Building a struggling program into a contender is meant to be very challenging, but you're right, it shouldn't feel impossible. I'm going to dig into the rebuild path and make climbing from the bottom more rewarding and achievable in an upcoming update. Everything you mentioned is handled, player stats and scoring were running hot, so they've been rebalanced to realistic levels (no more overpowered numbers or 40+ point blowouts every game). You'll also see far more name variety with fewer repeats, new awards including Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year, and the Coaching Career page now tracks every player you coached who got drafted and it follows you even when you change schools, so you never lose your draft tree.
