Greatness purposely hides its subscription so you can’t see its active, doesn’t notify you when it’s due and so just take the money without authorisation. Nothing very ‘Great’ about that. And charge you after you have already cancelled, won’t give you a refund even when it’s their mistake ### 1/5 — No Greatness *2025-02-12, version 1.8.13* Stay clear -This company took my money and would not help me with my login. A year later they attempted to charge me again. When I emailed them to cancel and actually hit a response they kept saying they want to provide great customer service BUT refused a refund despite an emailing string showing I tried to get my issue resolved as year ago. They say they want greatness but it is far from great. ### 1/5 — Just downloaded this…. *2025-01-28, version 1.8.13* And I like it but it’s kinda hard to stay on track when never get notifications nor can I turn them on when prompted. It’s giving me an error message that I can’t even read because it pops up behind another pop up in the app. AND the app doesn’t even show up in my settings under Notifications when I try to turn it on that way. Not very effective in trying to track and stay accountable with behavior modification if I’m never getting notifications to remind me. ### 3/5 — Great Start *2025-01-08, version 1.8.13* I like the platform. It speaks to you like an adult, not childlike. The content is very informative and visually pleasing. There seems to be a problem with turning on notifications. Also the add custom routine is not functioning properly. I have committed to the yearly paid plan, but if these issues are not corrected, the app becomes useless, and I will not continue on. ### 1/5 — Cancel *2025-01-02, version 1.8.13* There seems to be no way to cancel this app- you keep getting charged $66 monthly even though you keep trying to find ways to cancel- it doesn’t seem to exist ### 1/5 — Not Worth The Money *2025-01-02, version 1.8.13* I signed up for this app a year ago, and maybe used it for a few weeks, but it wasn’t really helpful. I stopped using it and forgot that I even signed up (had to use a credit card instead of go through my Apple account). So, I didn’t realize that after a year they would charge my card again without even notifying me. Can’t say I’m surprised because they bank on people forgetting they signed up. Oh, and you have to cancel 48 hours before the end of your subscription or you’re on the hook for another year. Keep that in mind. ### 1/5 — No Renewal Warnings and No Refunds *2025-01-02* I purchased this app last year in hopes of assisting with my resolutions, but I only used it a handful of times and didn’t find it useful so I forgot about it. I was just charged for another year without any warning, and when I immediately cancelled my subscription and asked for a refund, I was denied. Apparently I was warned in the initial terms and conditions when the renewals would be occurring, but I believe that is insufficient. Most platforms provide a warning email of upcoming subscription renewals so you have the opportunity to cancel, and if they don’t, they understand that people forget and will issue a refund without issue. Deleted the app after 3 days after paying £54 in Dec 2023. Despite cancelling the autosubscription in my Apple apps I got charged £54 again without hearing a single word from them in a year yesterday - obviously a user error in there somewhere, but the fact they’ve not communicated in any way before taking the money is wrong to me. Stay away and never give them your payment info. ### 2/5 — More scammy than helpful *2024-11-29, version 1.8.13* I downloaded the app and felt it was fine, but a bit much. It seemed more geared towards their pre-existing courses. Mostly the review comes from the support I received. I forgot to cancel (my bad!) and immediately contacted support to cancel. They told me no. I hadn’t used it in 11 months, and hadn’t used any features since it renewed. Sure, that’s my bad, but companies usually have a grace period. Not this one. They made sure to get their money. So I wouldn’t recommend bothering to give them your credit card info or they’ll use it. ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2024-09-27, version 1.8.13* Continues to bill me w/o permission. Had to contact PayPal and file a dispute. ### 1/5 — No clear way to cancel *2024-09-24, version 1.8.13* I’m being billed for a renewal I don’t want, but cannot find any way on the app or on the website to cancel ### 1/5 — Be careful! *2024-09-11, version 1.8.13* So called “greatness” have overcharged me twice for their app. Although they state a price of $54, they took 54 POUNDS STERLING out of my account in 2023 and 2024, which means I have overpaid by more than 20 pounds. I tried to cancel but was not within the 48 hour period (no reminder from them, of course!) and they offered me a ‘goodwill gesture’ of £13.50, which still puts them ahead. Just imagine