How well will I learn the words?

Academic research has found that memories are formed by repeated exposure to new information, so Magoosh’s flashcard app uses a spaced repetition system. Words you are learning will reappear frequently (occurring less frequently the better you know them) and words you already know won’t be repeated. The GRE word list is culled so that you focus on only the most important words.


Your practice will focus on the words that you need to review the most to make sure the words you learn will really stick.

Recent progress is not saved properly. Everytime I reopen the app, it reverts back to a previous state and all my recent progress is removed. This gets even worse when phone is in low power mode. The app needs to save the activity on each update and not in background (app could get killed when in background). This is a very basic thing to keep in mind while developing apps, but the developers seem to have missed this. It's really frustrating to have your progress reset everytime you reopen the app!

Love, love, love you guys!! I started out just wanting to passively learn vocab in my day-to-day, and Magoosh has been nothing but loyal to that goal. Just having the habit of doing flash cards 10 minutes a day—heck, even 5—is enough to learn valuable vocab that I can use in my essays. Might come in handy if I need to take the GRE in the future too :) Thank you, Magoosh <3 Love you!

I love everything about this app however some of the example sentences or written horribly. Some sentences confuse me more and some seem run on or too long. If they can approve upon their sentences on the flash cards I will give them five stars.
