I accidentally added photos to the wrong day and I can only replace them... can't delete them. I don't like that it's too easy to tap and type anywhere so it's inconsistent where the lines start. I downloaded several gratitude apps to try out and see which one I would stick with, and this is the one that won. I don’t need creative prompts or to be nagged to write essays. I just wanted something that would remind me to think about what I’m grateful for, for a few minutes a day, and give me a place to record it, so I can look back easily when I need to. I lost a few entries when I first started using the app, because I wouldn’t hit the Done button, thinking I might want to come back and add more later, since it allows only one entry per day, but I realize now that I can just go ahead and hit Done to save, then go back and Edit later, if I want to. If I might make a suggestion for a feature for the future, it would be nice if the little entry thumbnails at the left didn’t display only just the “Today I am grateful for...” prompt, which is not really very helpful for browsing back through the entries. Maybe there could be a place with the option but not the requirement to add a one-word title/summary, and that would display in the thumbnail? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Didnt work for me *2025-06-09, version 3.7* This app sounded great and I appreciated it was free unlike so many others. But nothing seems to save for me. The settings I chose didn’t save. My journal entry didn’t save. Just this weekend have rewritten it. With no luck of getting it to save the entry. It worked for about 10 days. Now I wrote something and it doesn’t save it. I can’t write more then one entry either. It just freezes. It doesn’t give me the option to save it like it did in the past. Very disappointing. I looked and the last update was 3 years ago so I guess this app is OVER. It's beautiful and it seemed easy to add my entries for a the day. Sometimes, I forget to put my entries and it's not letting me go back and add them for the previous day. This is disappointing, but I thought I could live with that and just be sure to make my entries every evening. Now, I see there's no way to access any of my past entries so there is no sense in trying to use this app. ### 1/5 — App deleted all my entries when I tried to sync with icloud *2016-12-02* I chose this app over others for its claims to "Sync Seamlessly on your iDevices." This app is more expensive than other similarly rated apps, but I bought it for this feature. I used it on my iPad for several days, then I finally used it on my iPhone. The moment I used iCloud to sync, it deleted all my previous entries. I contacted customer service (twice) and while they've been polite, they have not offered anything useful--no fix and no recompense. The responder actually wrote back that "Currently I suggest you don't use the iCloud feature in the app." This has really soured me on what was supposed to be a positive new habit. Save your money and choose a different app. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2016-05-14* I will write this review in the same style that this crappy "journal" works: ~It only provides a place to list text in bullet format; not to write like a journal. Gratitude doesn't need to be described in bullet-only format. ~There's no help or info feature. Go ahead and waste time trying to figure things out. -There's no obvious way - if it exists- to logout. I could only get back to my iPad homepage and then no passcode was required to get back into my journal even though I established a passcode. ~When you attempt to add something to your day's entry a pop-up admonishes you to stay focused as you're only permitted one entry per day. Well, pardon me for being so careless and forgetful! ~It's features are so basic this app isn't even worth the energy and time if it were free. ~Where all of the positive reviews came from will be one of history's all-time unsolved mysteries. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Really great app *2026-01-03, version 3.7* This is the second device with this app. I love the attractive and simple thumbnail, the journal page presentation and ease of use. Both journals carry deeply personal gratitude that I’m not able to verbalize because there is no “one person” who would understand.
