### 3/5 — Update

*2026-08-19, version 1.51*

Whatever update is going on, the app is no longer working..all my saved workouts in the library is gone, my feeds are all erased, I can’t even access the settings in my profile. Very disappointed. I’ve used this app for over a year, now have to cancel this subscription .

### 5/5 — Gravl

*2026-08-19, version 1.51*

Great App highly recommended

### 3/5 — Good but to expensive

*2026-08-18*

Even at the discount at £70 its still to much to pay for a little more than what flex ai gives for free it’s not worth the difference..had to stop using it because it doesn’t have a free version

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-08-16, version 1.50*

AMAZING app to get you into a routine and have friends hold you accountable well worth the money

### 5/5 — Um bom aplicativo

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-15*

Love it. It’s made a major change in my progress.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2026-08-15*

Excellent app so easy to use.
Helped me so much since started using it and wish I’d of started using it sooner.
Really great app for people who wanna start working out.
Should be more apps like this one.
10 out of 10 for me.

### 5/5 — Loving

*2026-08-12, version 1.50*

Enjoying my workouts and watching the progressions the best.

### 5/5 — Great App! One Suggestion

*2026-08-11*

Incredible app, basically a personal trainer in your pocket
I think this app is fantastic and hands down the only workout app I use.

What makes it great:
* For beginners: It takes away all the guesswork if you don’t know where to start or how to structure a routine.

* For experienced lifters: It eliminates decision fatigue. Having the app program your sessions feels just like working with a personal trainer.

* Smart progression: The adaptive weight suggestions (and set tracking) feel incredibly spot on, almost like it reads your notes and adjusts intensity automatically.

Room for improvement / Feature request:
I’d love to see more cardio features integrated down the road like tracking running workouts or custom cardio sessions besides is already there. It’s primarily a strength app and does that exceptionally well, but expanded cardio would make it a complete all-in-one platform.

Bug report for developers:
The only minor issue occurs when using the search tool to swap or replace an exercise. The search occasionally glitches, images overlap, or the app freezes momentarily.

Overall, I wish I’d found this app years ago and can't wait to see how it evolves. Keep up the awesome work!

### 5/5 — The one and only fitness app!!

*2026-08-10, version 1.50*

I’m blown away by how inclusive this app is. It is my personal trainer that keeps me motivated with stats and moving forward. I’ve been able to tone my body and I get compliments all the time and I attribute 100% to this app helping me and pushing me. If I could sell this app, I would do it. As a tech person I think there is a couple things they could add, but they are always adding things and it keeps getting better.

### 5/5 — Best app on the market

*2026-08-08, version 1.50*

This app is incredible. I moved to it about a month ago after years on FitBod and am blown away. I was hesitant to move over because I thought “how different can it be”.

The workouts are more logical based on my 15 years of lifting experience. On FitBod I was editing the workout all the time to make it more sense (ex it would recommend 2-3 different types of deadlifts on the same day)

The workouts have also pushed me harder than I’ve worked out in a long time. I didn’t realize how much I was leaving on the table every lift. I’m feeling stronger, bigger and better than I have in a long time.

The Garmin App is a game changer. Keeps me from having to pull out my phone all the time and getting distracted by something else on my phone.

Can’t wait to see how it progresses over the next few months.

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2026-08-07*

Wasn’t sure at first, not my normal fashion of working out but in 3 weeks I’m impressed with the strength and muscle actually built in such a short time, I will 100% be using this for the foreseeable future

### 5/5 — Options

*2026-08-07, version 1.50*

Best I have ever used.
I love the gym profile option so I can adapt my workouts based off the equipment I have available.
You can also pair your app with friends and hold each other accountable.
10/10

### 3/5 — Add equipment

*2026-08-04, version 1.49*

Please add the ab Crunch machine not only the plate loaded one

### 5/5 — Great tracker

*2026-08-03, version 1.49*

Easy way to log and keep up with workout. No requirement to purchase and base version has enough to keep an active journal. Great app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — New free trial

*2026-08-20, version 1.51*

I can’t pay for a hefty subscription without trying it. No free trial at all.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-19, version 1.51*

Disappointed because the more I experienced Gravl the more I dislike it. I was excited to try at first because of the emphasis on progressive overload training and it was cheaper than Fitbod. Then I started seeing all the smear campaign ads against Fitbod and I was a little discouraged, but I understand the strategy so I figured I’ll still give it a shot. I cancel my Fitbod and now I can’t even finish completing my profile to even try out Gravl… so I guess I’m going to wing it today for my workout and see how I feel about trying it again tomorrow. I don’t have high hopes though :/.