a profit of £10 on every UK transaction. …. Sneaky. ### 1/5 — Unhelpful content (IMO) and Shady Customer Service!!! *2024-09-10, version 1.8.13* I wanted to love this app when I tried it last year, but I did not find it to be helpful at all. Oh well… It happens. However, I was shocked to see that the Greatness team just charged my credit card to renew my subscription for another year without any prior notification that it would be renewed. And the subscription was not listed among my other app subscriptions in my Apple account either. Very weird. I brought this issue to the attention of their customer service, who pretty much said that there is “nothing we can do to reverse the pending charge” for an app I cancelled the subscription for and have no intention of using moving forward. It’s clear to me that the lack of notification is intentional on their end, which is unfortunate. I have never subscribed to another app that engages in this practice. This is the opposite of “greatness!” ### 1/5 — They don’t notify you of renewals. *2024-08-31* I dowloaded and paid for the app a year ago. Didn’t use it more than once or twice. I just got the notification from my credit card for the renewal charge. No reminder came in advance of the charge. I deleted my account and definitely WON’T recommend it to anyone. ### 1/5 — Be careful. *2024-08-19, version 1.8.13* Be careful if you are trying this app and subscribe to use the full services. They will charge you yearly without any notice, or clear way to unsubscribe. It does not show up in your App Store subscriptions so you can’t even check. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Not helpful *2024-08-11* I tried this all for a week and it was not helpful. It doesn’t look nice, the habit tracking is clunky, and if you make a mistake tracking a habit there’s no intuitive way to fix that. I found using this app to be frustrating and cumbersome—definitely not something I want to add to my daily routine! Plus if you want to do the “21-day challenge”, be ready for them to continually say that your tracking didn’t actually happen in the app. It seems you have to track your habits exactly within their certain chosen timeframe in order for it to “count” toward the challenge. Similarly shady when you attempt to cancel your subscription. I am now attempting to cancel for a 2nd after being charged once again. The app is not worth the hassle. If they really stood behind the product, they shouldn’t be engaging in these deceptive billing practices. ### 1/5 — App is good for people trying to establish - account management is a nightmare *2024-08-06* I really do see this app as being great for an individual’s in need of some guidance on developing consistency in habit and self-investment. It just wasn’t my forte. My biggest concern is that I canceled my subscription a year ago, but was just charged for it!?! I didn’t even receive any emails or other notifications I was being charged. In my third party payment provider the company that owns Greatness, Joggo, etc. Kilo Research - just billed me $66. No indication whatsoever. Now I’m haggling with the company via email (which I had to dig to find), as there’s no profile/account button in the app (that I had to just download again to see if I could check my cancelation from a year ago). These business practices are not ethical. Consumers should have access to their account to see their subscription status, and before a major corporation takes money out of someone’s account they should receive notice. Very unethical. Then the notifications stop showing up, so we fail to complete the program (there goes the only way to get the refund if it doesn’t work). Two things are bothering me : the first is a bug I often encounter with the work out videos: the sound doesn’t work 9 out of 10 times. I have to restart and restart and restart the app again, until it works. And when I have a tight 15min schedule to do work out, I really can’t afford to spend 10min to make the video work correctly… The second is, when I choose to delete a habit (because it’s not relevant anymore, or because I finished the course, or because I upgraded it to another habit), it’s deleted in every day of the calendar, including the past ones, as if I hadn’t ever done it. And I feel cheated every time ! But I wish I could use it to its full potential. The only reason I don’t use the full version is simply because I’m on a fixed income, and can’t afford subscriptions or hefty up front costs. It would be nice if there was a way for those of us on a fixed income to be able to get the full version for free. I feel it could help a lot of people if that was the case. It goes into greater detail than most fitness/health apps with information how you can form a habit. It has podcasts that are inspirational and understandable. It has a variety of attainable goals that feed everyone’s needs. I’m excited to utilize this every day!
