Usually works well. When it does not work though there's no fixing it and support is next to useless. And it hangs very often during games to the point that I need to reboot the app. Should be wayyyy easier to do this. Worst App EVER. *2026-07-26, version 10.14.0* Why is this app not letting me access the YES network for Yankees games? Only the MSG network works? My cable plan (Verizon FIOS) includes the Yes Network, yet this app is now blocking me with a $209 pay wall. A month ago, I had no such problem. This app is always causing problems for paying customers, and now I can’t even access Yankees games. Worst app EVER. ### 1/5 — Volume increases on commercials *2026-07-23, version 10.14.0* Whenever commercials come on, the volume jumps a noticeable amount - where it’s a problem when I’m watching Yankees late at night and baby is asleep in other room. Then I turn it down and when game comes back on, you can barely hear again. We use this app on our smart TV with Roku stick and now have had to personally call Gotham a few times because of out of area message, when we never left the area! So they have to reset it for me by having me go online and telling them IP address then have to sign in and out of app several times and even delete app and re-install just to get it to work again! Now they tell me to sign in and out before 30 days so it doesn’t happen again! So frustrating! Everything moves slow. Overpriced for a subscription. There is nothing good to say ### 2/5 — Awful App *2026-07-07, version 10.13.1* Quite possibly one of the worst functioning apps, takes forever to load, click a live game it will take you to the pregame broadcast show, you have to navigate the app to find the live showing, it crashes all the time… $20+ a month to watch a game that should be televised in my area and it’s barely functional. ### 1/5 — Worst streaming app *2026-07-07, version 10.13.1* It is so sad that the Gotham sports app is the only way to watch the Yankees if you don’t have cable and it is this glitchy. It is worst on my Samsung tv, where I actually want to watch the games. Among the other issues, even silly settings make no sense like it automatically starts the game from the beginning. Why would you think I’m most likely to want to watch a game from the beginning instead of live? Unfortunately, there is no need for proper investment since media rights are a monopoly. I love the idea of having all New York sports knitted together in one place, but it is executed so, so poorly. I can stream 4K on YouTube tv, but on the same set of devices and internet the app struggles a choppy feed. You throw in the fact that this PAID SERVICE FLASHES AN ADVERTISEMENT BEFORE IT STARTS STREAMING, and I think this might be the largest case of buyer’s remorse I’ve experienced in a long time. I’m shocked at how highly rated this app is in the store and can only imagine they have paid/inflated/used bots or something to raise the rating bc nobody I know, myself included, believes this is anything but a failed product. Please just get Fubo or cable and don’t waste your money on this. ### 1/5 — Necessary evil *2026-07-03, version 10.13.1* Have to use this app to watch the Yankees but it’s awful, like many other reviews say. Cuts out all the time and I have log in several times per game, freezes a bunch (it’s not my WiFi, everything else works fine), I get the “snow” screen. And there’s such a delay - I see a notification on my phone that someone scores and then a minute later the score happens.