### 1/5 — Was using Fitbod

*2026-08-17*

I don’t know what they did between last year and now but I redownloaded the app after my sessions with my trainer were completed and the app kept saying I hadn’t authorized it to count workouts from other apps (like cycling in the apple fitness app). So I deleted and redownloaded it, and now no matter how many times I redownload it a blank screen pops up in front of the app UI and nothings on it and I can’t get rid of it. What a piece of garbage.

**Developer response:** Hey, sorry about that. If you contact us directly we can definitely help you. Please send us an email at support@gravl.ai with your user email, we always reply within a few hours. Thanks.

### 1/5 — Confusing.

*2026-08-13, version 1.50*

Lame tutorial- difficulties saving and retrieving workouts.

### 1/5 — Still major bugs

*2026-08-05, version 1.49*

When I replace exercises it wipes it out and when I replace weight it wipes it out. Had to enter in multiple times in one workout

### 1/5 — Terrible, glitchy

*2026-07-20, version 1.48.1*

Worst app I’ve ever used. Glitchy, won’t save the workout you’ve created. Changes things you’ve added to your workout. Won’t let you create the split you want or add movements to your sessions. It’s just terrible all around.

### 1/5 — Nope

*2026-07-17, version 1.48.1*

Cancelled and deleted after one workout. Terrible glitchy buggy nonsensical design.

### 1/5 — Odd behavior and too few exercises

*2026-07-12*

The app seems to have several issues IMHO: 1) It doesn’t really seem to take into account my resistance training experience even though it does ask. 2) It regularly attempts to push me into weights I can’t handle. I guess it uses a very basic algorithm that doesn’t take into account my physiology and repeated corrections. So much for AI driven plans! 3) The one rep max estimation is generally way off for me. It seems overly simplistic and definitely doesn’t seem AI driven. This maybe way I’m having issues in #2 above. 4) The screen doesn’t scale to size for my iPad. 5) Free apps like Caliber have a better selection of exercises. I find that I’m coping exercises from Caliber a lot. 6) The advertising for this app is really starting to turn me off. They are acting like high school bullies IMHO.

### 1/5 — Bugs

*2026-07-11, version 1.48*

How many times does it need permission to access my Apple Health? No offline access in no service areas. Lack of all machine exercises.

### 1/5 — Meh. Does what they all do

*2026-07-06, version 1.47.8*

App is nothing special. Does what the others do. Seems they can only promote their app by bashing their competition.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — O melhor

*2026-08-25*

Eu simplesmente amo esse aplicativo! Estou com ele há bastante tempo e posso dizer que ele mudou minha maneira de pensar em como treinar e me deixa muito seguro!

### 5/5 — Best training app with great programming

*2026-08-23*

I’ve followed all kinds of programs over the years, changing over time as my goals evolved, from classic 5x5 to niche hybrid athletic training. When it comes to strength training, Gravl hits the nail on the head. It goes beyond a simple strength tracker to an intelligent progression, and the mild gamification elements of the strength scoring encourages me to push myself in ways that no other app or program at all has ever done. Great app that only seems to have gotten better since I first started using it 6 months ago.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-22, version 1.51*

Man I luv this app… always pushing my limits!!!

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend

*2026-08-21, version 1.51*

App is legit! Truly helps with personal discipline when it comes to working muscles groups that you know you NEED to work; but really legs, abductors, & abs…the accountability it exactly what I needed!

### 5/5 — LOVE IT

*2026-08-20, version 1.51*

THANK YOU. APP HAS BEEN MY BESTFRIEND

### 5/5 — Loving it!

*2026-08-20, version 1.51*

I’ve been working out consistently 4-5 times a week for 8 months, I got to the point where I wasn’t sore or feeling productive after my workouts. I’ve used Gravl twice now and love it! I feel my workouts during and after now. I feel productive in the gym and have a plan now!

### 5/5 — Weight recommendations

*2026-08-20, version 1.51*

The app changed with making it add weights in really bad ways. For example to make 135 on the bench it wants 35 plus 1-5 and 2-2.5 why not just put a 45 plate on?

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-20, version 1.51*

Best AI lifting app out there. One wish… can you add an option to enter physical injuries you’re dealing with? I don’t want the AI overlord to think I’m getting weak HN I’m just dealing with a bicep tear.

### 5/5 — Better than Fitbod

*2026-08-19, version 1.51*

Used Fitbod for a little over a year and kept getting stuck. Switched to them and I felt like I got my mojo back. 10/10

### 5/5 — Gravl

*2026-08-19*

J’adore cette app
