### 3/5 — Love this game but...

*2019-05-21*

It’s missing an untimed mode. I’ve beaten the game but would like to play it to relax (like Sudoku) at night. This would really enhance the game and make it more playable once it’s been beaten.

**Developer response:** Hi standifa,

Thanks for the review and the feedback.

We’ve just updated Griddler with 2 new game modes, one of them being a non timed mode!

I hope you enjoy it, thanks for playing!!

### 4/5 — Good for what it is

*2019-01-13*

Griddler is a simple, straightforward randomly generated picross style game. Nice presentation, easy interface. I appreciate that the game essentially offers a demo, with a small one-time purchase to get more.

### 4/5 — I Love this

*2019-01-05, version 1.580*

The best pic Cross Word. Easy to finish.

### 4/5 — download and play 2 level ?

*2018-12-03*

hi I read your response and upgrade my star one to four
but honestly lvl and purchase doesn't clear thanks

**Developer response:** Hi egzotic,

Thanks for playing Griddler!

Each level is randomly created every time you play, so you’ll never run out of free 5 and 6 Grids!

The puzzles also become increasingly challenging as you play more of them, making it harder to get those 3 stars and improve your rank for each grid size.

The iAP is only for those who have reached the top ranks in the 5 and 6 Grids, and want a little extra challenge through larger grid sizes.

I hope you continue to enjoy Griddler.

Thanks

### 3/5 — Good but not great

*2018-11-20, version 1.570*

Good game but lots of adverts and you have to pay for the whole game not really worth the money In my opinion

### 3/5 — Stop bugging for reviews so much.

*2018-11-19*

Good game, I didn’t mind paying for the full version but I rated 3 because it constantly bugged me to leave a review. As in after every 5-10 levels. It got tiring. I don’t like being forced to leave a review. If I had been reminded once a day or something I would have gotten around to leaving a 5-star.

### 5/5 — Great game.

*2018-11-17*

I had some concerns at first of how difficult it would be at first but it turned out to be a great game. I do wish it more challenges but overall I really liked it. Thanks for the response on the review! Really helped me understand the game better.

**Developer response:** Hi TAT0322,

Thanks for your feedback, I’m glad to hear you like the game.

The 5 Grid and 6 Grid are randomly generated levels that increase in difficulty as you rank up (by earning 3 stars). These levels can be played for free, forever.

The iAP purchase is for those who want a little extra challenge via larger grids.

I hope you continue to enjoy the game. Try and reach Champion rank on each grid size 😊

Thanks

### 2/5 — Great game... for first few minutes

*2018-11-17*

Game is great, another app to play when bored. Big and only problem is you can only play the first two levels, and then your cut off until you pay for the full version.

**Developer response:** Hi Superman1222t,

I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the game. Each grid size can be played over and over, as the levels are randomly generated each time.

They also get more difficult as you increase your rank, providing more challenge. The iAP is there for those who want even more challenge via larger grids.

I wanted to create a fun game that can be enjoyed by all, and only those who love it would give a one off payment for bigger challenges, apologies if you feel this is unfair.

Please continue to enjoy Griddler, and try to reach the Champion rank on all levels! 😊

Thanks

### 3/5 — Almost there

*2018-11-16*

Nice level of polish but I don’t like the decision to include monetization after every single puzzle. Obviously the developer wants to make money on the game but that doesn’t mean I want to see an ad for the full game unlock or a full-screen advertisement after just a few seconds of play.

### 2/5 — I shouldn’t have to purchase anything

*2018-11-16*

I do like the game. It’s unique, but it got two stars because I only got to play two levels and it wanted me to buy more. In my opinion that makes the two levels that were free pointless. I believe that if there is going to be minimal gameplay then make the whole game either free or $2.99. This was ridiculous

**Developer response:** Hi Saya W,

Glad to hear you like the game and thank you for the honest feedback.

The 5 Grid and 6 Grid levels are randomly generated, so you can play unlimited amounts of them for free, and forever!

The aim of the Full Game iAP was to provide greater challenge through bigger grid sizes for those who wanted it. As they get quite tricky at 10x10.

I hope you’ll continue playing the game and enjoy it more. Try to reach Champion on the smaller grids! 😊

Thank you

### 5/5 — Addictive and fun

*2018-11-15, version 1.565*

Enjoyed playing this game, gets addictive

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Costs $ to play

*2018-11-25*

You can only play 2 levels before you have to buy it

**Developer response:** Hi Jlw93630174959,

Thanks for playing Griddler!

The 5x5 and 6x6 levels are randomly generated, so you play them for free, forever and they’ll always be a different puzzle.

They also increase in difficulty as you improve, creating greater challenge as you progress. The aim is to earn 3 stars on each puzzle to improve your rank until you reach the highest level.

The iAP is only really for people who want a greater challenge via larger grids.

I hope you continue to enjoy Griddler, try to reach Champion rank in each grid! 😊

Thanks

### 1/5 — Not free

*2018-11-24*

I hate games that hide the cost. If it’s free, then it’s free. Even with ads. But if you trick people into downloading then spring the cost after 2 levels, that’s wrong.

**Developer response:** Hi lifeiner,

Thanks for playing Griddler!

### 1/5 — Free game (except the 2.99$ to play real game)

*2018-11-17*

Thanks for the awfully boring sample that makes me never want to buy your full game.

