Why Choose the Great White North app?
Launched in 2026, we are on a mission to map every Canadian manufacture while making the shopping experience easier at the same time!

Barcode Scanner
  -Scan any food item to add to one of your lists, find out where to buy it, see the official Canadian rating, and to see if there is a more Canadian.

Local First
  -Use the "Is there a more Canadian" option to see any results.
  -Then use the location feature to see if the product was scanned near you.
  -Helps the smaller local manufacture get their products found.

Shopping Utility
  -Giving you the ability to have your own, as well as shared (for the family) shopping lists.
  -Scanned or searched products, and even your own wording (Milk, Cheese, etc) can be added.
  -Add items to a list from your favourites list, delete once bought.
  -All members in a shared list will have the same list items at all times!

Nutriscore rating along with the packaging ingredients and nutritional informantion
  -Users have the ability to upload a picture if any are missing to help the community

Secure & Private
  -None of your personal info from your phone is ever used, kept or saved by the app...never! 

The GWN's database of Canadian ratings and scanned retailer locations becomes truly powerful the more we Canadians use the app. As it grows and captures more local suppliers and where their products can be bought, the better it is for us who want to search them out to purchase!
