I love how the app quizzes you on new word parts as well as those that you identified incorrectly in earlier modules.

### 5/5 — Teach your child Latin!

*2014-11-21, version 2.26*

My children -ages 12-10-8-6- did not know how to "break down" a word. They have not been taught due to the now preferred "sight words" reading educational model. The phonics method is rarely used in our current curriculum. I see the need for my children to understand root words and this app is helpings with that. Simple~and effective.

### 5/5 — Great

Great app. I just love it so much

### 5/5 — Very helpful!

This is a great app if you are an adult studying for the GRE or a parent wanting to help your children's vocabularies grow.

I'm in a season in life where I want to understand English grammar more than ever. This app is playing a large role in supplementing this season. I recommend the app to all those looking for an excellent supplement to your new subject, or if you're refreshing your skill, like I am.

### 5/5 — Amazing

This is and absolutely great game that helps anyone learn latin! It give u the base knowledge of roots that will help in Latin so it definitely helps to start with Latin roots before u learn latin so u get the just of what the words mean. This apps helps a ton and I totally recommend it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Its ok at best

*2025-11-09*

Not what I excepted. The way the questions are worded could also be better

### 3/5 — Meh

*2020-12-30*

Not really for adults. It’s very easy. I just finished the whole game in like 15-20 minutes. Although, I did learn some things I didn’t know before. Not sure it’s worth the two bucks if you’re older and looking to deepen your understanding of words. It’s probably good for younger students though.

### 3/5 — Simple but nice app.

*2015-04-26*

This app has a very simple concept and reinforces well. It is better for adults with a wider vocabulary than for children. A nice time filler bored but won't teach you the language.

### 3/5 — Good

*2015-04-17, version 2.280*

Good

### 4/5 — Fun but needs more content

*2017-08-04*

This app is fun to use; it's sound and animation responses are encouraging and make sense. The difficulty curve is approachable and doesn't feel punishing when you make mistakes.

It is missing a lot of roots, though, which makes it impractical for older kids and adults. This app would be a 5/5 and I'd recommend it to the moon and back if it had a difficulty setting other than jumping levels or if it added more levels. I'd happily buy more levels if I knew they included roots relevant to older kids and adults. As it is, it's a great intro to root words but not the best overall study tool.

### 4/5 — Fun

### 5/5 — Greek Latin

I like this application but, they should allow to use in sentence.
They should provide a summary at the end of each lesson of the one you had difficulty.
They should give you a list option you can save as PDF and print.
