## What is GPS M?

GPS M collects and displays location information on iPhones, iPads, iWatches and ActiveLook smart glasses. It also delivers Apple Maps directions to ActiveLook smart glasses.

The app provides the location information in your preferred units for speed, course and altitude. Additionally, the phone app collects and calculates derivate information such as distance travelled, maximum and average speeds, highest and lowest altitudes and ascent and descent.

The smart glasses also display Apple Maps route directions: first set destination with iPhone's Maps app by tapping map or by entering the address, then follow the direction arrows and distance information on the smart glasses.

The location data can be saved to a GPX trace: you can follow your current position, active trace or stored traces on the map.

The watch app can be also used to remotely control the phone app: start or stop the trace, reset or pause both devices.

Support for ActiveLook smart glasses.

Viewing directions: arrow indicating the direction of the next turn, distance to the next turn and  distance to the destination. First set the destination in iPhone's Apple Maps, then follow these with ActiveLook smart glasses when walking, running or biking. The directions require either having English as the iPhone's primary language or configuring your language's navigation phrases. See the User's Guide for details!

Watch connection optimization: data sent to watch is not buffered and send only when the watch app is reachable. Once the watch app has been found, sending data is attempted once per second.

Watch synchronisation to compass only when watch is active.

Corrections: negative minimum and maximum altitudes are now shown. GPX logs are checked for having at least one track point before presenting.
Usability:
- MapView track points are coloured based on speed or altitude 
- the ‘background location indicator’ is when on the phone screen when the app is running while the location updates are not paused.
- ascent and descent  values are included in the Map View summary.
- reset command in both phone and watch for clearing distance, duration, ascent, descent and  and max, min and average values
- phone Data View controls are grouped to Information, Control, Track and Close.
