You won’t get the content although you paid for it. I spoke with Apple and they sent me to talk to the publisher. I spoke to the publisher and they told me it was a problem with Apple. So frustrating!!! ### 1/5 — Not working *2018-08-18, version 1.0.12* The digital version won’t load onto the App, despite my logging in and out many times. ### 1/5 — Will not fill page *2018-07-18* I am using an iPad Pro 12in. The text sits too high on the screen and leaves a black space of about 1,4 in. at the bottom. This app is poorly maintained and costs more that the print subscription. I am rarely able to download current issues due to app stating I need most current app. Also sometimes I will not receive the new issue until it has already been in print for more than a month. Unfortunately half way through my subscription it has stopped working, new edition informs me I need a newer version of the app, the app tells me I'm up to date . I was wrong- I feel that if you have a paid subscription you should be able to access either electronic or print editions! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY OR USE *2025-08-21* App has NO SUPPORT FROM MORRISON COMMUNICATIONS. It appears as they do not care if all of us get our subscription. These people are not at all helpful or available. I am reporting. Them to apple to get this worthless app off of the store it is nothing but a take you money and disappear. I have read grays since 1980 and digital since 2017 and have never had all these issues with them. DO NOT BUY OR USE THIS IS A SCAM ### 1/5 — Barely Works as of May 2023 *2023-05-01* RECOMMENDATION = DON’T BUY!!! Very incompetent app for a big $ prestige publication. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. Almost cancelled and demanded a refund as it wasn’t working at all, then the telephone help center assisted me to reset the account & it came back up. Pull down Header & footer menu is inconsistent & requires multiple attempts. Photo & text quality is excellent. I am able to access editions I subscribed to & even possibly prior years. However there is no easy & transparent way to get back out of an edition & back to the main list of available editions , so you get stuck in one edition. I am canceling my renewal. ### 1/5 — Buyer beware *2023-03-15* Boy do I wish I had read the reviews before subscribing to the digital issues. Using the instructions Gray’s sent me to access the content simply doesn’t work. I’ve emailed for support , but reading these reviews leaves me doubtful I’ll get any help. I will happily update this review if they do in fact help me. ### 1/5 — Dead App Why Are You Still Selling Subscriptions *2020-05-11* I have had this app for about 5 years. For the first two years it was wonderful. Great content and great presentation. Then problems started with the formatting not rendering correctly. That lasted about a year before it was temporarily fixed with an update, then promptly broken again. Now I get download issues where it either clocks away (30-40 minutes before I just shut it down), or it I open while not on WiFi then get on WiFi once the app is opened it will download about a third of the issue and lock up. At other times it won’t recognize your subscription and not display your purchased issues. Calling the publisher is useless because the subscription is through iTunes, calling iTunes is useless because they say it is managed by the publisher. This is clearly a dead app and should be removed from iTunes. Very disappointing for such a well respected publisher as Gray’s. ### 1/5 — Does Not Work *2020-04-01* Just got ripped off $24. Do not try to get digital edition. They were unable to refund my money, have to call back. It’s a shame, I’ve been reading Greys for years. If you have purchased a digital subscription I suggest you demand a refund. I called Morris Media support to ask why and they told me I had to call Apple since I bought subscription through App Store. Of course App Store has no clue why they are not updating their app. I think they are well aware they have basically abandoned this app and their subscribers and simply trying to deflect the phone calls. Interestingly you can’t even request support through the app because you have to have an account...not an iTunes account.
