### 2/5 — I feel robbed. Is there no chance to get it back?

*2025-03-17, version 17*

I paid, in full, few months back since I believed it was a one-time payment. Anyone would think so. Now, I can’t seem to get what I paid for since the app shifted into a subscription-based system.

I loved this app, badly. Is this just an error? Or did it absolutely change?

### 3/5 — 구매내역 삭제해주세요

*2017-02-04, version 3.8*

### 4/5 — Learning English? This app helps!

*2014-03-06*

Lots of good business sentences where a non-native speaker would be likely to make a mistake.

Boring for anyone who already writes well that was hoping to learn more advanced grammar.

### 4/5 — It's ok

*2014-02-21, version 3.6*

I think it goes over the main grammatical errors that people make. It is at a high elementary school level and low middle school grades 3,4,5,6,and 7 should consider using it to help their grammar and older students should refresh their memory with it

### 2/5 — Apps shut down

*2013-09-20*

fter apple update all these apps close down when you get to the step to review the questions you get wrong it shuts down and you have to start all over

### 2/5 — English teacher

*2013-04-15*

Whoever wrote this app needs some grammar and usage tutoring! Many errors in spelling and usage. I bought the full version and in just one question there were two errors! You need a good proofreader! Shameful!

### 3/5 — Needs work...

*2013-01-22*

Numerous grammatical errors in this app! The Adverbs portion of the test asked the question, "He arrived ___ to work this morning", with "early" (the answer they were looking for) and "late" as possible choices. Needless to say, this app needs work...

### 4/5 — Fun app

*2012-12-21, version 3.1*

Thanks for this app, learning grammar is fun!

### 4/5 — Good program

*2012-08-13, version 3.0*

Many test, is a good program

### 4/5 — Grammar App

*2012-05-28*

It's really fun! It shows you your mistakes, to review them. It really helps you keep learning, to sound more articulate! I love apps like this. This is a really good one! Get it right away!

### 2/5 — Just questions no rationale

*2011-12-28*

This is just grammar questions. It does not explain what these grammar items are e.g. "what is a adverb"? Also there is no explanation or rationale for a wrong or right answer. Just a lot if questions.

### 3/5 — Intended for non-native speakers.

*2011-12-26*

I was looking for an app to polish up my grammar. This app was way too easy, and I also noticed a few grammatical errors. I'd pass if you're a native speaker.

### 3/5 — Good for a quick refresher

*2011-11-28*

This is the free version of Grammar Up. The app itself is very easy to use and straightforward. Students can choose from ten different grammar categories, and test themselves with five to ten questions for the category they select. This app is good for a quick refresher on something like conditionals, prepositions, etc. I would recommend it for a student just needing to see a few examples to get over the hump on figuring something out in an English class or any class where papers are written. However, you really do need to upgrade to the paid version to be able to rely on this for your day-to-day grammar needs. The full version has over 1800 questions and 20 categories to choose from.

### 4/5 — Good apps but price too x for full version

*2011-05-01, version 2.8*

Full version very xpensive.

### 1/5 — Ads are Distracting

*2020-05-25*

I got a 100% on the first test. The content was great.
On the second test I noticed casino style slot machine above the sentence. It was very distracting having 7777 rolling over and over while trying to read a question.

Then I realized that this app is made for children and became very alarmed. There is nothing wrong with grammerly ads just put the them far away from the question and don’t make them flash every two seconds.

The flashing can also cause in anxiety in students who may not have had it before starting this app. Kids with ADD don’t need to be tempted to play dangerous gambling games while reading.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work!

*2017-11-29*

It is not good! It keeps skipping the questions, and the design isn't the best.

### 1/5 — Pay to be Advertised to! Disgusting!

*2016-12-27, version 3.8*

This is the first time I've ever came across a paid app that actually includes annoying pop-up advertisements! The developers should be ashamed of themselves! How can you include advertisements in an educational app?!

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2014-10-07, version 3.6*

You actually learn

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE APP

*2013-06-27, version 3.4*

Short/undetailed descriptions of each grammar concept
Quizzes are too short (only 10 questions)
Focuses on more “choice of words”, not identification of part of speech
Several errors
Some tests are locked (unless you pay for full version)

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2013-02-09, version 3.1*

Disappointed to find out dated and sexist examples, not to mention religious references.

### 1/5 — Fea

*2013-01-29, version 3.1*

Esta horrible porque no te anima a aprender ingles nisiquiera tiene sonidos! Esta muy aburrida si tiene para aprender pero estaaburridisima y no te enseña mucho solo es de completar oraciones y que hueva con esta app. Bye

### 1/5 — Hate It

*2013-01-14, version 3.1*

I thought this app well help u with grammar homework but it does not.It gives u more work to do. :(

### 1/5 — Incorrect use of English!!!!

*2012-11-26, version 3.1*

This app is obviously not designed by a native English speaker, for it is flawed with mistakes in the application of the spoken language. Some of the example sentances are incorrect, bearing no syntactic relation to the words being used, and frankly, just doesn't make any sense!

### 1/5 — The creators of this app need a grammar course.

*2011-07-22, version 2.8*

There are numerous grammar and punctuation errors in this app! No excuse!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2011-08-18*

I like the app! It provides me with a challenge:learning stuff the hard way. Everyone that gave it a bad review has to be enough to already know what they are trying to teach you. I think it goes along with the whole learn from your mistakes thing. I'm getting better grades in school. So stop complaining!

### 5/5 — Great!