**Developer response:** Hi Dayton 77,

Thanks for playing Griddler!

Each time you enter a Level it is randomly created, so you can play the 5x5 and 6x6 for free, forever! There are thousands and thousands of levels for you in every grid size.

On top of that the levels will get more challenging as you improve. The aim is to keep playing the different grids until you rank up to the top ranks.

The iAP is only there for there who want a greater challenge via larger grid sizes.

I hope you continue to enjoy a Griddler!

Thanks

### 1/5 — Only can play 2 stages before asking for money

*2018-11-17, version 1.565*

Paid app in disguise

### 1/5 — Couldn’t get past instructions - hangs

*2018-11-17*

The game would never get past the introduction pages with the instructions. No x or arrow and taps and swipes don’t do anything. Had to uninstall- iPad Pro late 2017.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2018-11-16*

I love these games but you only got 5 tutorial levels before it wants you to pay for more. Not really free 🤷🏼‍♀️

**Developer response:** Hi Lindsey503,

Thanks for playing Griddler!

The Grid 5 and Grid 6 buttons are actually randomly created levels that are different each time you press them, and they get harder as you play, allowing you to rank up.

The iAP is purely for those who want a little more challenge through a larger grid size.

I hope you continue to enjoy it, try to reach the Champion rank! 😊

Thanks!

### 1/5 — It’s only a 2 stage “preview” for free

*2018-11-16*

You can only play the 2 easy stages for free then to advance further you need to buy the full game. Why would I pay for this one when there’s 100 other picross games out there for free? Also the puzzles don’t even form pictures. I do like the interface and the layout though, not sure if it gets a little clunky when playing larger puzzles since I decided not to pay for this one.

**Developer response:** Hello XApocalypticxxx,

Thanks for giving Griddler a try!

The Grid 5 and Grid 6 buttons are actually randomly created levels that are different each time, and get more and more challenging.

As you earn more stars you will also rank up that grid size. The iAP is purely for those who want to challenge themselves with larger grids.

I hope you give it another go, try to reach the Champion rank on the Grid 5 and Grid 6!!

Thanks

### 1/5 — Con

*2018-11-15, version 1.565*

What a con - have to purchase if want more than the two easy levels

### 2/5 — Not enough

*2018-11-26*

They give you two levels to play and then you have to pay for the rest. 2 easy levels isn’t enough to make a decision on whether I want to purchase it or not

**Developer response:** Hi jdellacivita,

Thanks for playing Griddler!

They also increase in difficulty as you improve, creating greater challenge as you progress. The aim is to earn 3 stars on each puzzle to improve your rank until you reach the highest level.

The iAP is only really for people who want a greater challenge via larger grids once they’ve already reach the top ranks in the smaller grids.

I hope you continue to enjoy Griddler, try to reach Champion rank in each grid! 😊

Thanks

### 2/5 — Improvements needed

*2018-11-17, version 1.565*

So many games like this on the market that are way better! This is because they have way bigger sizes all for free so why would I want to buy bigger levels when I can just get loads of bigger levels for free!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great picross trainer

*2020-02-17, version 1.700*

Great fun if you love picross. Helps you identify patterns faster by applying time pressure.

### 5/5 — Great game needs more features

*2018-12-05*

An endless mode of puzzle size selection would enhance the game immensely for those who have paid for the full game. I’m able to get three stars regularly on all levels and would like to not have to continually go back to the menu after finishing the level to select it again.

Love the game as is though too. Great for warming up the brain.

### 5/5 — Nice Brain Teaser Game

*2018-12-03*

This is a quick, fun, brain activating game. There are 5 levels of difficulty (although 3 must be paid for) each of which gets slightly harder. Each game takes between 15 seconds and 2 minutes, depending on the level you’re on, so the game provides a quick but enjoyable time killer.

### 5/5 — Very pleasing to play

*2018-12-02, version 1.575*

I haven’t bought a game app for quite a while but I’m so glad I have paid for the full Griddler as once you get onto the bigger grids it is a fun challenge. This game has overlaps with sudoku but it is much more pleasing to play than sudoku I would say. Simple but effective gameplay.

### 5/5 — Wonderful little game - missing an opportunity

*2018-11-28*

Wonderful little Picross game
With smooth controls and some really nice animations. It’s been perfect for a quick time killer on the commutes.

It would be a great feature to have a time attack mode which has you attempting to finish as many puzzles as you can in allotted times. When I first purchased the game, I thought that was a game mode, but unfortunately it’s not.

Game devs, make this game perfect by creating a time attack mode finishing multiple puzzles in 30 seconds or 1-2 minute increments, going all the way up to 10 min (for 10x10).

It’s make my dreams come true for this game.

Good luck!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2018-11-24, version 1.565*

A great game of logic and deduction. A simple concept but very stimulating.

### 5/5 — Looks great!!

*2018-11-18, version 1.570*

Great game!! Daughters love it and happy to let them play puzzle games.

### 5/5 — Very good!

*2018-11-17*

It has a good loadup speed, nice graphics (the pushing feels like the board falls into the spot of pressure),and is very fun, logical, and has a good age limit, 4+.

### 5/5 — Great game!!

*2018-11-17, version 1.565*

So addictive once understood - love it! More please!!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2018-11-17, version 1.565*

Simple and easy to play, the perfect game to fill those 5 spare minutes you have, until you realize you’ve been playing for an hour!
