The GOVA Pass application allows GOVA passengers the opportunity to use their credit card to purchase transit fare rides and passes through the app. Purchases can be made anywhere, anytime at the passengers convenience. When the passenger boards the bus, they activate the ride or pass and validate the QR barcode under the onboard validator. In case of an error, they can also show the dynamic QR barcode with moving logo and timer to the driver. The app also offers a trip planning tool for convenience. It also needs to allow for saving payment info because if ever I’m already running late and need to buy a pass being able to purchase without having to pull out my card and fill it all out would be useful. ### 5/5 — Works well *2026-05-21* Love it! ### 3/5 — Tap feature needed *2026-05-20* Tap to pay feature is most needed in addition to scan QR code. First it takes you out of the app to a website and then from the website to Google Maps app. This is some of the worst UX I’ve seen in a while. ### 2/5 — Not great *2026-04-13* It’s pretty frustrating being logged out of the app constantly. It randomly just logs you out and you don’t notice until you’re about to board. Also I wish the app worked like the MyBus site, so you can look and see the tracker and exactly where the bus is.
