You have it on the 4th from last syllable. (Just recently started reviewing my NT Greek from my days at Wheaton, with my trusty Machen text. I like your resource, but just want to make sure it's accurate. Will you be adding more forms/paradigms? What about a page with all the forms of luw, with definitions to help someone like me keep all the tenses straight. The more you add, the better! It does not even default to correctly zooming to fit on the screen. This app completely bypasses the excellent support that iOS has for Unicode and so instead we get pixelated characters which are laid out with no sensitivity for the device. Another example of a poor application where someone is trying to capitalise on a clear market need but with no desire to build a quality product. "The app developer said 'let there be some buttons and images'. It does need some improvements. I agree with the previous reviewer that scalable images would be helpful. But what to some may be a minor niggle, to me and I gues many others, will be a serious irritation; namely, there are two different orders in declensions used in Greek tenses, one in the order nom-gen-dat-acc and the other in the order nom-acc-gen-dat. You should be aware that it is the former that is used here, and there is no way to "correct" this to the latter, argh!!! Okay, I might seem over-the top, but when you have learnt things one way it really is simply impossible to change to the other. This app uses charts directly from another book that are kind of difficult to understand. Furthermore, there is absolutely no information/ charts for irregular principal parts. There should be pages upon pages of charts if I'm paying 3 bucks for something. I minored in Greek, I just like to refer to something to check my verb conjugations. I would love to see an update with more diagrams! ### 5/5 — Great! *2008-10-22* I love this app. It is a very helpful reference tool when I can't seem to remember something (which is often). And for the price -- well, I can do nothing but highly recommend it for the learner of Greek. I am with the others, though, in that I really wish that the "lists" wouldn't be treated like "images". That is, I wish I didn't have to scroll all around in order to see everything. I hope this can be updated and I also hope that you will update this application with as many relevant things as possible. I am really excited for the updates. Thanks for a great app. ### 5/5 — Thank you!! *2008-10-09* As a second year Greek student (already through Mounce's book), I am familiar with this information, but having it all in one place is wonderful! Of the most use to me are the inflected meanings, which the charts in BBG don't include, but that I have never been able to compile on my own. This is going to be a great (and very easy to carry) resource as I work on translations. One improvement I would like to see is the ability to resize the charts, rather than having to move around to see all the data. Thank you for taking the time to put this app together! ### 4/5 — Good, has potential to be better *2011-11-03, version 1.5.1* It is a very good idea, and for the most part a lot is very good! Everything is easy to find, the homepage layout is simple. For people who complain that they are not learning greek from this app has missed the point of the app. The point is not to learn greek, but to have all your parsing tools at your fingertips rather than having to flip through the book for people who are taking a class learning Biblical greek. I believe this is its purpose, and it does it's purpose quite nicely. A few things however I would like to see in an update to make it easier/simpler to use. An eight case system setting. Mounts uses a four case, however for people like me who are learning from an eight case system this app lacks the details of the eight cases. Especially when dealing with prepositions Splitting up the case endings into declinations. There are first, second, and third declinations. I would be nice to see these split up because when parsing you do need to know what declination it is. First Declination Feminine Depending on the ending of the word decides what ending the first feminine declination the word takes. Though you do list them, you don't explain when and how they change. Overal it is a good app and I will use it often! The layout is sometimes a bit hard to navigate sometimes but I am not sure if there is a way to fix that. The upgrade improved it but I would like to see more functionality for the price. I would recommend a memorization tool like a hide/show feature or fill in the blank practice sheets.
