### 5/5 — Best physics puzzler!

*2022-04-21, version 1.4.0*

I love this game. It took a while to figure out some of the rules since the training session could include some more details. But before too long I was really into it. And it's free! Honestly, its worth money. Hope there is a sequel!

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2022-01-31, version 1.4.0*

This game is great. Basically a direct remake of fantastic contraption and that is exactly what I was wanting, as I used to play that game all the time. The visual design of the game is a nice touch, and I haven't run in to any issues so far. I appreciate that there is a leaderboard, however in future the ability to see and play out other people's uploaded designs would be awesome. Also the ability to make your own maps to play out yourself or to upload for others to try out would also really take this game to the next level.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2021-10-03, version 1.4.0*

This is a charming, but underrated little game for mobile. Solving the puzzles in this game is more fun than it sounds at first. I played fantastic contraption when that first came out, and couldn’t get enough. This is a stroll right down that nostalgic lane, with some nice features that FC didn’t have. The only thing I want that this game lacks, is More and harder levels please.

### 5/5 — Nice game

*2021-06-27, version 1.2.0*

I enjoy the game but I’m not sure how the star ratings are calculated? Is it a function of time or number of components? Just curious.

Also an undo button would be pretty solid.

**Developer response:** Hey! Thanks for the 5 star rating! The star rating are based on how fast your design/contraption is able to get the ball to the goal. Also, an Undo button is now added in the latest version!

### 5/5 — Quite good.

*2021-06-25, version 1.2.0*

I left a more detailed review previously and it vanished. I’ll just say cool game and add an undo move option and ability to save a level once competed please. It would be cool to go back and view past levels and how you solved them. That’s all

**Developer response:** Hey! Thanks for the nice review! In the latest version, I have added an undo button and also when you complete a level, the design is saved, so you can replay the winning design if you wish! :)

### 5/5 — Love it

*2021-06-22, version 1.0*

I love this game. Fun and relaxing. Just one thing. The app icon is bigger than others'. It's bugging me.😅

### 5/5 — Spiritual successor to Fantastic Contraption

*2021-06-16, version 1.1.0*

Great production values, charming sound design, and of course a great engine. Get this if you liked Fantastic Contraption before it went VR.

### 5/5 — A reminder of better times

*2021-06-15, version 1.1.0*

I love it! Feels fresh and new but reminds me of the designs of the golden age of Flash games.

### 3/5 — Controls not very responsive.

*2021-07-04, version 1.3.0*

Just bought this game , tried for a short time and decided that the controls for this game are minimal and less than intuitive. Not sure that I will keep it.

**Developer response:** Hey! Im sorry to hear that. Pro tip: You can zoom in by pinching the screen, that way it's a bit easier to design your contraptions 😊

### 4/5 — Cool, but gets difficult fast

*2022-03-18, version 1.4.0*

Loved the ability I had to just build things I thought might work, and figure out solutions by trial and error. Once you get a few techniques down, it’s fun to fool around to get your best time. However, towards the end of world 2, the puzzles seem nearly impossible. I wish there were more “medium” difficulty puzzles. Also, maybe a way to skip a level, and not too reliant on stars to unlock new worlds. I want to see what other levels you have, but hit a wall…

### 4/5 — Delightful physics game

*2022-03-05, version 1.4.0*

Only thing lacking is an understanding of how stars are achieved. If it’s based on items used, assign them each a dollar value (eg, wheels are $100) and then set a budget for each level (eg, $500 spent = 3 stars, $650 = 2 stars, etc.). If it’s based on time, tell the user what to strive for (eg, 10 sec or less = 3 stars). Because right now I have now idea why I’m getting 1 star on some and 3 stars on others.

Also - users need the ability to replay the intro / how-to. (I don’t know the difference between the solid and dashed lines, and would like to go back and view the demo again.)

### 4/5 — Love it

*2021-08-07, version 1.4.0*

I love this game and can’t wait till new levels are added but I do wish that there was an option to have a snap grid as well as a sandbox level so that I could make things that wouldn’t fit in the regular levels

**Developer response:** Thanks for your nice review! Im glad you like the game, new levels coming soon! Also good suggestion, will add a sandbox level in the next release!

### 4/5 — Wonderful Puzzle Game

*2021-06-27, version 1.2.0*

If you loved Fantastic Contraption you’ll love this game. The only things I can see to improve on would be an undo button, and the option to save my contraptions from previous levels.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thanks for the nice review :) A new version is now available with an undo button, and also when a level is completed, the design is saved so you have the ability to replay the winning design!

### 4/5 — Thanks for the update

*2021-06-25, version 1.2.0*

After the update, the screen now rotates the right way. Thanks for the quick fix.

**Developer response:** Hey! Thanks for playing my game. Im sorry you had a bad experience. I totally forgot to allow multiple orientations. This issue is now fixed with the latest version. I hope you will give the game another chance :)

### 5/5 — Thanks!

Build a machine. Let it run. Experiment and learn. There are many levels. Some may seem really difficult. Do not be discouraged. Be creative. This game is very, very fun. It is appreciated!

### 5/5 — Reminds me of the Golden Age of Apps

*2023-12-27*

This is a must-have for fans of Fantastic Contraption. The fact that this game has no ads, no in-app purchases, and no data collection is almost unbelievable. This should be on the front page of the App Store, not another anime micro-transaction simulator.

### 5/5 — My favorite game ever

*2023-09-01*

I never write reviews but I love this game so much. I wish there were even more worlds. I like that you can build whatever u want. I’m pretty sure the star system is based on time. I wish there could be different modes to achieve 3 stars in, like least time, least materials, most materials, etc. very fun I enjoy this very much.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wish there were more levels it’s so fun

*2023-08-01*

Really enjoyed this. It’s a lot like one of my favorite computer games, Fantastic Contraption. Stars are based on how fast you can get the solve by the way.

### 5/5 — This game is fantastic! Deserves more spotlight.

*2022-12-20, version 1.4.0*

Me an others I've shared this with are enjoying the heck out it. Quite a diamond in the rough. Hopefully more people that enjoy it will pick it up and give it a shot. The interesting and creative ways to solve the puzzels are endless and sometimes comical. Share it with a friend.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2022-11-27, version 1.4.0*

This game is very well built and with no ads! A serious challenge but the parts are powerful and the possibilities are endless. More levels please!!

As some have mentioned, I’d like a clearer explanation of the star system - it seems to be based purely on time but the the goals are not explicit. Also an explanation of the parts - it seems like dotted lines are both transparent to the ball AND lighter? But I’m not sure.

Another feature that would take this game to the next level is being able to see how other people solved the same level after you complete it, or maybe after you get 3 stars to preserve the challenge. Right now it shows rankings but I want to be able to see everyone else’s creativity.

Great game!!

### 5/5 — Hints for this great game

*2022-07-10, version 1.4.0*

Do not give up. Combinations of wheels, chains, rafts, catapults and arms/paddles will help with obstacles. Time as in speed appears to be the criteria for more stars. This continues to be the most enjoyable game I have recently experienced. Thanks very much!

### 5/5 — Absolutely incredible.

*2022-06-16, version 1.4.0*

One of the greatest iOS games out there, period. Here’s a vote for more worlds please!

### 5/5 — Catapult

*2022-06-12, version 1.4.0*

Fantastic. I am wondering if some more unique components could be added beyond the basic components available, perhaps in later levels! To give it more of a unique twist from fantastic contraption. Thank you for the game.

Also, tip for those who have trouble - make a catapult. Attach a long rod to the edge of a wheel.
