### 5/5 — Fantastic Graphing App!

*2016-09-03, version 1.0*

I've been waiting for this app... it's an excellent addition to the Mac and Win versions of the same program. You can plot nearly any (or perhaps any) function or relation, including parametric, 2D, 3D, animations, complex, 4D (color), vector fields, curves, surfaces, objects...

Nice, nice app and it shows off the Retina display. Even if you are not a math junkie, the eye candy of the demos and examples is worth the price of admission.

While you are at it, make certain you read the history behind the program...

5 stars and well worth the price!

### 5/5 — What I Always Wanted

*2016-09-02, version 1.0*

I was never terribly good at math and always wanted a way to visualize what the equations really meant. My dream has come true with this iOS app. Easy to enter equations, easy to change them, and very pretty visuals. As far as I can tell it can graph anything, with flair. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Insanely Great App!

*2016-09-02, version 1.0*

If you care about math and math education -- and want to experience how tech can enrich learning -- you will buy this app for yourself and your kids. Stop wasting money on "drill and kill" math facts games and enjoy the underlying beauty of actual math. And teach your children the story of how this came to exist and the drive to innovate. Someday they too can make something that is insanely great, like this!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2016-09-01, version 1.0*

A great app when it first came out on the PowerPC Mac, and still a great app!

### 5/5 — It's about time!

*2016-09-01, version 1.0*

I am delighted to see Pacific Tech's venerable graphing calculator finally make its way to iOS. It's a wonderful tool for visualizing and building intuition about mathematics.

I'm very impressed so far (only been playing a few hours so far) with the iOS version so far, particularly the interface. Which feels natural-perhaps even easier to pick up than the OSX predecessor.

### 5/5 — Coolest math program ever!

*2016-08-31, version 1.0*

This app is a port from a program that shipped with the Mac back in the PowerPC days. It was the coolest math program ever back then, and it still is. It is great to have it available on iOS. It is worth many times the price.

This app helps math students at all levels visualize functions and graphs in very enlightening ways. We use it frequently in many math classes at the college where I teach. It's capabilities cover every level of math from beginning algebra to multidimensional calculus, complex numbers, and four dimensions, and everything in between. I wish this app had been available when I was a student. The user interface is a model of simple, elegant, and friendly design. It is also beautiful and fun.

There are lots of math graphing apps now, but none is both as powerful and easy to use as this one.

### 5/5 — The calculator I have waited for

*2016-08-31, version 1.0*

This is a great graphing calculator. No need for any other. Simple or complex graphing.
Interface works intuitively and flawlessly.
Great for teaching and doing.

### 5/5 — Best graphing calculator ever

*2016-08-31, version 1.0*

I know I should have knocked off a star for the non-retina rendering, but hey, when your favourite app of all time comes to iOS, you don't hold back :-)

### 5/5 — This app rocks

*2016-08-31, version 1.0*

If you can express it in mathematical notation, this app can visualize it. Superb!

### 1/5 — Can not work in iOS 18.1

*2024-11-03, version 1.9*

Can not work in iOS 18.1

### 1/5 — Menus broken, needs an update

*2024-06-14, version 1.8*

I loved Graphing Calculator on the Mac. While this may have been a great port at one time, in 2024 on iOS 17.5 it appears to be broken. The back button to exit a graph is missing and the examples and demo don’t work. Too bad such a wonderful piece of software has suffered bit rot.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work on iOS 17

*2024-05-06, version 1.8*

Doesn't work on iOS 17 with iPhone or iPad

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2024-03-22, version 1.8*

Says it should work on the Vision Pro, does not. Not even 2d plot. Completely unusable; was hoping for cool AR 3d plots.

### 1/5 — Non functional

*2023-12-21, version 1.8*

Trying to open this just goes to Files app and a dead end... please explain. Ipad 8th gen, 17.2

### 1/5 — Please update your app asap for iOS 15.

*2021-10-17, version 1.6*

It doesn’t work on iOS 15. Just freezes couple of seconds after opening the app. It looks really awesome though.

