The problem is it doesn’t seem to do anything. I try to select a station to listen to through the radio or to add to a preset bit it doesn’t do anything other than showing a spinning icon. Too bad. It seemed like a good idea. ### 1/5 — App update broke IHeart and the order of my station presets *2021-03-30, version 1.2.5* The latest update broke the connection with IHeart Radio. Plus, the 10 station presets no longer appear in the correct order inside the app, though they still work using the supplied physical remote device or by pressing the buttons on the radio itself. Same issues are also on an Android version of this app since this most recent update. ### 2/5 — Poor *2021-01-24, version 1.2.0* The app crashes a lot. Picks up radio, disconnects, clocks endlessly. ### 1/5 — NOT UP TO PAR, COMPARED TO MONDO APP *2019-08-30, version 1.1.2* I have owned a Mondo for about a year, and recently purchased the Mondo+ that requires this app. Unfortunately its impementations lacks by comparison. The simple red/green on off button on the original Mondo app would be preffered. Also the more visual display of alarm settings Enabled/Disabled indication with with switch, on the original app, is far more preferred. There is no way to tell if the alarm I set is Enabled or Disabled. Unless I try to it Enable or Disable it and get an error message saying it is already Enabled or Disabled. Also, the Home and power buttons do not function in alarm setting mode and the app get stuck in that mode and I have to restart the app. Please use the original app design for a better user interface. -- Also if you like Pandora on your Mondo, keep in mind, it is not on the Mondo+ without streaming from your iPhone. Update: I dropped this to 1 star. Apparently the company has no drive to improve. The app closes when trying to set an alarm volume. They do not care to fix. iHeart Radio is basic so you can’t use your iHeart account. I starting to look for a different internet radio from a company that cares. UPDATE: Should be ZERO stars. I would never buy another Grace Digital product. I have requested several times for the app to be fixed to stop it crashing every time I try to set volume in an alarm setting. I can adjust it on the Mondo+ directly but not with the app. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2019-04-13, version 1.1.2* This app needs to be updated. Many of the functions no longer work or crash the app. ### 1/5 — Found radio only once! *2018-11-23, version 1.0.7* If single use is the objective of this app it succeeded wildly. Connected to my Mondo once and never again. And, the current version is one year old. I hate lazy technology companies. ### 1/5 — App or hardware is defective. *2018-08-05* The app will lose connection with the radio after 4 or 5 days. To get the app to recognize that there is a radio present, the Mondo Plus has to have a power reset (holding down the power button until the radio reboots itself). It does not allow you to rename the presets the ones they give you are so wrong. You cannot. Move the order of your presets. The app really needs to be updated. Don’t mind plus and elite are totally different. They should have some similarity. ### 1/5 — Why no support? *2024-09-03* If you’re still making a selling this radio, why on earth is there no decent support app for it??? ### 1/5 — Buy cheap android *2024-04-27, version 1.3.0* This app, which is what I need to control my radios, no longer works with most of my Apple devices. I got around this by buying a cheap android phone on eBay and it is now my remote for the radio. It’s difficult to see why this app has not been updated in recent years! ### 1/5 — Was good then it just fell apart *2023-01-30, version 1.2.13* This app was good, doing everything you needed to do with the exception of adding presets (which someone already commented about). Sometime around the global lockdown or the latest ver. if iOS, it just feel as part! The thing I miss the most is being able to put the radio info standby, or return to the Home Screen quickly instead of hitting the back button; things you could do in the earlier ver. of the app.. The volume slider is too low on the screen and will bring you to the app switcher almost every time. I with the developers would update this to squash these and the other ugs that have developed in the app. On the other hand, the fact that it runs at all, and especially since Grace seems to be sucking wind, is amazing in itself. ### 1/5 — Volume issues *2022-11-16, version 1.2.13* Volumn control has issues. Volumn becomes the loudest setting without touching the app, phone, remote, or radio. Apparently there’s an issue with Chromecast which I absolutely hate and now can’t delete. ### 1/5 — Does not find device *2022-10-01, version 1.2.13* Works sporadically. I bought a new Grace Link and this app worked once and has since been unable to find the device. When it worked (once) its