And I hate that there is a maximum tip! When a driver gives me spectacular service, I want to be able to give them a good tip. I won’t be using the app anymore until these issues are fixed. ### 3/5 — Can’t tip?? *2025-10-10* Pick up and trip was smooth but it would not allow me to add a tip at the end saying payment could not go through regardless of payment method use. No option to go back into to the app later to tip either. Its also impossible to contact your driver ### 3/5 — Meh *2024-10-03* Like that the app gives a flat rate for trips and don’t have the uncertainty of how much it will cost because of unforeseen traffic conditions. Convenient instead of calling. The only issue I really seem to have is that the driver arrival time is never accurate. Sometimes it says 1minute and it takes 10. Sometimes it says 5 minutes and it’s 30 seconds. Sometimes the time for arrival never updates at all and this is all when I’m in a good cellular reception area or with strong wi-fi connection ### 3/5 — Fare Change *2024-06-01* I’m a fan of the app, one thing in particular is the fixed rates that are given when I book a taxi through the app. Recently, There has been a change where the fixed rate is back to a fare. It’s very annoying especially when the drivers are very slow sometimes. Hoping it goes back to a fixed rate as paying an extra 4 dollars for a trip that would have been 14$ gets pricey. Had one driver who tried to charge me in the cab, although I’d already paid online. Maybe it needs to be more straightforward got the drivers as well. I would like an option to print a white receipt with black lettering, since a black screenshot take an insane amount of ink to print. There is a reason uber is killing your business. You have ONE job - know the addresses in the city. It did not allow me to connect to my ride as the sign suggested so I couldn’t use the app in that instance. Strike one. On leaving Edmonton, I prebooked a yellow cab to the airport and when checking back on the app I found my ride was not scheduled even though the app pre-authorized my credit card. Strike two. I booked an Uber instead. I would avoid this app. ### 1/5 — Terrible driver and system *2022-05-15, version 3.19.0* Called in to pre-book taxi, came almost 20 minutes late. Almost made me missed my field trip, when I get ready to pay the taxi driver pressed the highest amount for tips. I just paid quickly because I was in a rush to chase bus. But I am furious with the service, asking for the highest amount of tips when the driver almost made me missed my trip because he was late! And I tried to book through the app this time, says all drivers are unavailable this time. ### 1/5 — Get uber instead *2021-07-17, version 3.11.0* App has significant difficulty placing location. When it does have the right location the estimated time to pickup ALWAYS is much much shorter than the actual wait time. Uber >>>>> greater Edmonton yellow The drivers do a good enough job though, not their fault. ### 1/5 — They will steal your money *2021-03-02, version 3.4.0* On February 12 2021 I was charged $41.26 (and I have the proof on my bank statements) The cab was only supposed to be $29.90 I understand there was a pre-payment thing so I waited 5 business days and was not refunded the difference. I wanted 2 weeks and never got a response after leaving multiple voice mails. Once I heard from some one I was told this never happened even tho I have proof that I was charged by the yellow cab company $41.26. The app is intuitive and convenient, and the service is prompt and efficient. Hire real people (at Yellow Cab) who do a great job instead of a company (Uber) that's intent on ditching its workforce as fast as possible. ### 5/5 — Booking ahead works pretty well *2023-04-04* Easy to use app. Booked a cab night before my flight day.
