### 2/5 — 1 Pro, Lots of CONS!

*2026-06-26, version 2.1.11*

Best looking gin game, BUT…. This game is definitely trying to make you purchase coins to play, I.e. you have to wager coins to play, so if you do a 10,000 coin table, both you and your opponent put in that amount for a 20,000 pot. However, the winner will only get 15,000 (loser doesn’t receive anything), so the game takes 5,000. Basically you only get half of your opponent’s wager for winning, but you lose all of yours if you lose. That’s hokey bs! Also, it definitely feels rigged at times, to make you have to buy more coins. Great looking game, but it treats its human players like a greasy turd.

### 2/5 — No response on help

### 2/5 — Unfair - Don’t Spend Money

*2026-05-17, version 2.1.11*

This game will just cause frustration with its unfair dealing. I know the app developer claims it’s fair but look at all the complaints. If you decide to play it do not spend money on it - you will get ripped off.

### 1/5 — Greedy

*2026-04-26, version 2.1.11*

Played this for many years and greed finally took over and you riddled the game with ads, it’s pretty much unplayable.

Bunch of sellouts

### 1/5 — Still Garbage

*2026-04-21, version 2.1.11*

I came back to see if this stupid game had changed for the better.
Alas, it has not. The fluctuation of winning and losing is so drastic at times that it is laughable. The game is simply not worth spending money on, in my humble opinion.

### 1/5 — Pay to play

*2026-04-17, version 2.1.11*

Ruined this game was the best gin game available but last update made it impossible to play with out having to pay!

### 4/5 — What a game!

*2026-04-13, version 2.1.11*

WORST GAME EVER! Don’t waste your time Or MONEY! It’s rigged or seems like it for sure!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bummer

*2026-08-28, version 2.1.11*

The new update took all the fun out of the game. Now it’s just a money grab. The cards are in no way random either. They clearly are manipulating your win ratio. They must be prioritizing players that are spending money and buying chips.

### 1/5 — Joke

*2026-08-04, version 2.1.11*

Pitiful game. Same hands over and over. Do better

### 1/5 — Trouble in Paradise?

*2026-06-25, version 2.1.11*

I recently noticed that the mobile phone version of this game is gone. Oh well.

### 1/5 — App will not load now

*2026-06-20, version 2.1.11*

Sits on “updating” but never gets past 20%. Been playing for years, so this is disappointing

### 1/5 — APPLE INC’s DUTY OF CARE TO CUSTOMERS AFFECTED BY GAMEDUEL GMBH

*2026-06-13, version 2.1.11*

I wish to add my support to the reviewer who wrote a review under the above ‘Title’. It’s shameful that Apple Inc should allow Gameduel GMbH to remain on their platform and cause significant monetary loss to so many -
The game is entirely manipulated and does not represent fair play and Gameduel GMBH will respond with the same response “We are sorry to hear you are …..”
More shame on Apple Inc for allowing this potentially fraudulent activity

### 1/5 — APPLE INC’s DUTY OF CARE TO CUSTOMERS AFFECTED BY GAMEDUEL GMBH ⚠️

*2026-06-11, version 2.1.11*

Given the growing number of complaints and allegations made against Gameduel GmbH concerning match manipulation, unfair practices, and potential fraud, Apple should not seek to distance itself from responsibility. By hosting, promoting, and processing transactions through its App Store platform, Apple has played a direct role in facilitating consumer purchases and has benefited financially from those transactions.

Where credible concerns exist regarding the legitimacy and fairness of a developer’s operations, Apple has a duty to protect its customers and investigate such matters thoroughly. If consumers have suffered financial loss as a result of misconduct by Gameduel GmbH, Apple should accept its share of responsibility and provide appropriate refunds to affected customers rather than directing them solely to the developer.

Consumers place trust not only in the developer but also in Apple’s App Store ecosystem. That trust carries with it an obligation to ensure that products offered through the platform meet acceptable standards of fairness, transparency, and legality.

### 1/5 — Rigged/weighted towards developer

*2026-05-31, version 2.1.11*

Concur with many of the comments here, and in fairness, already raised in app but fobbed off with 'standard' replies about algorithms and 'opponent' skill - simply put, the runs of poor 'luck' significantly outweigh any runs of good, and I see distinct patterns of this - when I haven't played for a while, I am dealt miraculously fortunate hands for an early streak - but when I have over 500k chips but choose to play low stakes, I get whipped up to ten times on the bounce..