functionality was minimal. You could not set Presets or Favorites from within the app, only on the radio itself. The legacy app for the legacy Grace radios was much better. Disappointed. ### 1/5 — Horrendous *2022-06-14, version 1.2.13* This app is terrible. Constantly crashes and the previous model Is light years better. Only 10 presets, as previous reviewer said it crashes when adjusting alarm volume, and many other dysfunctional issues. Would never buy another product from this manufacturer. I had the Pre-legacy Mondo, and the app there was terrible. To rate this app like that app is absurd. I’m happy with what it does. The app helps make using the Mondo Elite a pleasure. There are 100 presets and bluetooth, so there’s a lot the app has to accomplish. It doesn’t do everything perfectly, but it’s quite useful. And it’s working with, and makes even better, a really top-notch radio. The only nit so far is that the sleep button only gives me ten minutes, and I cannot increase the time before the radio shuts down. But that’s in large part, the radio’s shortcoming (a glitch perhaps in my software/hardware) that the app does not solve. I’m hoping a future update of radio or app might address this. ### 5/5 — Simplifies setup and works well as a remote *2021-01-14, version 1.2.0* Simplifies set up and searches by being able to type in info rather than via the tuning knob. I have been able to accomplish everything I have set out to do. Good job ### 5/5 — The Missing Software Link *2020-09-12, version 1.2.0* I bought a Mondo Elite about four months ago. I did a manual setup using the hardware only. I found it laborious and quit after I found a couple stations I was looking for. The Mondo worked great the whole time, but I knew there's a lot more stations out on the old interweb. One bored lock down evening I found this in the app store. After downloading it instantly found my radio and I was off, audio surfing. Long story short, I have 7 presets and I couldn't be happier. I haven't had any hardware connectivity issues in the four months. Very stable products! ### 5/5 — Simplifies the Mondo+ Experience *2018-05-02, version 1.0.7* The original mondo was rife with criticisms regarding the remote and knob functionality, though you will still find yourself turning to these for certain situations, this application neatly modernizes the navigation of the radio. I’ve got my Mondo+ hooked up to my sound station for my turntable, and the application makes it easy to navigate in bed or at my desk. Definitely don’t skip downloading if you’ve recently purchased a Mondo+! Thanks Grace Digital for all the love you put into the hardware and software. I couldn’t be more thrilled! ### 4/5 — Needs updating for iOS 17 and iPhone 15s *2024-01-09, version 1.3.0* Love the app but after upgrading my phone the buttons at the top are blocked by the dynamic dock and can’t be clicked on. Clunky app. *2021-10-08, version 1.2.13* I absolutely love my Grace Digital Mondo+ radios - we have several, in various rooms - and I wish the app were as wonderful as the hardware is. Things are better than they used to be, but it’s still not super intuitive and could use a UI overhaul. ### 2/5 — Useless volume control, rest clumsy to use *2022-11-09, version 1.2.13* Developers: please tweak the volume interface It is TOO close to < (play/pause) > controls, and to bottom of screen. And whatever needs doing so phone doesn’t think I’m swiping the whole screen right/left. It’s impossible to move volume slider. Because screen either swipes or play controls are activated instead. Rest of software feels clumsy but usable. I am neutral about exactly how to redesign it, but indeed feels like much room for improvement. ### 2/5 — iOS version not working *2022-06-25, version 1.2.13* This used to be quite functional, duplicating what the Mondo+ can do, but lately, when I try open the app, the screen flashes, and I get back to the Home Screen. Pretty frustrating. There appears to be a glitch. Hope it gets repaired soon. ### 2/5 — Whoever designs this should be replaced. *2022-02-13, version 1.2.13* How this company survives is beyond me. The radio, the remote, the app and instructions appear to be designed and written by nerds who have never shown the devices or the manual to anyone who’s not a nerd. Everything is nearly impossible for their mother or for me to figure out and make work. My suggestion; next time you make it write something show it to your mother and don’t release it until she can make it work. ### 2/5 — The old app for the older radios was much better *2021-08-13, version 1.2.13* Open the app and tap the radio and it turns it on. Touch the white power circle and it turns off. Touch preset and it shows your presets and touch a preset and it plays it. What it does NOT do is allow you to write a new preset or overwrite a preset. You must do that directly on the radio. The old app let you do that.
