It’s not some pretty significant bugs, like when I’m trying to swipe in between my plants, it only loads info on one plant and the rest of the pages are black. This was when I cancelled the free membership. My phone is fully updated, the app was updated so I know it wasn’t a mismatch there. As an app developers wife, it’s just not up to par with how apps should be. ### 2/5 — Lots of bugs and short sighted design *2026-08-29, version 2.1.9* App’s ai isn’t actually very good. It really can’t estimate a pot size very accurately. It guessed my 4 inch pot was a 12. It also can’t guess plants all that great. More than half of my plants it confidently named with 90-99% confidence a plant that isn’t even vaguely similar. For instance my sun dew is a fern. I don’t actually really care about that but if you don’t know what your plant is this probably won’t help. What is pretty annoying is that when you use the identify to add a plant, if you don’t accept the wrong identification and try to scroll or look up another plant the app will crash about 80% of the time. The other problem I have with this seems pretty obvious if anyone tested the app. Any of the pages in the community tab don’t seem to have a way to back out of them. You will click on someone’s post or the leaderboard or almost anything and the navigation bar on the bottom will go away. With no back arrow you now need to close out the app completely. Super user unfriendly. ### 4/5 — Great for new plant parents *2026-08-21, version 2.1.9* I’ve been using this app for a few months now and like that I have a way to organize all my plants. So if you’re a new plant parent you just can’t go wrong. There’s also a small plant shop and forum where you can always get help . The forum has a bunch of glitches which can be annoying. My plants weren’t identified directly and diagnosis wasn’t super effective. I found a better app for my vegetable garden but sadly got charged before I could cancel and Apple won’t refund my request. I’m sure it’s fine for some people but sadly just thought it would be more helpful for a new backyard vegetable gardener and can’t manage to get a refund despite reporting an accidental renewal within 10 minutes of realizing my trial had run out and I was charged. ### 1/5 — Constant error *2026-06-23, version 2.1.9* Won’t recognize me so whatever this app has promise ### 2/5 — Broken *2026-06-23, version 2.1.9* This app has been baggy but helpful for the last year but this week I can’t even log in, and when it does randomly work, half the app won’t load and it froze when I tried to update a plant details. My one and only plant, this cactus, Euphorbia Abyssinica, wasn’t listed.