In addition, runs of cards in the deck make you think they're shuffling the deck with sellophane still on, and when attempting to collect the bonus collections, you'll most certainly only complete the collection with higher stakes games

I appreciate this rating is futile as the developer will never admit, so I'd tread carefully, especially if tempted to purchase in app.

### 1/5 — Still Garbage

*2026-05-27, version 2.1.11*

I came back to see if this stupid game had changed for the better. Alas, it has not. The fluctuation of winning and losing is so drastic at times that it is laughable. The game is simply not worth spending money on, in my humble opinion.

### 1/5 — Rigged

*2026-05-27, version 2.1.11*

100% convinced You cannot say that this game isn’t rigged in the beginning you win all the time and you seem to be leveling up and and getting these huge "payouts " then suddenly you stop winning and get sucked dry was exciting when I had first deleted and started over and saw some changes also what’s with these stupid stamps another scam I’m not sure if I’m going to continue with this game because I am absolutely disgusted

### 1/5 — Nope

*2026-05-22, version 2.1.11*

Game has been down for 2 days. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Moving on…..

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best game ever!!!

*2026-06-30, version 2.1.11*

This game is great. If you loved shuffle cats this is just as good. I’ve wanted a replacement for that game ever since it was discontinued. I’m so glad I found this. My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner.

### 5/5 — Please don’t shut it down!

*2026-06-14, version 2.1.11*

I’ve been playing this game for nearly 5 years and it’s the best Gin Rummy game out there! Please don’t shut it down.

### 5/5 — Ratings

*2026-05-27, version 2.1.11*

Great format!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-05-21, version 2.1.11*

I have been playing this game for almost 10 years, every single day!

### 5/5 — Lower coin games taken away

*2026-04-23, version 2.1.11*

You took away the lower games now you have to pay more coins over 1000 or higher each time to play. Rewards are far few and in between. I never have enough coins to play. I tried to buy a game pack and didn’t receive it. I got a refund, but there’s no way to buy coins. Unless you buy gems and they are too expensive.

### 5/5 — Grand gin rummy 2

*2026-04-12, version 2.1.11*

Luv this game my favourite

### 5/5 — GET RID OF THE AUTOMATIC ORGANIZATION OF THE CARDS PLEASE!!!!

*2026-03-02, version 2.1.11*

I love love love playing rummy! I have a few different apps i play it on and each one has their own special quirk that absolutely INFURIATES me… THIS one’s quirk is that it automatically sorts your cards and makes runs for you, and you cant move your cards around yourself at all.. It doesnt always make the runs i want, which messes up my deadwood count.. and since we cant move our cards around freely and have full control of out hand, more often than not it ruins the match for me.. please, please update the app or however you can fix it and make it so we can control our own hand. PLEASE

### 5/5 — Best Overall

*2025-09-13, version 2.1.11*

I have tried a lot of Gin Rummy games on the App Store and IMHO this one is the best. I like the UI, the vintage look, and the different options for game play. I will say that I agree with some of the comments that suggest it *seems* “rigged”, as I have seen many card draws and many knocks/gins that would be *almost* statistically impossible with a normal, randomly drawn 52 card deck. For that, I suggest playing the Oklahoma option as it makes it harder for those things to occur. Otherwise, this is a very good game.

### 5/5 — Fun lover

*2025-09-07, version 2.1.11*

I’ve been playing this off and on for a few years. It’s one of the best games out there to play against real people. There’s no game player comments that are rude. Also there’s no actual money involved, so when you lose it’s only your ego that gets bumped a bit. Some people are just really good. They seem to play a lot. I try and learn from them. Change up your strategy depending on their game style, if you can. Good luck and just have fun. Easy to learn and yet it’s challenging. I’d suggest playing the Oklahoma style. It gives you more time to figure out their style and beat them! 🥳

### 5/5 — I’m hooked

*2025-07-10, version 2.1.11*

Im hooked. Played gin growing up.
Now I have my family playing online with me.
