The presentation was quite impressed and I was happy that the scientist mentioned this app as a great tool for young children to learn how to read. I like that there isn’t a lot of elements in the lessons to easily distract the kids but the pronunciations are horrible. For example the sound for the letter R sounds like M. I hope this is fixed. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! We recommend students use headphones to hear the nuances of the sounds. However, we are preparing an update to include new sound file options for different users so you can find the pronunciation that fits your kid the best! Thank you again for the helpful feedback. ### 1/5 — Terrible product - incorrect content *2023-09-14* We purchased this four our child who reported they didn’t understand and were confused by the app. When we looked closer, we observed that what the app was speaking did not match what was written - its simply wrong. Clearly there is no quality control behind the app, or it’s tested by people who do not understand the language. This is very frustrating that we cannot trust it to do anything but confuse children. I strongly recommend anyone from wasting time or money on this. **Developer response:** Thank you for leaving us a review. In the app we have a "Catch the rhyme"-level where the user hears a sound and must then find syllables and words that rhyme with the sound they heard. We have had feedback that this level can be confusing for younger children and we will improve the instructions in an upcoming update. Thank you again! ### 1/5 — This is just like the American English one *2022-09-27* I paid $8.99 and this app is no different from the one for $2.99. It won’t let me go above the sound levels. As you say, the Learn to read app is very similar to the American English app in terms of amount of content, but there are dialectal differences in for example the pronunciation. However, we are working on a premium version of the game with more content, once it is ready we would happily offer it to you for free. ### 5/5 — Best phonics game *2019-06-26* We’ve been using the original Finnish version of this game for our two bilingual kids (7 and 5) - and been waiting/hoping for the english version. When I try I briefly see my sons name and avatar but then I’m bumped back to the login screen.
