### 1/5 — Completely unreliable

*2025-07-03, version 2.2.1*

Very disappointing app. Costo might want to consider another vendor if they don’t fix their app problems. I’m in a wheelchair and really need the motorized shades to work.

### 1/5 — Poor app quality

*2025-06-08, version 2.2.1*

App often fails to load and must be closed/opened multiple times to connect. Also, often does not show the battery level and some buttons are missing and reappear later. Still can’t add one of my shades.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2025-06-06, version 2.2.1*

I had my routines all set up and they were working like a breeze. Then the last update came along. Now I can’t get one of my routines to work. And no notification what it fixed, other than a bug?

### 1/5 — New App is Junk

*2025-05-21*

When I first bought my Graber motorized blinds four years ago, I was very happy with them. The blinds worked well, the included remote worked fine, all was great. Then they rolled out an application for Graber utilizing a Hub. I thought cool, let’s go. It’s been a nightmare. Many many hours of frustration, clearly terrible amateur software application programming, tech-support that you have to wait a long while to talk to, it’s really been a disappointment.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2025-05-16, version 2.2.1*

I had a good time reading the subject line of everybody else’s review. They arranged from terrible, terrible, terrible, too horrible, horrible, worst app.

I don’t need to elaborate. This is the worst app and I don’t know how they get away With it.

I bought Graber blinds about 10 years ago and another house and they were beautifully installed and gorgeous blinds

This time I bought Bali blinds, which uses the Graber App and it’s unbelievably bad. I can’t believe a company with great blinds can use such a horrible app and get away with it.

### 1/5 — Unreliable…. Wish I hadn’t bought this feature

*2025-04-19, version 2.2.1*

This is the worst app I have ever used. It’s unreliable, hardly ever connects, and when it does connect it takes forever. I didn’t mind paying extra for a luxury feature, but if I had known it would be like this I would not have spent a dime on it. Sooooo not worth the money. 100% would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Unstable

*2025-04-04, version 2.2.1*

Very unstable app and cheap product. I can only hope you read this before buying Graber blinds. Look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Read before buying Graber

*2025-04-03, version 2.2.1*

If you bought the blinds and are using the app, it’s as terrible as you think. Let the companies marketing the brand know your complaints until it’s fixed.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-03-30, version 2.2.1*

What a disappointment, this app initially worked then completely stopped. It can’t “find” my shares via Bluetooth as it did initially . Scam!

### 1/5 — Regrets

*2025-03-30, version 2.2.1*

I went through Costco for these shades and I wish I would have went with the tried and true hunter douglas brand. I have both in my home. This app is horrible and doesn’t work half the time. My motorized Hunter Douglas shades are smooth when operating where as the Graber are noisy and not.
Do not buy this brand and a call to costco this week to complain

### 1/5 — Terrible amateur app

*2025-03-15*

Does Costco - featuring this brand - know about this app..??
This is supposed to be top of the line shades brand, but the automation app is lousy, unreliable and buggy.
Tapping on the gateway only results in an “Updating…” spinner without ever displaying anything. The room assignments - of you manage to even get there after several app restarts - of shades get randomly lost, and shades with top and bottom stacks will only move in automated routines if called with at least one second delay - what N embarrassing bug!
No integration into Apple or Google Home apps.
That’s all pretty pathetic.

### 1/5 — Horrible useless app

*2025-03-12, version 2.2.1*

This is one of the worst app ever. Expensive window treatment paired with the worst app makes this whole windows treatment worthless. The app kept losing the data, configuration and routines. Don’t waste your money buying any more expensive windows treatment when they are too cheap to hire some quality software engineers to write reasonable code to control and update status. Battery level does not update in the app correctly. Blinds stopped working and battery still showed half. Charged for 5 hours, charger light turned green but app still showed 1/2. So whether the battery is full or empty, app always showed half. There is really zero improvement on the software. The much cheaper version of Chinese made blinds have 1000% better software and controls. Graber s/b ashamed of how much they charged for their products and provide not even mediocre support or update to the software.

### 1/5 — Nope.

*2025-03-06, version 2.2.1*

This app is absolute garbage and is so disappointing for an investment such as this. Upon install, the app was slow and less than 2 months after, it has stopped working entirely.

### 1/5 — Device failed to communicate

*2025-03-06, version 2.2.1*

Nothing but trouble
Thank goodness I programmed the handheld remote as the iPhone app stopped working. No tech support help online -no way to fix except to start over which I don’t want to do since the hand held remote finally works. We have really tall blinds so require a ladder to reset. No fun!

### 1/5 — Nice shades, poor app.

*2025-03-04, version 2.2.1*

My wife and I love the shades.
Everything about the app is tiresome and useless.

### 1/5 — Gave 1 star because that's as few as possible

*2025-02-16, version 2.2.1*

Just terrible. The worst piece of home automation I've used.

### 1/5 — Horrible customer support

*2025-01-22, version 2.2.1*

Decent product but Horrible customer support

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Most Difficult to Use

*2026-03-09*

Every time the time changes (daylight savings), I have to reset each schedule. In addition, making those changes almost always gives me an error, so I need to delete them and start all over again. However, sometimes that doesn’t work either. I’m not really sure what DOES work! It’s the most frustrating app I have. Please improve or replace it with something that does work!

### 1/5 — App needs a lot of work

*2026-03-08, version 2.3*

Performance is very slow and one of the core helpful features (battery levels) doesn’t work properly and will just stop showing the battery level even just days after a charge when I know the batteries are full. Pretty worthless. It seemed to work better before we got our gateway.

