### 2/5 — New update is horrible

*2024-09-01, version 6.3*

Can’t view in full screen without seeing the status bar at the top, very distracting. Also if I’m reading an older magazine and exit it automatically takes me back to the very top of the feed instead of where I was, so then I have to scroll all the way back down. These problems didn’t exist before the most recent update and need to be addressed.

### 3/5 — Difficult to link accounts

*2024-02-25, version 6.2*

Bought a subscription but the instructions to link the purchase do not work. Eventually figured it out but the instructions they send you are outdated

### 1/5 — Can’t download latest issue

*2023-02-15, version 6.2*

What have you done with this app, I can’t download February issue, becauser it says my account can’t be verified HELPPPPPPPP

### 1/5 — App is broken

*2023-02-14, version 6.2*

Having same problem as others. Can’t access my previous purchases from Apple, and get error message when try to sign in. An update is needed asap to fix this.

### 1/5 — Good Quick Ripoff

*2023-02-12, version 6.2*

I updated the ap and now it says my subscription can not be verified. I can’t access any of my previous purchases or the new ones. I am subscribed until July 2023. I’ve tried to contact GQ again…crickets! Apple needs to ensure rip off artist like this don’t use their platform. And one more thing, #*#@ you GQ and Condé Nast Digital because you have clearly #*$@%^ me!

### 1/5 — Cannot login to my account

*2023-02-08, version 6.2*

If i could give this stupid stupid GQ app negative stars i absolutely would. Unable to open any of the magazine's content despite being able to be able to log into my account via some popup bubble that appears as an overlay to the app itself. The app designers need to be taken behind a shed and beaten for how terrible this useless thing is.

### 4/5 — Can’t login for days

*2023-02-04, version 6.2*

Getting run around between Apple & GQ on how to get into my Account- and access my yearly subscription that I have been paying from for years. DO NOT DOWNLOAD- NIGHTMARE & POOR/INDIFFERENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

### 1/5 — App needs work

*2022-10-20, version 5.6*

I like GQ but this app is junk

### 1/5 — So sad.

*2022-09-07, version 5.6*

I was so excited to subscribe to a magazine that I have been reading since I was 15 years old. I decided to go for the online magazine. I am able to view the magazine on my cell but it is not letting me creat an account. So I can log in on my other devices I am very sad I really wanted to read GQ on my iPad as well but I guess I will have to just be grateful that I can read it on my iPhone ugh!

### 1/5 — Very slow antiquated app.

*2022-08-19, version 5.6*

Very slow antiquated app. Needs more processing power and streamlining. This app should be much easier and pleasant to use. It’s undercooked.

### 1/5 — App is terrible

*2022-08-17, version 5.6*

Didn’t get my print edition in the mail and trying to read on the app. Keeps freezing and crashing, extremely buggy. Hank

### 1/5 — App freezes and crashes constantly

*2022-08-12, version 5.6*

Can’t get through more than a few pages before the app freezes and or crashes.

### 1/5 — FIX THE BUGS

*2022-08-10, version 5.6*

I CANNOT GET THROUGH AN ISSUE THAT I PAID FOR BECAUSE THE APP FORCE CLOSES.

### 1/5 — App does not work Aug 2022

*2022-08-08, version 5.6*

Never had any issues, other having to refresh my subscription with every issue. This month in 2022 for some reason the app will not load the issue on any of my devices. I can’t be the only one. subscription payment of course goes through with no issues….What’s going on GQ?

### 1/5 — App freezes on every page

*2022-07-22, version 5.6*

Impossible to use the app. Freezes on every page. Tried all the troubleshooting tips and no difference. Really disappointing.

### 1/5 — GQ has lost its way.

*2022-03-09, version 5.6*

I’ve been a subscriber to GQ since I was 13 years old, it’s now thirty years later. I literally can’t stand the magazine anymore. It has lost its way. It is possessed with street style that looks good on Instagram instead of what looks good in real life. It has become beyond “woke”. Every month I download the latest issue, scroll through it looking for something interesting to read. Every month I am disappointed. Everything began to change when they got rid of the now late Glen O’Brien. Then when clickbait filled Buzzfeed wrote a negative review of GQ because GQ wasn’t woke enough, GQ took notice. I thought GQ would laugh it off. After all Buzzfeed is just a muckwrecker, the birthplace of cancel culture. Well, here we are now. With GQ now bowing down to those who don’t even read GQ to begin with. GQ is just out of touch.

