Currently, images are divided by categories like embryology, lymphatic system, arteries, veins, myology, syndesmology, osteology, etc. There are some chapters (like the chapters on veins and arteries) that only have text and no illustrations. On the up side, you can create your own notes and bookmark images. ### 3/5 — Gray's Anatomy *2015-02-01, version 1.4* I was somewhat disappointed with the application. I did not find the amount of information to be adequate. Gray's Anatomy is world reknowned and I found the book itself to be quite detailed. However, this application has limited amount of information and may not be adequate for a medical student. Average at best. ### 2/5 — It's a bit embarrassing but not completely awful *2014-01-04, version 1.3* The navigation is rather questionable. Search doesn't work until you figure out that tapping return doesn't do anything but you need to tap the custom search button. Text is presented without the expense of thought. You have to copy it into a writing app to read it. Don't be fooled by the promise of 3D models. While they are there, they're not overly useful. The models are rough and simple front projection is used to texture them. Very crude and inaccurate. But for $2.99 it's OK just to show something without having to go to a quality model. A few images are there but the entire rest is text over an error message. The developer doesn't seem to be bothered by this, given how long the app has been out. ### 2/5 — Confusing *2013-10-14, version 1.3* It is difficult to see the name of parts. Few usage of the possibilities of iPad. And it is very slow as well as very big. But it is cheap. The app is nothing but screenshots of the pictures from the book/website, most with no labels and all with no description. I can't understand what this app is useful for? No good for surgeons, useless for students.... Also, a search for 'neck muscles' comes up 'no items' found...the search functionality should be improved (at least for lay people such as myself) and the navigation could be a bit better... ### 1/5 — Poor database integration *2012-11-04, version 1.3* If you want to find something, I.e. a structure, artery, or vein and you type that into the search engine, good luck. Their database is poorly populated for searching and chances are what's labeled on a slide is not cross-referenced with the search engine. The 3D feature is also VERY weak. It can only be viewed in landscape format. The anatomy in this app is so substandard for anyone with basic medical knowledge that is insulting to even market and sell. Carter - the great anatomical illustrator who worked with Dr Henry Gray to create the seminal book on anatomy, this is a great digital resource to back up the indispensable book.
