Off line Greek with words spoken to you at a touch of the selected word. The only things wrong with it is the language lesson which I don't really understand too well. Perhaps it could he different instead of just 2 people talking? As a fluent Greek speaker, reader, and writer I noticed many mistakes with the written Greek. Downloaded it to teach my friend but I was disappointed. ### 2/5 — A little less than acceptable *2010-06-12, version 0* The images are great, and the app is organized and intuitive. Very easy to browse and use, and it's quite pleasant to use it and learn. The main problem here is the language itself. Unfortunately there are innumerable Greek mistakes scattered over all sections, which can be a problem. The mistakes aren't so grave that you will risk getting punched in the face for saying something inappropriate to a native. Mistakes are mostly grammar-related, some are semantics-related. Clearly someone compiled a number of translations taken from Google Translate (or Babelfish or some other automated translation website) and made an app out of them. In the end, nice images and ease of use won't matter if a language program fails to deliver language correctness. So there is no accuracy here, which is very sad, because this could otherwise be an incredibly pleasant piece of software. It failed. Why ? Well it pronounces the greek word slowly, so that you can break the word up into the individual sounds of the word eg: kal-i-mer-a (good morning).This helps to pronounce the word correctly. This app has helped me learn to speak a few basic words such as hello, good bye and thank you and please has I think it's only fair to try speak the lingo, Although this a great app to learn the basic words and tge recording sound is great I think maybe a few more intermediate words and phrases such as 'where is' or 'how much' would make this a 5* app for me, But also has it's free it's brilliant!!!!
