### 3/5 — Needs a small correction

*2014-01-21*

Accent on present middle/passive indicative, 1st person plural form should be on the antepenult. You have it on the 4th from last syllable. (Just recently started reviewing my NT Greek from my days at Wheaton, with my trusty Machen text. I like your resource, but just want to make sure it's accurate. Will you be adding more forms/paradigms? What about a page with all the forms of luw, with definitions to help someone like me keep all the tenses straight. The more you add, the better! Thanks!)

### 3/5 — Nice

*2013-02-21, version 1.5.1*

This would be a wonderful app. if it spoke

### 2/5 — Poor usability

*2013-02-05, version 1.5.1*

Since this app just uses images it's a pain to use. It does not even default to correctly zooming to fit on the screen. This app completely bypasses the excellent support that iOS has for Unicode and so instead we get pixelated characters which are laid out with no sensitivity for the device.

Another example of a poor application where someone is trying to capitalise on a clear market need but with no desire to build a quality product.

"The app developer said 'let there be some buttons and images'. And he saw that it was mediocre and submitted it to the App Store and rested for the remainder of that day and the next six too."

### 3/5 — Needs more content

*2011-03-05, version 1.5.1*

Please update layout and add content.

### 2/5 — Put some actual work into it

*2010-06-21*

I'm glad I have these charts on my iPhone, but the setup and layout are horrible. I feel like there was absolutely no work put into this other than copying and pasting PDFs...The creator of this needs to find a better way to display the charts.

### 3/5 — Good yet expensive.

*2010-06-01, version 0*

Could include a testing feature. Multiple choice?

### 3/5 — Okay for a first attempt

*2010-04-25, version 0*

Someone has given it a go to put the basic rules of koine Greek in an app, and deserves credit for that. It does need some improvements.

I agree with the previous reviewer that scalable images would be helpful. But what to some may be a minor niggle, to me and I gues many others, will be a serious irritation; namely, there are two different orders in declensions used in Greek tenses, one in the order nom-gen-dat-acc and the other in the order nom-acc-gen-dat. You should be aware that it is the former that is used here, and there is no way to "correct" this to the latter, argh!!! Okay, I might seem over-the top, but when you have learnt things one way it really is simply impossible to change to the other. Can we have an option to change the order in a subsequent version please?

### 3/5 — I like it

*2010-03-03, version 0*

Pleasel add a section like trivia game or quiz. so we can learn easier. - Feb 2009

One year passed and nothing add to this app. Sorry I will take 2 star out of that.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2009-04-10, version 0*

Promised much delivered little, the prgrammer I hope has a conscience ...

### 2/5 — Not that great... maybe worth the 3 bucks

*2009-03-31*

I studied greek with Machen. This app uses charts directly from another book that are kind of difficult to understand. Furthermore, there is absolutely no information/ charts for irregular principal parts. There should be pages upon pages of charts if I'm paying 3 bucks for something. I minored in Greek, I just like to refer to something to check my verb conjugations. For me, this falls slightly short of that purpose.

### 2/5 — Good info, needs work

*2009-03-29*

Good basic info, but the lack of landscape view for charts makes using the app tedious. Please add landscape views!

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2009-02-27, version 0*

Lousy static tables. Not suitable for iphone at all. Cheap cash grab. Shame on you

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2012-10-31*

I expected more charts, this app is very incomplete and a waste a dollar! I've gone back to my PDF charts! Save your money

### 1/5 — fraud·u·lent

*2012-10-29, version 1.5.1*

It is a kind of fraudulent!

I would like to know how to get back my one dollar.

### 1/5 — Count the one-star ratings!

*2011-10-05*

Seriously, waste of money. I'm deleting it now. Make your own PDFs. At last that way you can zoom in on them, which you can't do in this "app".

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2011-07-19, version 1.5.1*

This app has absolutely no use to anyone trying to learn Greek! They have the alphabet with no English equivalent for the letters! It lacks even the most basic usefulness! I want my 99cents back

### 1/5 — Bad application

*2011-01-30, version 1.5*

Please don't waste your money with this horrible app.