### 1/5 — Disappointed very

*2022-02-15, version 5.6*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great magazine, terrible app design

*2026-07-10, version 6.5*

My mom could vibe code a better app than this, and she’s 70 years old. The days of just simply uploading the print version of your magazine and calling it a mobile app are long gone. GQ needs to completely redesign this app and make it a multiple version of their website, optimized for the iPhone screen. If you wanna just upload the print version of your magazine for the iPad, that’s fine. That’s a non-starter for an iPhone app.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2026-06-08, version 6.5*

I keep getting signed out of my account, occasionally needing to redownload dozens and dozens of issues even though I am set to keep all downloaded issues on my iPad

### 1/5 — Sad degradation

*2025-08-03*

GQ downshifted sooo hard. So sad to see what’s going on with the magazine comparing to the early 2010s

### 1/5 — It’s Empty

*2025-06-25, version 6.3*

Downloaded the app for the first time in years. What happened to it? It’s useless and there’s nothing on it anymore

### 1/5 — Doesn’t link to my subscription

*2025-02-22, version 6.3*

Even when signed in and linked to my subscription I am limited to only 10 pages.
Submitting feedback and/or requesting support requires a submitting a form with an entire personal bio, address, phone number . You already have that information, and I am logged into the account.

Please update the app to allow paying subscribers to access the product we are paying for.

### 1/5 — Wiped out 13 years of issues

*2024-08-31*

Why do the app developers at GQ/Conde Nast insist on deleting all my downloads every few years? Absolutely not renewing this adolescent garbage

### 1/5 — Worst App and subscription service ever

*2024-06-20, version 6.2*

So, I purchased a digital subscription only in November 2023 and since then i have not been able to access the digital version of this magazine.

I didn’t use the Appstore for my purchase only to download the app. Per instructions if you already have a subscription just use your login information but it keeps telling me subscription not found.

Yet, since 11/01/2023 i continue to get the print version of this magazine. I was then directed to delete the app and redownload it to no avail. Then i was instructed to use the information from the magazine mailing label to link the subscription and all i get is a spinning re-capha. And it goes nowhere or if i start over it tells me that my information is already linked to a digital version of the magazine. Enter your email and password from that subscription to link the account I do and the same information bounces back and tells me to do this all over again.

I sent an email to customer service with images showing my paid subscription, my magazine label and a copy of my credit card transaction. All i get is the same plain instructions to follow that do not work.

I attempted to reach out to their facebook page and provided the same information and screen shots of everything and get nothing but the same stupid run around. When i signed up for this subscription I specifically selected the digital version only because i wanted to have magazine with me no matter where i was. Instead they continue to send me the printed version. I will NOT BE RENEWING MY SUBSCRIPTION ONCE IT ENDS. Not worth the trouble, seems like the magazine prefers to cheap out on quality its not the same G.Q. Mag, it used to be.

### 1/5 — Can't Link Subscription

*2024-05-14, version 6.2*

I can't link my subscription to the app despite following instructions over ten times. I am not able to view digital magazines

### 1/5 — Dessus

*2023-11-26*

Bonjour, je suis déçu par votre application depuis que je suis abonné ça fait un an et votre application est toujours la même. Elle n’a pas évolué. On se retrouve toujours avec la même présentation je trouve ça abusif et c’est du vol car j’ai payé

### 1/5 — Sign-in broken

*2023-02-18, version 6.2*

As noted by others, sign-in is broken. When logging in I get a “server timeout” message… immediately after submitting credentials.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — We made it work in Nigeria

*2026-04-11, version 6.5*

I’m not a columnist but as a long term reader of this magazine, I can tell that the content will benefit every discipline that speaks the language. 👍

### 5/5 — Can’t Sign In

*2023-01-02, version 5.6*

I have an account that I pay for but I can’t sign in. Support was not helpful.

### 5/5 — Great

*2022-12-11, version 5.6*

Sarcastic

### 5/5 — Great customer service

*2021-12-02, version 5.6*

While I like GQ I had to cancel after a year because I just don’t have the money for it anymore. When talking with customer service to get it solved it was very easy and they were very helpful.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-08-16, version 5.6*

Just fantastic

### 5/5 — Loving GQ magazine

*2021-07-06, version 5.6*

This is the first time reading GQ. I am loving the app as well as magazine. Keep up the good work!!

### 5/5 — Love it.

*2020-10-22, version 5.6*

Do not have to worry about carrying my physical copy (I love the physical copy) with me everywhere. This makes it easy to carry issues with me.

### 5/5 — A staple of manhood.

*2020-10-01, version 5.6*

My mother got me a subscription to GQ when I was a young teen as I didn’t have a father living with me and she felt it would be a good guide to manhood. I sadly can’t see what I’m typing, it’s white letters on a white background, but I am suggesting that any man of any age will benefit from GQ.

### 5/5 — The month subscription cost $7 not $1.99

*2020-09-06, version 5.6*

False advertising illegal.

### 5/5 — Best magazine ever thought of!

*2020-08-19, version 5.6*

I can’t get enough of the GQ MAGAZINE! Every cover gets better and better each month! (:
Def going to renew my subscription next year!