### 1/5 — Lousy SW and/or HW

*2026-03-03, version 2.3*

This app is constantly losing the configuration and the settings. Kept trying to find my shades in the account and got no shades or no routine found. Company that charged an arm and a leg for their product should be ashamed of how the application and their products not working together.

### 1/5 — Timers don’t work

*2026-02-21, version 2.3*

What a piece of junk

### 1/5 — Beware. Read the reviews

*2025-10-18, version 2.3*

All the negative reviews are true. This app is horrible. This blinds system don’t open/close when they need to, randomly does offline, constantly needing to reset the network, routines disappears randomly. Wish I saw these reviews first and regret wasting thousands are this horrible system.

### 1/5 — Irredeemable. Toss it and start over

*2025-10-03*

Must have been written by a disgruntled intern fresh out of chimpanzee typing class. Incompatible with Apple’s password management. Took several tries to recognize devices. Even the blinds installers couldn’t get it to work. I had to ask AI how to do it. And it still wouldn’t work with Alexa. After three hours of fighting with this disaster I had the installers remove the blinds and sent them back. Graber charges a premium price and I expect better.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Help pages don’t event link to anything

*2025-09-13, version 2.2.1*

Clearly no one works on this app as it does not work

### 1/5 — Beware. Read the reviews

*2025-08-23, version 2.2.1*

All the negative reviews are true. This app is horrible. This blinds system don’t open/close when they need to, randomly does offline, constantly needing to reset the network, routines disappears randomly. Wish I saw these reviews first and regret wasting thousands are this horrible system.

### 1/5 — Suddenly my demo shade doesn’t work

*2025-08-13, version 2.2.1*

I finally got the app to work on the demo shades for. I closed the app and when I reopened it, there was no recognizable power following the firmware update. Because of this poor app that I just learned never to use as a selling point THE HARD WAY, I am now in danger of getting fired

### 1/5 — Worst ever

*2025-07-09, version 2.2.1*

This app simply does not work. Completely worthless. Attn Costco: dump this product!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple and Easy

*2023-06-14, version 1.10*

Pretty simple and does what I need it to do.

### 4/5 — Great tech support

*2021-04-22*

The app worked for manual operation but routines wouldn’t work for automatic operation. I sent an email describing the situation on Friday, got a response on Monday, and the blinds were operating properly on Wednesday. The tech (Dan) was courteous, responsive, and very capable. The app itself gets three stars, the tech support gets five stars.

### 3/5 — Setup was easy but

*2024-04-20*

Easy setup process. Works great with the rooms functionality. Doesn't let me select a time in relation to sunset or sunrise with routines, though. It only let's me select a specific time. The other options are greyed out, even though I gave location access always. Very frustrating as sunset/sun rise is a very important time marker for shades being opened and closed. Would 100% be 5 stars if this was fixed.

### 3/5 — Better but needs work

*2023-12-13, version 2.1*

App got better with the last update but now it is very slow to open and load shades.

### 2/5 — Still bad

*2026-01-08, version 2.3*

[Re-tested Jan 2026, same issue]
All shades work fine in both home network and away from home, but only on demand – all automation routines have no effect (both ad-hoc play/test or timed). Tried it with newly created routines, none work.
Still no integration into Apple or Google Home apps, but maybe they should first try to get their own app under control.

### 2/5 — Disappointing App

*2025-10-30*

This App should work better given how expensive the shades are. The lack of integration with Apple Home Kit is a huge oversight. I expected the shades to work with a voice assistant and would have gone with another brand had I known this wasn't the case.

Routines to open and close the shades don't work consistently and make them useless. I would avoid purchasing Graber products until they make the application functional.

### 2/5 — Terrible amateur app

*2025-10-19*

Looks like the endless “Updating…” spinner upon tapping on gateway has *finally* been fixed - it now actually says “Connection OK” - halelulja!
All shades work fine in home network and also away from home - but only individually; all of my automation routines no longer have any effect. I tried to rebuild routines from scratch, same effect. PATHETIC!
Still no integration into Apple or Google Home apps, but maybe they should first try to get their own app under control.

### 2/5 — Mostly bad

*2025-01-13*

Given that this is supposed to be top of the line shades brand, the automation app is pretty lousy, unreliable and buggy.
Tapping on the gateway only results in an “Updating…” spinner without ever displaying anything. The room assignments of shades get randomly lost, and shades with top and bottom stacks will only move in automated routines if called with at least one second delay - what a strange bug!!
No integration into Apple or Google Home apps.
That’s all pretty pathetic.

### 2/5 — Mostly bad

*2025-01-06*

Given that this is supposed to be top of the line shades brand, the automation app is pretty lousy, unreliable and buggy.
Tapping on the gateway only results in an “Updating…” spinner without ever displaying anything. The room assignments of shades get randomly lost, and immediately testing any automation has no effect; I need to wait until the desired kickoff time is met.
No integration into Apple or Google Home apps.
That’s all pretty pathetic.

### 2/5 — “Shades” room designation keeps resetting to “No Room”

*2024-12-28*

What gives with this? I’m not sure if it’s an app refresh or some other reason that keeps removing the room assignments for each shade. Also, why not offer users a way to enter the close percentage number in addition to the graphical shade drag, which can be difficult to set for multiple shades to the same percentage.
