## What is Gramms?

Tell Gramms what tonight's story should be about. A few minutes later your child is the hero of it, read aloud in a warm voice, with each word warming as it's spoken so they can follow along.

And tomorrow night carries on from tonight. The next chapter opens the same book — same world, same characters, the thread still hanging where you left it. Chapter five still knows what happened in chapter one.

A VOICE THEY KNOW

Grandma is four time zones away. Dad is away for work. Gramms can read the stories in their real voice: they record a few seconds in the app, or you bring a recording you already have. It becomes a private reading voice that reads only your child's stories, and you can let it go whenever you like.

HOW A NIGHT GOES

- Type what tonight's story is about — a lost mitten, a brave dinosaur, the first day at a new school
- A story comes back with your child's name inside it, read aloud, with artwork of its own
- The words warm one at a time as they're read; tap any word to jump there
- "Stop after a while" lets the story fade down gently instead of cutting off
- Keep tonight's story on the phone and it plays with no signal at all
- Leave an idea for what happens next, and the next chapter picks it up

BUILT FOR THE END OF THE DAY

Nothing interrupts a story once it's playing. No prompts, no pop-ups, nothing that would wake a child who is almost asleep. Stories are written for ages three to ten, and the telling changes with the hour: slow and quiet at bedtime, a proper ending in the afternoon.

Stories can be told in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese.

WHAT IT COSTS

Three new stories a week are free, and the first loved one's voice is free to hear. Everything you have already made stays yours to play, always, at no cost.

Gramms AI Premium lifts the weekly limit and lets you add more voices.

- Monthly — $5.99 per month, after a one-week free trial
- Yearly — $49.99 per year, after a one-week free trial

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription.

HOW THE AI WORKS, PLAINLY

OpenAI writes the stories and reads them aloud. We share your child's first name, their age, and your story idea — nothing else.

If you bring a loved one's voice into Gramms, OpenAI listens to that recording first, to be sure a grown-up made it. Then our voice partner Cartesia makes the reading voice from it. OpenAI also listens to each finished story, so the words can light up in time with the reading. Nothing about a voice reaches either of them unless you choose to add one, and you can let a voice go at any time.

You can remove any of it, and your whole account, from inside the app.

### 5/5 — Big hit!

*2026-05-02*

Such a great app for all parents to make bedtime stories super easy! My 3 year old daughter loves to create her own stories together with me with her favorite characters. Can highly recommend it!

**Developer response:** So glad to hear this! Hearing feedback like this makes my day as a solo developer! We released new features and improvements recently. Don’t forget to try them out!

### 5/5 — Awesome and creative

*2026-03-05*

What an amazing application! Very creative and super easy to use. Perfect for tired parents! If I could give 10 stars I would.

**Developer response:** Thank you! "Perfect for tired parents" might be our favorite review summary yet — we'll take it. If we ever figure out how to display 10 stars, you'll be the first to know. Really appreciate the support!

### 5/5 — Fun experience for kids bedtime stories!

*2026-02-24*

Both of my daughters were excited to build their own unique stories, listen to them (without me reading them a book for a change), and the build something new the next time. Fun app that I would encourage for your kids bedtime/story routine!

**Developer response:** Two daughters, two different stories, zero books to read — this is exactly what we had in mind when we built multi-child profiles. Really glad both of them are getting their own adventures. Thank you for sharing this!

### 5/5 — My Kids Love It

*2026-02-18*

Started making stories and can’t stop! So cool…

**Developer response:** Ha! "Can't stop" is exactly the energy we want at story time (just maybe not too late into the night 😄). Thanks for the love, Herve — really glad your kids are enjoying it!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0.2 — 2026-08-31

Improved behind-the-scenes install reporting to help us understand how families discover Gramms.

### 3.0.1 — 2026-08-30

Welcome back.

If you made stories with us before, they're here. Your children and every book you started, right where you left them.

A story someone shares with you now opens in the app, on the right page.

Finding things is simpler too. Each child has their own shelf. Every book remembers where you stopped. And you can change or remove a child's details whenever you need to.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-08-26

Gramms has been rebuilt from the ground up.

STORIES THAT CONTINUE. The biggest change: a story no longer ends when it ends. Tomorrow night opens the same book — the same world, the same characters, the thread still where you left it — and later chapters remember the early ones. You can leave an idea before you close the book, and the next chapter picks it up.

READ ALONG. Each word warms as it is read, so a child can follow the line. Tap any word to jump the narration there, or open the whole chapter as quiet text.

A GENTLER END TO THE NIGHT. A sleep timer that fades the story down instead of cutting it off. A story you keep on the phone plays with no signal. And a quiet closing beat when the chapter ends — nothing asked of you, nothing to tap.

SIX LANGUAGES. Stories can now be told in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese.

A NEW LOOK. Everything is hand-drawn now — the marks, the type, the lamplight. It was designed to be read in a dark room by someone who is tired.

Everything you made before is still here, and still plays.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-05-04

v2.0.0 — Stories anytime, not just bedtime.

Anytime mode — Pick a daytime story with energy and a satisfying close, or stick with calm bedtime pacing. There's a per-story toggle on the Create screen, and a default per child.

Upload a voice — Got an mp4 from Grandma's WhatsApp? You can now upload audio or video files to clone a family voice — no fighting with mic permissions on a phone that isn't yours.

Autoplay — Tap "Autoplay on" in the player and let stories chain together for up to 3 in a row, or 30 minutes — whichever comes first. Perfect for bedtime wind-down or a quiet afternoon.

Better stories — We rewrote our storyteller prompt around the masters of children's literature. More concrete imagery and earned warmth, less sparkle and twinkle.

Plus reliability fixes for background listening on a locked phone.

### 1.9.0 — 2026-04-27

Behind-the-scenes improvements. Same bedtime magic, no changes to your stories or settings.
