## What is Gratitude Journal Lock?

You reach for your phone without deciding to. The feed, then the news, then the feed again — and twenty minutes later you couldn't say what you read.

This puts one small thing in the way: a sentence about something good.

Pick the apps that pull you in. From then on they're shielded, and the way through isn't a passcode or a "remind me later" button — it's today's question. What made this morning easier? Who did something kind and never mentioned it? You answer in a line, and your apps open for twenty minutes. Then the shield comes back, and the next time you reach, it asks again.

It sounds like friction. It works like a habit. After a few days you start catching yourself before the app is even open — and on the days you do write, you've kept a line you would otherwise have lost. A month in, it reads like a record of a year you'd have sworn was ordinary.
