Almost unusable. PLEASE FIX!

### 1/5 — 0 customer support

*2025-09-26, version 4.3.1*

Impossible to get support and to change a lost password or sign up for publications

### 1/5 — Cancelling made difficult

*2025-08-15, version 4.3.1*

I want out! Please cancel my subscription effective ASAP.

### 1/5 — I can’t even log in!!!

*2025-07-23, version 4.3.1*

You need to make this app better, and you also need to make it so you don’t need to sign in!

### 3/5 — Look here

*2025-07-07, version 4.3.1*

There is no Russia in the forgen Coin section please put it there because I don’t know where to find the prices anywhere else.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2025-05-02, version 4.3.1*

I subscribed to this app on a monthly basis to see if it was worth the cost. This is my experience so far. First, as a collector of mostly foreign coins, the app is essentially useless. I pay for the higher price sub that is supposed to include world coins. Very rarely does it have the numerous categories populated. So, I end up just searching the internet. Second, the app is sluggish, buffers a lot, and the search function rarely returns anything remotely close to what I enter (unless it’s a US coin). Further, both Greysheet and Red Book are now owned by the same person. That means one company chooses what I get paid from a coin shop when I sell, as well as what I pay when I buy. I have no understanding about how these numbers are reached but the prices favor the industry, not the collector. Now that there’s no competition, I’m very wary of using it as a price guide at all. This, coupled with the lack of world coin info, renders this app, and unfortunately the Red Book, obsolete in my opinion. It just feels like a huge money grab to have to have an expensive subscription to get so little in return, and a monopolized market to boot. I’ve listened to the companion podcast as well. That just solidified it for me.

Regarding the Red Book, I can’t stand that the KM#’s were removed. And I don’t even want to know what made someone think it was a good idea to list the classic commemoratives alphabetically rather than by date. I makes zero sense to me that the previous owners of Whitman would have sold their reputation to the only competitor. Now there’s no one to keep anyone honest. What a shame. I’m going back to the, “what I’m willing to pay/sell for” pricing. This app is for the birds.

### 2/5 — Very detailed banknote library but many unsatisfactory features

*2025-04-15, version 4.3.1*

So,unable to send feedback, the saved option does not work and the recently viewed option works one time out of 500. Could be so much better.

### 2/5 — Forced

*2025-04-11, version 4.3.1*

Forced subscription, did not have values interested in. Now what?

### 1/5 — Cost

*2025-03-28, version 4.3.1*

This app is actually so bad. I have to pay 30 dollars just to find out if a coin “could” be rare.

### 1/5 — Why the hype?

*2025-03-15, version 4.3.1*

Greysheet was highly recommended by a vendor at my first coin show earlier today.
I’m a new collector and just finished cataloging more than 1500 coins and was looking for more information.
I just created an account and looked up my first coin. I got a pop up that said I have 9 more free lookups.
There was no information in the Value tab of this particular coin. So I switched from one app to another so I could verify the coin details.
I went back to Greysheet. The page reloaded. Popup, you have 8 free lookups left.
I tried another coin. Same thing. I’ve looked up 2 rare coins, no value info for either coin, and each time the page loads - without new info - it deducts a free lookup?
So far, this app has proven useless and unfair to a new collector so I certainly don’t think I would pay $10/month for it.

### 3/5 — Useful, Essential, Pricey & Buggy

*2025-02-14, version 4.3.1*

I’ve been using this app for years. It’s the premier (read: basically only) professional pricing program. It’s useful as a vast database with its relative pricing of US and World coins and bullion, and they expand content periodically. Downsides: You have little choice as it’s essentially a monopoly, and correspondingly expensive. Values tend to be somewhat higher than what coins actually trade at in public venues. It is fast but buggy. When you look up individual items it’s somewhat hit or miss, as they come up quickly about 70% of the time. With time you’ll get better at figuring out what to enter. Searches are complicated by the fact that dozens of unrelated entries can come up at the same time. Customer support is fairly responsive, but be careful about saying the wrong thing, lest you offend the sensitivities of the publisher and they vindictively cut you off (please don’t, I’m trying to be completely honest and fair here).

### 1/5 — App

*2025-01-23, version 4.3.1*

Garbage

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t login

*2026-05-24, version 5.0.7*

Tried a million times to log in after registering on many accounts and every single time it says that my password or username was wrong

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2026-05-18, version 5.0.7*

Tried for two days to register, go to sign in and all it says is invalid username or password.. tell you what why don’t you just assign me one that will work!!

### 1/5 — Bad purchase

*2026-04-24, version 5.0.4*

The app keeps crashing during the lengthy pop-up ad videos. I deleted and reloaded the app which didn’t help. If I pay such a hefty fee for a yearly subscription to this app, why do I have to see all these ads? Thumbs down!

### 1/5 — Crash, crash, and crash

*2026-04-22, version 5.0.3*

New update is horrible. App keeps crashing, features that made the app quick to navigate are now gone. Makes doing business take longer when going through large quantities of slabs.

### 1/5 — Now completely useless for Banknote Book subscribers

*2026-04-05, version 5.0.2*

Absolutely horrible redesign, impossible to find your country because of organization by continent.

Search doesn’t work.

Once you open a guide, third of the screen is wasted and they killed the scrolling, so you can’t quickly get to the page you want.

Whoever came up with this has no clue about usability.

### 1/5 — Horrible Update

*2026-03-31, version 5.0.1*

Whose idea was it to include all of the varieties in the search process? I have to scroll through hundreds of VAMS to look at pricing. Bring back the ability to collapse all of that superfluous information.

### 1/5 — Update is AWFUL

*2026-03-30, version 5.0*

TURN IT BACK! Now I have to search through every variety. It no longer separates it out by each year and designation. If I select small cents, I have to search all 800+ Varieties instead of just selecting the year and then looking at the variety’s. This update is TERRIBLE!

### 1/5 — Usability just went out the window in latest update

*2026-03-27, version 5.0*

The usability just went out the window on this last update. The removal of the collapsible options to limit the varieties for showing on the page at first glance. Also the removal of the multiple columns of listing just creates a bunch of wasted space. Definitely a downgrade with this update.

### 1/5 — Usability

*2026-02-16, version 4.3.1*

Need to be able to search for coin also allow search with key words

### 1/5 — Tiny pictures tiny value

*2025-10-22, version 4.3.1*

App pictures are so small it's almost impossible to
I D a coin or bill.
Kinda free means kinda get what you paid : zero

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Much better navigation!

*2026-04-28, version 5.0.6*

Nicely done team! This is light years better! We’d love an offline mode for 24hour periods so we can use our subscription at a coin show where coverage is terrible.

### 5/5 — Newest update

*2026-03-27, version 5.0*

I now have ads in the price charts. WHY WOULD THERE BE ADS ON AN APP I PAY TO USE?? The newest update completely ruined the user experience. I want a seamless experience if I’m going to continue paying monthly for this. This new update is horrendous.

### 5/5 — Much better navigation!

*2026-03-18*

Nicely done team! This is light years better!

### 5/5 — It Just Keeps Getting Better

*2025-12-29, version 4.3.1*

I have been using the gray sheet for years. The publication keeps expanding and improving. Their website and app make the information accessible from anywhere you’re at, from sitting in your den to perusing the bourse floor at a coin show. Every time I turn around, they’re making an improvement somewhere to make this app more valuable.

### 5/5 — GREY💵

*2025-12-03, version 4.3.1*

Most valuable tool in my chest

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-11-15, version 4.3.1*
