## What is Gourami?

Gourami is a clean, easy journal for your aquariums. Freshwater, brackish or marine, keep everything about each tank in one place.

• OVERVIEW – see all your tanks at a glance, with a photo, size and how long they have been running, plus a quick summary of inhabitants, last reading and next maintenance.
• PARAMETERS – log temperature, pH, KH, GH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, conductivity and more, plus salinity, calcium and magnesium for marine tanks. See each value against its ideal range, which you can adjust for every tank, follow the trends over 7 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year, and share a reading as a card.
• MAINTENANCE – schedule water changes, water tests, filter and glass cleaning and water treatments, one-off or recurring, with a full history.
• FEEDING – plan what to feed and when, and keep track of every meal.
• TO DO & CALENDAR – one list with everything due today and in the coming days, filterable by maintenance or feeding, with a calendar view.
• LIGHTING – log your photoperiod (on, off, hours per day) and see how it has changed over the last year.
• CALCULATORS – net tank volume and substrate, water mixing to reach a KH or GH target, remineralizing RO water, and a CO₂ estimate from pH and KH.
• JOURNAL – write notes and add photos to remember how your tank evolves.
• INVENTORY – keep your fish, plants, treatment products, food and equipment in one list, with prices in the currency you paid, and get a warning when supplies are running low.
• YOUR DATA – sync between iPhone and iPad with iCloud, back up and restore from a file, and choose litres or gallons, °C or °F. In English, Italian and German.
• iPHONE & iPAD – designed for both.

Try every feature free for 14 days. After that, a one-time purchase unlocks Gourami Pro forever, with no subscription. If you don't unlock it, your data stays readable.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-04

What's new in 1.0.2

NEW
• Dates you don't remember: for a tank's start, equipment installation and purchase, when fish and plants were added, and expenses, you can now choose "Exact date", "Month and year", "Year only" or "I don't remember". You no longer need the exact day to add a tank that is already running.
• "Same as the tank's start": one tap to use the tank's start date for equipment. The purchase never ends up after the installation.
• Credits & Licenses in Settings.

IMPROVED
• The "Running for…" line follows what you remember: "Started in March 2021", "Started in 2021", or it disappears with "I don't remember".
• Smoother animations on iPhones with a ProMotion display.
• The new logo typeface in Settings and on the unlock screen.
• Backups keep the date precision, and backups from earlier versions restore as before, with every date exact.

FIXED
• On screens that don't have data yet, the message in Maintenance, Feeding and Usage History appeared as a narrow, unreadable column, and the one in Lighting was out of place. They are now centered and readable, even with large text.
• On iPad in landscape, Recent Activity showed only its title and filter: you can now read the entries, and the list scrolls.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-03

What's new in 1.0.1

IMPROVED
• Statistics redesigned with an animated period picker and parameter chips.
• Forms and detail screens rebuilt in the same style.
• Tapping a numeric row now focuses its field.
• Disabled buttons now look disabled, and delete actions share the same color everywhere.

FIXED
• After restoring a backup, duplicate catalog items and tanks could appear.
• Restoring or erasing data no longer crashes when duplicate identifiers are present.
• The unit picker in treatment and feeding forms could not be opened.
• Detail screens (livestock, plants, notes, equipment) and the reminder form now delete after the screen has closed.
• "Usage history" is reachable in read-only mode.
