## What is GoTime?

GoTime turns everyday promises into shared countdowns with people you know.

Send a friend a task and a deadline, then stay connected while the clock runs. The recipient can accept, complete, decline, or ask for more time. Both friends can send nudges, encouragement, reactions, and status updates.

YOUR COUNTDOWN. THEIR ALARM.
Alarm Mode can turn an accepted countdown into a system alarm on the recipient's iPhone. The recipient stays in control: they must enable Alarm Mode and choose which friends may send alarms. Alarm availability and behavior depend on iOS permissions, Focus state when scheduling occurs, and system settings.

BUILT FOR TWO
• Find friends by username or nickname
• Send customizable social countdowns
• Follow active timers on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
• Build streaks, earn XP, and unlock personal and friendship badges
• Compare pair statistics and friendly leaderboard progress

SAFETY AND PRIVACY
Friendship is mutual. You can remove, block, or report users, control alarm permissions per friend, export your data, and permanently delete your account in the app. Optional product-usage sharing is off by default and never includes message text or cross-app activity.

GoTime is free, with no ads or in-app purchases. Requires iOS 26.2 or later.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.17 — 2026-08-18

Maintenance release. Sign-in, phone-number handling, image loading, and crash diagnostics have all been updated to their latest versions, so the app is a little steadier under the hood. No changes to how anything works.

### 1.0.16 — 2026-08-10

A finished countdown now reads as a conversation: your updates on the right, your friend's on the left. When an alarm is set, the countdown ring is dressed as an alarm clock. Asking a friend for alarm permission now shows when you can ask again instead of failing, and the app opens a little faster.

### 1.0.15 — 2026-08-06

Holding a reaction sends a stream of them again, instead of only one per tap. Internal cleanup: the alarm-permission request now goes through the generated API client and notification routing uses the shared push-type definition.

### 1.0.14 — 2026-08-04

Asking a friend to allow your alarms now works end to end: send the request, and tapping the notification opens their alarm settings. Alarm availability is reported correctly, so the switch is only offered when the alarm will actually go through. Error messages are clearer and fully translated. The send button is now a slide gesture with refined motion and haptics.

### 1.0.13 — 2026-08-02

Countdowns now stay in sync through extensions, cancellations, relaunches, and notification updates. Refined send and receive screens add clearer spacing, stronger accessibility, and thoughtful haptics. Alarm scheduling, Live Activities, event history, and device registration are more reliable.
