## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Charged for the year

*2026-04-23, version 1.4.8*

I just wanted to try it with the free trial but it ended up charging me for the whole year.

### 1/5 — No way to contact to ask for a refund

*2026-03-02, version 1.4.8*

No clear way to contact support

### 1/5 — $34.99 to $24.99

*2024-09-21, version 1.3.0*

When you first go through the prompts, the app upsells you to pay $34.99/year. If you decline and press Unlock All Sounds, it shows you a rate of $24.99/year. Clearly shows they want to scam the customer.

### 1/5 — Unethical Upcharge

*2024-09-21, version 1.3.0*

The upfront cost upon signing up is $34.99 a year. Just X out and press “unlock all sounds” and the price decreases to $24.99 a year. Very questionable….

### 1/5 — Problem

*2024-07-30, version 1.1.1*

Settings do not show on my app and you have no way for me to add you for help in this.

### 1/5 — Green noise

*2024-07-27, version 1.1.1*

It makes only one sound…. Green rain noise🤬 so it is not what the developer said it is….

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2024-07-27, version 1.1.1*

Can’t change sound. Only has Green Noise and no intuitive way to change it.

I got it for free, but I can’t see how anyone would want to pay $149 for this crappy app.

On a iPhone 14 Pro with latest IOS.

### 1/5 — Great idea, Poor interface design & execution

*2024-07-27, version 1.1.1*

Having the settings icon share the same space as the time make it extremely difficult to get into settings. Sounds could be cleaner and less distorted. Not sure why the hearts are there unless I’m missing a feature.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-07-24, version 1.1.1*

there’s a constant ticking noise like a clock and it’s super annoying and it doesn’t even sound like green noise it sounds like rain

### 1/5 — Money hungry

*2024-05-24*

Just chasing a dollar

Don’t get this app

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Looks good, works fine

*2026-03-16, version 1.4.8*

I wanted to contact support and suggest adding smooth play/pause transition, but support link leads to some incomplete website template. There is no way to contact developer, suspicious

### 5/5 — Amazing green noise app

*2024-09-26*

I’m a very anxious person and especially get stressed late nights. This green noise app helps me a lot in emptying my mind and sleeping peacefully

### 4/5 — Lots of wonderful sounds to choose from

*2024-07-27, version 1.1.1*

I like the variety and that it has a timer. I also like that they don’t collect data. Privacy is important to me. I took one star off because there is a popping sound in the brown noise.

### 3/5 — Not fixed—huge silence gap and weak noise levels

*2026-02-03*

I’m giving this app three stars because the silence gap when a noise track stops and then restarts is awful. I’ve never seen such a long break in this type of app, and it was reported a long time ago.
What makes it worse is that the developer replied saying the issue was fixed, but it isn’t true on my side: the gap is still there, and it’s still huge.
It would also be great to add deeper noise options. White noise is very unpleasant, and most of the other “colored noises” are too—except brown noise, gray noise (although it has noticeable irregularities), and green noise.

Brown noise and gray noise aren’t loud enough. Even at maximum volume, I can barely hear them.

It would be nice to have black noise as well.
Some nature sounds (water and fire) are good. However, I don’t want music mixed with birds—I’d like to hear birds on their own.

The fan sounds aren’t great either; they don’t feel deep enough. An air conditioner sound would be a helpful addition.

### 3/5 — Lots of wonderful sounds to choose from

*2025-12-31, version 1.4.8*

I originally took one star off because there was a popping sound in the brown noise but now I’m taking another star off because I see their privacy policy has changed. When I originally downloaded the app, they collected no data.

### 3/5 — 2 Misses, 1 Hit

*2024-07-27, version 1.1.1*

I was mostly interested in brown noise but it is so quiet you can hardly hear it, even with the volume all the way up. In comparison to the volume of other sounds offered, it’s not even half as loud.

The green noise has a clicking pattern that renders it unusable for me, unfortunately. Repeating sounds/ obvious looping is the opposite of relaxing and makes me feel like I’m in a room full of people tapping their pencils 😅

One of my favorite surprises is in the meditation section there’s a sound call Deep Healing that felt instantly soothing. I will definitely be revisiting that.

I want to like this app, I really do! But it’s very namesake (Green Noise) and the main reason I wanted the app (Brown Noise) aren’t currently useable for my needs. I’ll definitely return for Deep Healing, though!

### 2/5 — Wanted to love it – but didn’t

*2024-07-29, version 1.1.1*

I love ambient sounds, brown noise etc. The noise loops were far too short, seconds actually. It was more like listening to a stuck record. The Green noise was actually the worst of the lot. The brown noise loop was the “best” by comparison but I had to max my headphone volume, and then get get the jump scare when I have a notification drop in.

Wanted to love it, but… it just doesn’t deliver.
