Piece of junk. ### 2/5 — Maybe expecting too much *2020-12-02, version 1.4* I had high hopes for this piano app but unfortunately it’s not great. It sounds thin and mono. I was hoping due to the size off the app and from looking at the updates that it would at least be half as good as Ravenscroft and at a snip of the price. Lot of potential ### 5/5 — One to invest in *2020-09-01, version 1.2* This piano really does sound good now and after modifications of the initial release is very pleasing and responsive ..its staying in my collection of Auv3 instruments. It’s a bargain so if you have the disk space grab your self a copy for the price of a sandwich and a can of vimto 🙏🎩 ### 3/5 — Nice sound but lacks control *2020-08-28, version 1.1* I’m a fan of realistic pianos, so this should be right up my street. My initial impression is that the sampling is good with a pretty good piano sound. However, there is an abrupt stop in the sound when a key is released that is very un-pianolike. More like a very basic sample player. The sound needs a release control to sound more ‘real’ Standard ADSR adjustments and a velocity control would be good. So, for now I can only give in 3 star rating. But will happily up-rate it if the release can be sorted out. Update. The good news is that after an update the abrupt halt in the note on key release appears to have been sorted. After further investigation, to get a good sound out of this app, I needed to first add 10dB of gain overall as it is very quiet, add another 10dB of gain for the bass frequencies below 500Hz, take the treble frequencies down by 9db, add some reverb and then reverse the left and right audio channels (the lower notes seem to be louder on the right of the stereo field and the higher notes louder on the left - which is opposite to the sound you’d hear sat at a piano). This is such a shame as the basic piano sound is quite good. Admittedly, some of these adjustments are to personal taste, but I think there is a fundamental problem with the raw sound. Incidentally, after the adjustments mentioned, I am really liking the resultant sound. ### 5/5 — Nice update! *2020-08-28* I bought this the day in came out and it didn’t manage “releases” on short notes correctly but 24 hours later it was updated and fixed the problem. It a very close mic’ed recording of the notes and doesn’t have ,much “room presence” which can be useful in a mix where you want to create the reverb and IR (Impulse Response) the room should have for the performance. So it’s dry compared to the other pianos in AUv3 format but it’s easy to add reverb and so hard to remove it. So, that’s a plus for me but might not be for someone just wanting to start and play.
