## What is GrailFox?

Snap an English Pokémon card and see what it is worth — the exact printing, in seconds.

Base Set, Shadowless or 1st Edition? GrailFox narrows it to the exact printing, asks you to confirm when two look alike, and shows what that printing sells for — with the source and date of every price.

Three free scans. No account.

WHY GRAILFOX

• Exact printing, confirmed with you. GrailFox reads your card, then checks the match against the card catalog by set, number and printing. When two printings genuinely look alike, it shows you the candidates and asks you to confirm.
• Honest prices. You always see where a price comes from and how fresh it is.
• Your collection, valued. Save cards with quantity and condition, see the total value and how it changed this week.
• Your photos. The collection shows the cards you actually photographed — your copy, in its real condition, not a catalog image.

HOW PRICING WORKS

Your first three scans are free — no account, no sign-up. After that:

• GrailFox Pro — US$39.99/year, up to 500 scans a month.
• Single scan — US$0.99 for one extra scan whenever you need it.

Prices in other regions may vary; the exact price is always shown before you buy. A scan is only spent when a card is identified. A failed scan costs nothing.

WHAT GRAILFOX IS NOT

It identifies English-language Pokémon trading cards only — no Japanese or other-language printings, no sports cards and no other card games. When GrailFox cannot identify a card, it says so, and an unidentified scan is never charged.

PRIVACY

No account, no email, no password. Card photos are used to identify the card — the Privacy Policy explains exactly what happens to them: https://grailfox.net/privacy

SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS

GrailFox Pro is an auto-renewable yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-23

When several printings of one card match, the picker now shows the photo you took on every row, and each row says in plain words what tells that printing apart — the stamp, the drop shadow, the foil pattern. When the foil is readable we mark the row we think you are holding, and you still confirm it. Searching by hand separates printings the same way.

Your collection shows each card's full name and set, so two printings of the same card no longer look like one row.

Scanning is steadier: the crop follows the frame you lined the card up in, and the shutter no longer waits on a measurement that sometimes never arrived.

Picking a printing now selects the one you tapped, and shows that printing's price. It could select more than one and settle on the first.

While a scan runs you now see the photo you just took, instead of an empty frame.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-15

Type the card number when the camera can't read it. If a scan comes back without a match, or the list of printings doesn't include yours, enter the collector number printed on the card and GrailFox looks it up and prices it from that.

Better matching for vintage and promo printings, including cards whose number is printed without a denominator.

Small fixes throughout.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-12

Ask for a rating after your first saved card. "View" after saving now opens your Collection tab. Condition grades are explained on the scan result. Pro subscribers see their kept scan credits in Settings. The app says what it identifies: Pokémon trading cards. Small fixes.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-03

No release notes.
