I had a card to use and no, meter wouldn’t take it. Have to use the app. Is the app easy? No. Every little error I made or pin I didn’t know, I had to start over. What should’ve been a ten second moment was a joke that made me give up and drive away. Joke of a situation where THE APP SHOULDN’T EVEN BE NEEDED. ### 1/5 — Fees? *2025-08-14* So many parking meters downtown are nonfunctional. So I decided to download this app to pay by another means just to ensure I didn’t get a ticket. And I discover the app charges additional fees? If this is the only working option why am I being charged fees? Do better, City of Tucson! ### 1/5 — Ignore the space I typed in *2025-08-10* Parked in spot 904. Tapped the 9 but the rest of the number didn’t show up. So I typed it in. It looked like it worked but nope. I got a ticket because I paid for spot 9 while parking in 904. It now cheats us with a 30 cent “convenience” fee! Convenient for who when your meter is broken??? That a 15% surcharge on a 2-hour session! There is no excuse for this. No other city I’ve been to that uses parking apps rip their residents off like this. Original review: The app works great and is easy to use. But I don’t use it because it charges a 25 cent “convenience fee” every time you park. so I pump quarters into the meters because it “convenience fee” adds up quickly. Quarters and nickels and dimes which I have plenty of and am happy to get rid of, but they have to pay someone to go around and collect them, count them, and deposit them. It doesn’t make any sense! It’s why every other city I’ve been to that uses apps like this don’t do this. But what do you do when you pull up to a meter and find out it’s not working? You’re supposed to use the app I suppose. Which rewards them for having a BROKEN METER by forcing me to pay the “convenience fee” for the privilege of parking at a VERY INCONVENIENTLY broken meter. And, of course, the app has no provision for reporting the said broken meter. Come on Tucson! Get with it. App needs to receive an activation sms which can only be sent to a us mobile number („The country list failed to losd“). How are you supposed to park now in downtown Tucson? ### 1/5 — Wish it would work- says zone doesn’t exist *2023-01-25, version 2.3.0* I’ve reinstalled this app a number of times over a few days- it keeps telling me that the zone ( in the heart of downtown) 5201 “does not exist” … ok, fine but that’s what is posted on all of the meters in the area, AND when I call park Tucson they say it’s not a problem on their phones, so it’s really my problem. (aka leave us alone lady) Fine. Then tell me WHAT ZONE CODE TO USE to pay the parking fees! No place on the app where you can look up the codes ( only if there’s a space available but it’s not specific to a requested area.) the App could really use a way to search a map for codes. At this point, we’re having to give out coins to customers who are having this problem…. Not good. I’d walk to Park Tucson offices to talk to someone but am temporarily disabled ( hence the on street parking) ### 1/5 — Paid for 7 minutes parking and had to pay again *2022-12-18, version 2.3.0* 520102 50 w. Franklin street parking lot sign clearly says 5 pm to 6 am. I got there at 5:53 pm and used the app and it charged me 3$ for only 7 minutes and then I had to do a new session and pay again to get it to go till 6 am. But at least for the last year and a half, when I enter the zone and space number, the app says “space unavailable“. So the messaging on the signage at the parking spaces conflicts with what’s happening on the app. ### 1/5 — Caused me more stress *2022-09-05* I thought this app would be a lifesaver because I didn’t have any coins for parking meter. The description for the app states that this app takes the stress out of parking. I did not find that to be the case at all. I tried several empty spots in a downtown parking lot (by the museum of art) and kept getting a message that the spot was unavailable. Each spot was very available because I had my car parked in them. Why offer a “convenient’ system if it’s not helpful at all. And apparently I can contact someone for assistance. In Tucson on a Sunday? If you do in fact want to increase business downtown didn’t actually make it easy to do so. ### 1/5 — “Network error: please try again” *2022-05-06* I’ve been getting this error for weeks and it seems they have no intention of fixing it. The App Store says it’s compatible with my phone but when I download it and enter my phone number there is no verify button. ### 1/5 — No Apple or Google Pay *2026-01-02* What is the point of making someone dig out a credit card and manually type it into your app instead of just using ApplePay or Google Pay that is built right into the smartphone you are holding? Huge pain in the neck that is not necessary. TO make it worse, this app is simply a re-skin of the Passport parking app which DOES accept those payment types, the City simply decided not to enable that and instead forces you to stand in the rain or heat digging out your credit card. It would be fine if I lived here and used this app all the time, but I am simply visiting so now I also have my credit card stored in another system that can be hacked and stolen. Ridiculous. Stop making life difficult for people and turn on Apple Pay! ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-11-01* I attempted to use the app, entered all the info and received a ticket anyway. Not worth missing work to go before a judge.
