## What is Grammaticus Maximus?

Barbarians are attacking Rome. But they're not just barbarians, they're grammar-savvy barbarians! You are Grammaticus Maximus, the leader of the Roman army. By sending legionnaires of the correct inflection to the onrushing barbarians you can save Rome from destruction.

Defend Rome with your grammar skills, win the favor of the gods by sacrificing to them in their temples, and rain down the vengeance of Jupiter on the barbarians. Grammaticus Maximus turns learning and practicing Latin grammar into a gaming challenge.

In Grammaticus Maximus you will practice the inflections of Latin (verbs and nouns), but packed in a challenging and fun game.

The game tasks you with defending Rome against advancing barbarians. However, these barbarians come "armed" with a Latin word. By selecting Roman soldiers of the correct inflection you can defeat the barbarians. If you send the wrong legionnaire to a barbarian, your soldier will lose. Barbarians who reach the city will set Rome on fire. If you're not careful, Rome will burn down and you'll lose the game. By defeating barbarians you earn pecunia. By offering this to the gods in the temples, you can improve your armies. Speed them up with the help of Mercury, train them faster with the help of Mars, or let Jupiter's lightning make short work of an advancing barbarian. Earn new upgrades for your triumphal arch by playing well.

In a beautifully designed 3D world and a challenging game setting you'll forget that you are practicing Latin. But only with your knowledge of Latin inflections can you overcome the barbarians.

We have just started learning latin, this game is great for when you need a break 👏👏👏 if in the difficulty screen, being able to filter to a specific declension or conjugation would be fantastic. Thanks again for a fun and challenging game !!

It’s clear a lot of love went into this game, it is charming. However, it is difficult for studying Latin because it doesn’t allow you to filter by declensions. The way my class is learning, we are starting with all cases of 1st and 2nd declension, however there is no way to have just 1st and 2nd declension nouns. So ultimately, while this is charming, I can’t use it to study.

Dieses Spiel stellt sämtliche Plattformen in den Schatten, Bubble kann einpacken, Allaa. Ohne diese wäre ich nicht Latein LK und wahrscheinlich nicht mal geboren. Glauben Sie mir es verändert ihr Leben um große Maximus Schritte (das ist lustig). Die Grafik spielt mit meinen Augen, eine Rtx Grafikkarte ist durch aus zu empfehlen. Aber musst du wissen 👍 Schöne sonnige Grüße aus dem wunderschönen Mecklenburg - Vorpommern an der Müritz, euer Rainer Zufall

Magister Electronicus (aufYT) hat mir dieses Spiel empfohlen! Sehr starke Animationen. Es bewegt mich. Sehr Lehrreich. Durch dieses Spiel habe ich meine Latein kenntnisse verbessert.
Hohe Grafikanforderungen❗️Es werden Szenen von Mord gezeigt welche nicht nur meine Latein sonder auch meine Ethikkenntnisse verbessern.
Ohne dieses Spiel würde ich in Latein durchfallen

Ich finde die App sehr lehrreich, auch die Animationen sind 10/10.
Doch ich kann hier leider nur 4 Sterne geben, da ich es besser fände wenn man seine eigene römische Stadt hätte und dieser einen Namen geben könnte :)