### 1/5 — Very laggy and fails to graph complex functions

*2020-02-04, version 1.5*

This calculator is able to graph the hyperbolic trig functions in both standard and complex form no problem. However it completely fails at anything related to Euler’s formula and is very laggy. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants a good 3d grapher.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPad

*2018-03-26, version 1.0*

I’m looking at the reviews and I’m stunned. How can you say this is a great program? It continually crashes, freezes anytime I load an expression, and when it does actually graph ANYTHING I wanted to graph, I cannot select the input for editing. It’s completely useless on an iPad Plus and these reviews must be false...false advertising.

So, Ron Avitzur, unless you are going to update the port so it does work on my iPad Pro, please change your compatibility information and return funds to anyone who requests it.

Really???

### 5/5 — The One 1 & Only

*2021-04-10, version 1.6*

Still incredible!

### 5/5 — What a story

*2021-01-11, version 1.6*

With a backstory like this app has, there’s no way I could not buy it.Not to mention it’s an outstanding graphing program

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app but one slight hitch

*2020-10-15, version 1.5*

For 5 pounds of my hard earned money, can someone please make the spheres less knobbly. I will give you exposure if you unknobble these things. Please.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-10-12, version 1.5*

I and my calculus students use GC in iOS, Mac, and Windows versions. It is the best graphing program—better than Geogebra and Desmos in its ease and versatility.

### 5/5 — Great program!

*2019-05-02, version 1.3*

This has been a wonderfully useful little program on the Mac for years. The port to iOS is also fantastic. It is much like the Mac OS version in features but also very intuitive to use in touch mode and easy to use on the small iPhone screen. Great job!

### 5/5 — Best math program

*2019-01-04, version 1.2*

Graphing Calculator was the coolest Mac app on the PowerPC and is now the coolest math app on iOS.

It’s simple to use, but is also much deeper than it looks. Put an “n” in an equation and get a variable slider. Put a ‘ in an equation for reflection. Graph 2D equations using x, y coordinates and 3D using x,y,z. Seamlessly overlay multiple graphs and easily export both still images and animations.

### 5/5 — Cool history. Too buggy to use.

*2018-04-16, version 1.1*

This 1.1 version (Apr 2018) has fixed debilitating stability issues in the previous release! I’m happy to say it is now as stable and as enjoyable as I was hoping it would be. This is an excellent product with a fantastic back-story.

Thanks for the update!

### 5/5 — Absolutely fantastic

*2018-04-10, version 1.1*

Easily one of the best mathematical packages for iPhone. The natural layout of expressions (stacked fractions, superscript powers etc) eliminates the need for copious bracketing which plagues other CAS packages. As a Physics undergrad student, the desktop version is an essential part of my daily computational toolkit, and now I have all that power in my pocket wherever I go.

### 5/5 — Awesome graphing calculator!

*2018-02-20, version 1.0*

Awesome graphing calculator app! Version 1.3 exists on my old PowerPC macs running OS9 and I used it a lot for math / CS classes on my iBook G3 (I miss that machine). Glad it's now been updated and better than ever. The developer was quick to reply about my inquiry. Highly recommended!

P.S. Since upgrading to iOS 11, I noticed that the app keeps crashing now, especially if I try to rotate or zoom in on 3D graphs. Any plans on fixing the bug? I really like this app. Hope it gets fixed.

### 5/5 — Still the best graphing calculator out there!

*2017-04-23, version 1.0*

Of all the graphing calculators I have used, Pacific Tech's Graphing Calculator is the best because, unlike the others, the user interface does not get in the way of actually doing the math. By comparison, other apps have clumsy user interfaces that get in the way — resulting in frustration, wasted time, and distracting away from the mathematics of interest. Whereas this app's user interface gets out of your way, so you can focus on the math without having to battle the program! Thank you for bringing this to the iOS!