### 1/5 — Greek

*2010-11-11*

Save your money and just put these basic charts into a PDF and look at them for free. Honestly there isn't that much information and a free price would have been justifiable.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2010-08-22*

While many of the charts are useful, the layout of some makes it impossible to read some of them even in landscape mode. Disappointing.

### 1/5 — I want my money back.

*2010-01-26*

Unless there is some major update coming up, I want my money back. I thought this would have a lot more than just charts for the price I paid for it. Don't waste your money make yourself dome flash cards and you will better off.

### 1/5 — shallow

*2009-08-21, version 0*

About five note cards worth of matterial. Waste of my money.

### 1/5 — This app is a turkey

*2009-05-19*

Give me a break, three bucks for this. The only thing I can think of responsible for no preposition chart is a compiling error, who in their right mind writes an app of this type and leaves out a preposition chart, UNBELIEVABLE. This app is a turkey, don't even think about touching that buy button.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Superb

*2017-08-23*

A must, if you are study Basics of Biblical Greek.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-08-18*

All of Mounce'a charts laid out for easy & quick access. A must have for the study of the Bibles original NT language!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2012-03-15, version 1.5.1*

Exactly what I wanted. A quick reference for all my charts!

Thanks

### 5/5 — Just updated today!!

*2009-11-24*

The app was just updated today and the preposition chart was added. This is an Excellent chart and addition to this app! This app is a great tool for seminary students, especially if you ae using Mounce's textbook. Thanks Paul Avery!

### 5/5 — No Turkey

*2009-11-23*

The previous reviewer is a turkey. This app works great for refreshing oneself in the greek diagrams. I would love to see an update with more diagrams!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2008-10-22*

I love this app. It is a very helpful reference tool when I can't seem to remember something (which is often). And for the price -- well, I can do nothing but highly recommend it for the learner of Greek.

I am with the others, though, in that I really wish that the "lists" wouldn't be treated like "images". That is, I wish I didn't have to scroll all around in order to see everything. I hope this can be updated and I also hope that you will update this application with as many relevant things as possible. I am really excited for the updates. Thanks for a great app.

### 5/5 — Thank you!!

*2008-10-09*

As a second year Greek student (already through Mounce's book), I am familiar with this information, but having it all in one place is wonderful! Of the most use to me are the inflected meanings, which the charts in BBG don't include, but that I have never been able to compile on my own. This is going to be a great (and very easy to carry) resource as I work on translations.

One improvement I would like to see is the ability to resize the charts, rather than having to move around to see all the data.

Thank you for taking the time to put this app together!

### 4/5 — Good, has potential to be better

*2011-11-03, version 1.5.1*

It is a very good idea, and for the most part a lot is very good! Everything is easy to find, the homepage layout is simple.

For people who complain that they are not learning greek from this app has missed the point of the app. The point is not to learn greek, but to have all your parsing tools at your fingertips rather than having to flip through the book for people who are taking a class learning Biblical greek. I believe this is its purpose, and it does it's purpose quite nicely.

A few things however I would like to see in an update to make it easier/simpler to use.

An eight case system setting.
Mounts uses a four case, however for people like me who are learning from an eight case system this app lacks the details of the eight cases.
       Especially when dealing with prepositions

Splitting up the case endings into declinations.
There are first, second, and third declinations. I would be nice to see these split up because when parsing you do need to know what declination it is.

First Declination Feminine

Depending on the ending of the word decides what ending the first feminine declination the word takes. Though you do list them, you don't explain when and how they change.

Overal it is a good app and I will use it often! The layout is sometimes a bit hard to navigate sometimes but I am not sure if there is a way to fix that.
Thanks so much for making!

### 4/5 — Good reference

*2011-05-19*

It's the diagrams from Greek class! Handy dandy on my iPod touch, and better on my iPad. Worth the 99 cents. Very basic, but it works.

### 4/5 — Very Good

*2010-01-05*

It's very handy as a reference tool and helpful towards memorization. The upgrade improved it but I would like to see more functionality for the price. I would recommend a memorization tool like a hide/show feature or fill in the blank practice sheets. So while it is a very good app containing valuable info and deserving of recognition, it could stand a few more bells and whistles for the price.
