### 4/5 — Very useful export feature for waypoint collection

*2013-05-04*

I love this app. Makes it a breeze to collect, name, & export waypoints

### 4/5 — Good app

*2012-10-31, version 1.2*

Great for marking locations.

Things I would like to see..
IAd moved so it doesn't stop users clicking in the last added waypoint.
Ability to sort waypoints by name.
A count of waypoints added (instead of having to go to the email page each time)
Sync with Dropbox/Google Docs/Evernote
Ability to save set waypoints and restore them later (or form saved file)

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2012-02-13, version 1.2*

Very handy app but would be handy if we could manually add waypoints

### 4/5 — G. P. S.

*2011-10-18*

Awesome app easy set up and use. Thanks for this one!!

### 4/5 — Nice tool

*2011-09-24*

Simple to use waypoint tool. Would like to see ability to add a note to each waypoint.

### 5/5 — Great Navigation App

*2011-06-26*

Very fast....easy to use. Would like to see all the enhancements suggested. I would pay for this app when it gets better.

### 4/5 — Very good for a free app

*2011-03-13, version 1.1*

Clear, easy to use.

Good aesthetics and getting waypoints out is a breeze. Accuracy is good considering my iPad is wifi only (they explain all about this on the website, the other reviewers should have read their site first!)

The iPhone version they do is more practical and more accurate when you're out and about but the iPad version looks prettier! :-)

### 4/5 — Fast Working GPS

*2010-12-08*

It works and it is fast. Last year the gps
programs on
my iTouch gave my present position in Antofagasta,Chile
as some town in Austria. I am glad to say this app hits
the nail on the head:Antofagasta,Chile with Lat = -23.67
and Long = - 70.41
And it is fast, I got my location in the blink of an eye.

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2010-11-03, version 0*

Simple and effective display of where you are - shows position on a street map and you can zoom in and out.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not everyone wants to use iCloud

*2016-08-21, version 5.0*

Making the latest upgrade dependent on using iCloud makes this app useless for those of us that do not want any link to a Cloud and want to use waypoints. Why the developer did not make using iCloud an option rather than mandatory is beyond me. The latest upgrade has crippled my use of the app - I do not want to be connected to any type of cloud .... The previous version worked ok for me ... The new one goes in the rubbish

### 1/5 — Horrible.

*2014-09-28*

Keyboard won't move when trying to enter custom waypoint. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2013-03-15*

I have just updated to the "pro" version and the last update. It quite before before be opened.
It is certainly a "bug" or with the "pro"version"or with the last update. I hope it will be fixed soon, otherwise I will waisted my money.

### 2/5 — will cox

*2011-01-03, version 1.1*

Not very accurate, about 100 yds out!

### 3/5 — Nice app...

*2015-05-19*

Very useful app for GPS.
PetoSoft logo is quite intrusive on the map on the paid version. This should be removed and remain only on the free version.

### 3/5 — Gps

*2011-04-28*

An ok app for tracking way points. Would be better if you could name them and get directions from one to another or even a movement icon.

### 3/5 — Pretty Cool

*2011-01-16*

Should be able to drop pins and find waypoints for others and you don't have to necessarily be in that current position. Also, you should be able name your waypoints.

### 3/5 — Needs Imperial Units

*2010-11-17*

I really wouldn't mind this little program if it had different settings for units. Raised in the US I am used to feet not meters, and also the different location settings like I prefer degrees-minutes-seconds.

Then I could mark my waypoints and game them.

This program also needs many more options like the ability to calculate distances from waypoint A to B, est. time of arrival, current speed, and more. Then it would be awesome.

### 4/5 — Good clock

*2013-10-27, version 3.4*

Searched for a good time piece to download and I have not been disappointed

### 4/5 — GPS

*2013-08-27*

This is a kool app, and seems to work well.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2018-06-04*

I have compared this with my little Garmin eTrex, downloading the files to Google Earth and Arcview (the Arcview takes a little manipulation in both cases). When there is no cell-phone signal to the iPad, this app still matches the aerial photos better than the Garmin. When there is a cell phone signal, it matches much better. I have not checked elevations. This app is easy to use and it is easy to export the data. Happy camper.

Update 2018: Now I feed a better-quality GPS fix to the iToy from a Bad Elf Pro +. It is really easy to generate sample points in GIS, push the to the app from DropBox, and navigate to them in the field. And even easier to record waypoints in the field then send them back to GIS.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2017-03-25, version 5.0.2*

Really good app, it works perfectly, it's accurate, doesn't need internet connection to work and it is very useful.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2016-09-23*

I was looking for an easy way to mark waypoints using my Garmin Glo gps and send them to my office computer. This is by far the best one I have tried. The app developer is also super helpful. He emailed me back within 24 hours and my issue was resolved within minutes. Thanks Carl!

### 5/5 — Excellent waypoint capture

*2013-12-06*

This app is outstanding at capturing waypoints and sending to a GIS app. It's simple and quick. Its fast because if a one-click operation that doesn't require naming of waypoints but provides oppt to name after saving if you really need. The pro version supports multiple lists a feature missing in other apps. The developer is responsive to design improvements. Am hoping the simplicity that makes the app so productive is maintained.

### 5/5 — FIRST CLASS

*2013-11-11*

This APP has both:
1) It works &
2) Excellent TECH support.

### 5/5 — GPS

*2013-08-10*

If only the Apple iPad 2 mini would come with a built in GPS receiver, that would make my century! As for the app, it is very cool.

### 5/5 — Great new update

*2013-03-14*

I'm hoping everyone, like me, goes back to update their ratings of this app developer. He has been amazingly responsive to user feedback. And now the upgrade to the new pro interface is a huge leap. The ability to create multiple sets of waypoints? Ability to export to several file formats for GPS importation? Way better than the 2 star updates out there. There were a couple bumps along the way in the Fall, but you must remember that his was a "free app" as well. Now the paid pro feature makes it all worthwhile.

### 5/5 — Cassinia

*2012-11-28, version 2.0*

This is a fantastic App that I use all the time. A truly valuable recording tool that enables me to send field information back to the office for processing before I even get there.

My only frustration is that since Google maps can no longer be used this limits my uses. One can only hope that Apple gets its act together!

Highly recommended, I look forward to the pro edition.

### 5/5 — Cool program with a nice simple design

*2011-10-03*

I really like this program. It is clean and simple and does what it is supposed to. The author is also really helpful and responsive and I can see great potential in this program. If it had offline maps it would be awesome.

### 5/5 — Very responsive developer.

*2011-09-20*

The app as it now stands is a strong 3 stars. I gave 5 because the developer has been nothing but helpful, prompt, and responsive in helping me resolve my small issue.

Give us a unit preference, a better icon, a speed display, perhaps the ability to string waypoints together in the kml, and this app is a standalone 5 stars. Well done!
