but I still have my principles darnit! I am putting GotChew in an indefinite time out until they correct this injustice against humanity. ### 1/5 — Charged my card $55.20, never received order *2018-08-26, version 3.17.10* Never received my order from Freestones after this scam charges my card $55.20. No customer service. Unacceptable👎 ### 2/5 — Was decent but now... *2020-05-12, version 3.19.42* I placed an order and it was stuck on “pending” for the longest time. I figured the order was still going to arrive but maybe the app wasn’t updating properly. 40 minutes later and all of a sudden it says “rejected”. What??? Tried emailing them and didn’t get a response in a timely manner. I like supporting small businesses like gotchew but it’s much easier using other delivery services. ### 3/5 — delivery driver was ignorant! *2021-04-24, version 4.31.4* The app is great, but the drivers who work for this app where I live are ignorant fools! My fiancé ordered food he called he was outside we came down stairs I go outside to pick up the food, I told the driver my fiancé is right there her name is __ I came to pick up her food! he wouldn’t give me the food! Instead he gave a attitude proceeded to get out of the car walk past me & give my fiancé the food when she clearly stated she wanted me to pick up the food She told him you could have gave him the food! That’s when he stated “ don’t matter either one “ I was a new app customer now I will be sticking to Uber eats Least there drivers have respect for people gave a great tip as well Like I stated! App is good, it has those little restaurants that big food apps don’t have but where you are from just watch out for the drivers ### 3/5 — More consistent *2020-06-24, version 3.19.42* Restaurants use GotChew over DoorDash because it’s cheaper for the businesses. However the app not always working. I think you need to find more drivers and have the app work more consistently. ### 3/5 — Good but annoying things need a fix *2019-12-29, version 3.19.40* I use this app at least once a week. For the most part it does the job. But it needs some repairs to be less frustrating. - ability to save your address or frequently used addresses. The gps locator is usually off an address. - ability to make a payment default so I don’t have to choose the same card every time - less sensitivity to scroll screens. I start scrolling down through restaurants and I end up opening ones I didn’t intend to. Most of the screens that require scroll are too sensitive and interpret any touch as a “click”. This above all makes me want to throw my phone. - the ability to pin or favorite restaurants. I order from the same three places and I have to find them every time. - ability to save an order(s) from a restaurant - ability to see history of what I ordered previously. This should have a button that allows me to reorder from the history with one click. Restaurants that have ever changing menus would need a warning that some items may not be available. - dark/night mode - make back buttons more obvious. There are times I’m selecting food items and I click on one by accident and there’s no way back unless you complete that page. Then I have to get rid of it before checkout. - since you have the data, why not have a section under each Restaurants that shows most ordered or popular by your customers. - ability to save delivery instructions for each address. No reason for me to add this over and over again for the same address - ability to save special instructions on foods ordered like allergy info or other special info. Maybe a choice of selections of what you’ve put previously in that space. -ability to filter by types of places. I want to see all the places that have pizza or sushi or.... Right now it’s by location or price. When I want to order a meal I don’t want to see a convenience store. - maybe just for kicks, a random button after you choose type of place. Example: give me a random pizza joint or the like. Spinning roulette wheel graphic would be fun. This is purely an extra Fix this stuff and your app goes from good to excellent. ### 3/5 — GPS tracking/My Orders *2019-11-09, version 3.19.40* Rating the app itself 3 stars but the delivery service is always 5 stars. I just wish the app had a gps tracking system so I can see exactly where my food is or when the driver is picking up/arriving. I know you guys send out notifications but visually being able to tell how soon your food will arrive is much more user friendly than waiting for the notifications and guessing how long it will be until your food arrives. DoorDash and UberEats both have similar tracking systems and those features are awesome. I prefer to order my food from GotChew anyway. You guys have more reasonable delivery prices, better customer service and I would rather help support a local business and just figured that adding some sort of tracking feature would help you guys stay competitive with the larger food delivery services. Also if you could fix the issue with the my orders section. It really doesn’t update and never shows any of my current or past orders. I know it says to sign out and back in but sometimes you must do this multiple times to get the orders to appear and sometimes they never do no matter how many times you try. It was a key service during the quarantine and continues to serve our family. I have given several gift certificates to family members and that process is really easy, both purchasing them and for the end user. The variety of restaurants is very good, some of the area’s finest, and we have had only one or two small issues in the years we have been using them which have been easily resolved every time. I also like that it’s a local company started by young entrepreneurs.
