### 5/5 — So convenient!

*2016-12-05*

So many of my concerns went unreported because I didn't have the time to call my local municipal building. With GovAlert, I can report a concern and carry on with my day!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lots of bugs - awful app

*2025-09-13*

App is slow and half the time reported concerns do not go through.

### 1/5 — The worse app

*2025-05-05*

This app is not only confusing- it gets stuck- unable to add info- adding photos is difficult- worthless to get the concerns to my city !

### 1/5 — Wrong location

*2023-07-08*

The app doesn’t report the location correctly.

### 1/5 — Back navigation STILL not repaired

*2022-07-07, version 2.1.7*

Back navigation still not working on this app!
Makes it unusable.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-09-22*

I tried to make a report but, as the other poster mentioned, it didn’t work. Seemed to lock in transmitting mode.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all

*2018-05-13*

I tried using the app, but it doesn’t seem to actually do anything. All it does is show a map with a pushpin and when you try to click on Report a Concern, it just spins and spins and nothing happens.

### 2/5 — Freezing when uploading 3 pictures

*2024-08-15*

I tried uploading 3 picture in my report a concern. Only one got uploaded and then it kept spinning. I tried uploading 2 pictures and it froze again. It did take all 3 reports with only one picture. But the only way to unfreeze the program was with the back button.

After trying 3 times I noticed I had 3 reports in the system, but I only received one email.

### 2/5 — Back button doesn’t function!

*2024-01-14*

When looking at “Concerns” the back button doesn’t always work, I’ve reported this in the past and it’s a little better but isn’t fixed.
Not sure why it can’t be fixed, maybe laziness by the software writers! It’s an inconvenience having to close the app and then rep-open.

### 3/5 — Maybe add editing ability?

*2024-03-12*

It would be nice if there was a way to edit a submission after submitting it, like to correct something or to add more photos.

### 3/5 — Location issue and photo limit

*2021-03-03*

Unfortunately, the app does not seem to allow manual updating of the location. It placed me at the wrong location and I over typed with the correct location but it ignored what I typed and put in a different location. This maybe fine in a city with dense cellular coverage but not in suburban or rural areas. It also only allows a single picture to be uploaded.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Makes complaints so much easier

*2022-06-24*

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2022-06-24*

Very easy and simple, it’s been a long time using this app and it never failed me.

### 5/5 — Convenient Reporting!

*2022-06-24*

Use of this app had made reporting code concerns easy as possible. I can mark the location and keep track of the progress with ease. No need to call my town office and wait on hold all day…

### 5/5 — Very useful App

*2022-06-24*

Very easy to report complaints to my local municipality.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-08-19*

Makes reporting problems around town so much easier to keep everyone safe!

### 5/5 — Simple Easy To Use

*2020-08-19*

Easy to use. Practical!

### 5/5 — Super fast

*2020-07-30*

Wow, super easy to report a concern. I really like how it took my to my location so I could quickly put in the concern with my contact details. Any communication with the city should be like this.

### 5/5 — Easy and Effective

*2020-05-13*

A street sign fell over on my property after a week of rain. Instead of calling the DPW office at my town and waiting on hold, I just fired up the GovAlert app, posted a pic of the downed sign and geotagged its location. It took less than a minute! A crew came the next day to fix the sign!

### 5/5 — Avoid being put on hold!

*2016-12-06*

Anytime I've had to report a concern in my town, I've had to call, be put on hold multiple times, be connected to another person (who I have to re-tell my concern to) and it seemed like nobody knew who I needed to talk to...very frustrating.
GovAlert makes it SO easy to report a concern to the correct person without looking up phone numbers and being put on hold! Thanks- great app!
