Not this won. **Developer response:** Hi, Léitheoir, and thanks for your feedback. We don't have any ads anywhere in the app. If you mean the list of upgrades at the bottom of the screen, we keep them there to show you that you've purchased them (they change color after you've purchased the item). ### 1/5 — Waste of space *2013-07-23* Confusing, just takes up space on your tablet. **Developer response:** Hi, Olaf078. We're in the process of completely rewriting the app, so let us know what you're looking for! ### 1/5 — Absolute rubbish! *2010-09-30, version 0* There is nothing you can use here to learn Gaelic, just a dictionary! Three tabs, the first one you have to pay for, the second is just a web forum that you don't need the app for, and the third is a very basic list of translations, such a shame! ### 2/5 — Okay but not great *2015-10-04, version 4.0* Rather limited language app. Also, upgrading to iPhone 5, I find I can't input a search on the dictionary; search window keeps slipping up beneath the heading. ### 2/5 — Practice section:( *2011-03-10* The practice section doesn't seem to be working. Not really as helpful without it unless you're dying for an app with prepositions and don't feel like going to focal.ie for a common word. **Developer response:** It started out as an app with "cheat sheets" to help you memorize common patterns in verb conjugation & prepositional pronouns, Sadie Ellen, but we'll be adding more features soon. ### 3/5 — Cá bhfuil na cruthaitheoirí??? *2022-01-05* Unattended aip apparently. Is trua sin, mar I’d have loved to hope for a possibility of the foclóir bein fixed. The starts with / ends with / contains would be iontach ar fad, but as it is, there does not seem to be a way to actually use ‘ends with’ or ‘contains’. To any prospective app creators, is dócha, I’d reccommend making dictionaries which allow the search results to swith between containing, starting with, and ending with the search term. As far as I know, such a thing is not possible on teanglann… so far ar aon chaoi. **Developer response:** Thank you for notifying us of this problem, Gwenhwyfach. We're happy to report that it was fixed in version 6.0. So now you can search to your heart's content, using 'starts with', 'contains', and 'ends with' to find patterns and related words. Try out the latest version now, which also has more vocabulary, a completely new Alphabet view including an Ogham font, and widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen. ### 3/5 — Good app *2016-11-27, version 5.0* Great app! However, I think it would be better if it included some tips for pronunciation, perhaps a spoken voice? From my experience the Gaelic language isn't pronounced the same as English so it'd be really helpful to know how to actually pronounce these words. Thanks! ### 3/5 — Seems incomplete or unattended *2013-04-01* I downloaded the app for my parents. The navigation didn't seem obvious. There was a note about an update more than a year old, but no update. And I paid for the in-app purchases, but didn't receive them. I'm not angry. It's not a lot. I just want the app to be useful and functional. Please finish and send my verb tenses and preposition details, please. **Developer response:** Thanks for leaving a comment, GalacticaLover. The in-app purchases show up when you tap on a verb or preposition, and a detail page of information shows up that gives more details and examples. Look for more new features soon. ### 4/5 — Brilliant for a free app *2010-04-30, version 0* I am very impressed with this app, especially now so that it has verbal conjugation. The biggest problem with verbs so far is that there is no way for someone who doesn't know Irish verbs to tell between infinitives and other verb forms displayed on a page due to a lack of a help guide or labels etc, but nothing a look on wikipedia on Irish grammar can't really fix. It would be nice to have past tense forms etc but these guys need to make money somehow so luckily they've still been included as paid features. ## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Cool app *2015-10-09* I really like this app I'm glad it exist the more Gaelic content the better I especially like that it has a Apple Watch feature but I would like to see a complication feature added for the bottom complication on the watch face. Also I really expected that after I upgraded the advertisements would be removed however they were not I hope and future versions and upgrade will remove the advertisements because I don't like to see them. My other two request would be more content and audio content (like a guy pronouncing the words ) it's a good start tho so 5 stars. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback and great rating, Akosimike.
