Now the remote app basically is no longer working. I’ve tried from three devices. Uninstalled/ Reinstalled no difference. While the app has never been perfectly reliable it did work well enough until the last few weeks. Hope it gets an update so I can raise this rating. ### 2/5 — Won’t connect. *2019-12-27, version 3.0.6* App worked most of the time with my original radio. Just replaced original with a new Mondo. App can’t find it. If only they would put some time into polishing the app. ### 2/5 — On freezes With the App *2017-11-13, version 3.0.6* I think the problem is that this app, originally shaky, some freezes, but still functional, may have become weaker for iOS 11. It is to be noted that there have been no updates since iOS 9. This weekend though I had a fast internet connection 30 - 60 mbps all weekend, and had relative success with the app. It's possible the app freezes more when the internet connection is slower, works more efficiently on a relatively fast connection, ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2017-07-16, version 3.0.6* Everyday I'm forced to cold boot my grace digital receiver in order for this app to find/recognize my Grace radio and allow me to use the app. Every day! I'll be floating in my pool and go change stations but I can't since my iPhone can't find the radio (I turn on the receiver manually). Nor does the volume control on the app god my receiver work. ### 1/5 — Searching is all it does *2017-03-22, version 3.0.6* Why even have an app when it doesn't work it just spins the circle around searching for my radio! Mondo's factory version is V266 as required for this remote to work, yet app stuck in search loop. Request to fix this ### 3/5 — Need to update app *2016-12-26, version 3.0.6* This was great app year ago but for the last 6 months the app loses connection and half time will not load pandora and it will just turn off music but the radio still on but no music I have to reset radio and app a lot to get system and app to work update please !!!! ### 3/5 — Needs a little help, but is excellent anyway *2016-12-18, version 3.0.6* The 3.0.5 upgrade doesn't work the sleep timer on my Micro System. Problem may be the radio's firmware or maybe my iPad2s. The firmware shows up to date. The radio is only a year old. OTOH, The ability to turn it on and off and control volume (make those volume buttons bigger, please) from the remote AND the extra presets make this a great app. Update: my app works great with my Mondo and the Micro System I use as a tuner on my stereo. But I talked a friend into buying the Tuner and the app he downloaded only shows 10 presets while mine shows 23. Stations loaded via the app don't stay in the tuner. Grace says there's an issue and a new version will be out soon. I sure hope it doesn't override whatever I have running, though. I just don't understand why the current app only shows 10 presets, even in the photo here, since mine has 23. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible Remote App *2021-11-13, version 3.0.6* Bought this radio several years ago and found it to be very useful as far as searching around the world for different radio stations. But now years later the app has not been updated with the new Apple software and it basically is in operable. So if you are thinking of buying an Internet radio look elsewhere until Grace starts to update their apps and the reviews go higher than one star. ### 1/5 — App stopped working on ios 3 months ago. Abandoned? *2020-10-23, version 3.0.6* Uninstalled and reinstalled, still will not find the same grace radio i have been using for the last five years. Local nerwork access is enabled. The radio is working fine apart from this remote app not working. 4 years since the last update of this app says grace has abandoned their old customers, so i am abandoning grace and buying from a different company. The app, in its current state, serves absolutely no purpose and is useless. When I log on to this app with my iPhone or iPad, I’m brought to the SEARCHING FOR RADIOS screen. I am assuming this is expected behavior. The app searches and searches and searches for my radio. When I click on BROWSE, I get the same results. I am assuming this is not expected behavior. When I click on the FAQs, I find the FAQs are out of date as the answers do not match the current software on the radio, e.g. there is no service pack and I can’t find V266 anywhere. I dont know is my version is up to date or not, according to the app store it is but when i open the app it shows 105 at the bottom of start screen not 309 or even close to it. It worked with my solo radio now it doesnt recognize it or my newer mondo radio either and they both work fine. Unfortunately, user experience seems to be something they don't care about, and the fact that they haven't made any updates to this app since Dec 2015 proves this. The app constantly freezes or crashes, menus are inoperable as they either bring up the wrong menu or bring up "No entries found" consistently. I’m also happy that the app works with voiceover. My only complaint is as of a few days ago, for some reason, the app won’t let me turn on the radio. I’m guessing the app needs an update. You can choose and memorize 1-20 stations among THOUSANDS of different radios, not mentioning pandora etc. The application by itself makes it easy to use from a phone/iPad. I've set up the remote with the iPhone and iPad and now I can control my pandora and stations easily. This is a much better remote than the push button remote that came with the radio. Like another reviewer commented, if for some reason the app can’t find your radio, shut down your phone, unplug the radio, take a few deep breaths and plug everything back in, and you should be good to go. Highly recommend! ### 5/5 — Working fine now *2016-01-27, version 3.0.6* After contacting Grace Digital customer support (Linda was patient and clearly very willing to help me), I received direct contact from their app support individual. Thanks to Jon's excellent help, my app is now working perfectly and I am grateful to both these individuals for restoring complete functionality of our two radios through the app. Companies that do this much to assist their customers deserve our recognition and great appreciation. ### 4/5 — It's back! *2017-06-17, version 3.0.6* Lost my phone and couldn't find to install on new phone. Found again! It is convenient and works. Better than scrolling on device to find stations. Could be even more functional, yes. But it is back and wife can also choose her preferences over phone remote rather than limited view at device. Thanks. ### 4/5 — Not QUITE perfect... *2017-05-09, version 3.0.6* The app works well controlling the radio and Pandora functions on my Mondo. Like other reviewers, I wish it would let me control the USB menu. Kind of a nuisance having to get up to select USB songs at the radio. Not a deal-breaker, but would give the app 5 stars if allowed USB file selection. BTW, the Mondo plays FLAC files recorded at 16-bit, 44.1 kHz. Some of the literature implies only 24-bit, 96 kHz is supported. I sold my Logitech Squeezebox Radio after I got the Mondo. To compare the two -- the Mondo has much better sound quality using the line out to external amp/speakers. But, you can't control the Mondo's line out volume, again necessitating at walk to the amp to adjust volume. I guess a better amp would have volume remote control, but I'm driving two powered speakers with no remote. All-in-all, the Mondo is a superior product. The app would be perfect with a few tweaks.
