## What is Gridiron GM?

You're the GM. Every decision is yours.

Gridiron GM puts you in charge of a pro football franchise — pick one of 32 teams and run it for a decade or more. Set the game plan, work the phones, win the draft, and build a roster that hangs banners.

This isn't a tap-to-win idle game. It's a deep, honest front-office simulation that rewards smart roster building, sharp cap management, and a good eye for talent.

RUN THE FRANCHISE
- Choose your offensive and defensive schemes and set your depth chart
- Watch every week play out as a live, drive-by-drive broadcast — or skip to the result
- All other teams play by the exact same engine, so the league lives and breathes around you

WHEEL AND DEAL
- Trade players and draft picks with a believable AI that values stars, youth, and premium positions the way real front offices do
- Negotiate contract extensions, sign free agents, and manage the salary cap season after season
- Scout free-agent markets to see who's interested and what the deal will cost

WIN THE DRAFT
- A fresh prospect class every year, ordered by a noisy mock draft
- Spend scout points to peel back the fog — overall range, key traits, then development ceiling
- Find the hidden gems, dodge the busts, and hit on the picks that build a dynasty

BUILD A DYNASTY
- Players age, break out, and decline on realistic career arcs
- Young Star, Superstar, and Generational talents grow fast — develop them into franchise cornerstones
- Chase awards, conference titles, and the championship across unlimited seasons

MADE TO RESPECT YOUR TIME
- Fully playable offline — no account, no login, no internet required
- No ads, ever. No energy timers. No in-app purchases. One price, the whole game
- Your save lives on your device

Take the job. Build something that lasts.

### 2/5 — Half-baked attempt at filling a hole in the market

*2026-08-02*

Unfortunately, this looks like an AI-slop, vibe-coded mess.
There are only starters for a player pool so there’s no depth to trade from or for (which I assume is because NFL stats were run though an AI for “ratings” and it can’t guess at ratings for players without stats). Weekly goals are random with no control over reaching them which leads to a cycle of winning and earning scouting points or losing and struggling to keep up. There also isn’t any way in-game to see what is happening or what happened. There aren’t even 4 downs, you’ll regularly see one play and then a random punt. There are clear logic issues where Makai Lemonn (sic) was a free agent despite just being drafted. Free agents are effectively a single blind bid, so if you don’t win them, there aren’t any backup players to replace holes in a roster because of the lack of player pool. Just go buy Retro Bowl

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy! The rosters are actually the most challenging part of this... I want each player rating to feel close to real as possible (and it is manual, not AI).. so it takes time to add full rosters. I am working on the backups right now - full rosters in a recent update. Great calls on weekly goals. Will make these more customized to your team's makeup in a future update. The in-game sim is just meant to show key notes of the actual games, but it would be good to turn on a mode that shows all four downs and every single drive in detail. The contracts i have auto generated and will also be fixing in an upcoming update. I appreciate your thoughts and will keep working to make this a game you enjoy!

### 5/5 — This app is a blast!

*2026-07-30*

Gridiron GM is an incredible game. It’s built out so intuitively that anyone can easily navigate, and I’ve really been enjoying playing. I’ve also found that the dev takes our feedback very seriously and have seen awesome improvements over the past few days!

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2026-07-25*

Super Clean UI, runs smooth, fast paced football sim with tons of tools to lose hours in.

### 5/5 — Best NFL Simulator Ever

*2026-07-24*

Easily one of the most immersive sports simulation games I’ve played. It captures the experience of running a professional football franchise remarkably well, with meaningful decisions and impressive depth throughout. The attention to detail is exceptional, and it’s clear the developers invested a great deal of care into creating an authentic management experience.

### 5/5 — Seriously Addicting

*2026-07-22*

Finally a football sim that nails the GM side. Scouting the draft, running my depth chart, and game play are really well done. The player management goes deep enough to feel real without being overly complicated. I haven’t been able to put it down. If you love franchise mode in Madden but wish it were the whole game, this is it. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Elite NFL football GM Simulator

*2026-07-20*

What an incredible game. Really well thought out and developed, feels just like madden franchise mode or any other top of the line franchise management game. 10/10 would recommend for any football fan!

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-08-12

- Injury report on the depth chart — see exactly who's out and for how long, plus OUT badges on player cards
- Pick-for-pick trades priced fairly — your better 1st for their worse 1st is now a yes
- Trade Block tightened: one player per team max, and only when there's a real story (no more stars randomly on the block)
- Save durability for deep franchises — a crash can now cost you seconds, not seasons, even 25 years into a dynasty

### 1.5 — 2026-08-04

The Trade Block update — built from your reports on r/GridironGMGame:

- THE TRADE BLOCK: see every player rival GMs are shopping (motivated sellers take less), put your own guys on the block, and browse a league-wide "who needs what" board
- Sort everything: trade lists by value, OVR, age, or salary
- Rename any player — including draft prospects
- 9x bigger name pool for generated players
- Rookies now start on real 4-year rookie contracts
- Fixed: lost progress when closing the app mid-offseason (saves are now bulletproof)
- Fixed: playoff games ending in ties, drives running past 0:00, extensions not registering, and a scouting bug where the combine numbers contradicted the scout's speed grade

Keep the feedback coming — every update starts in the community.

### 1.4 — 2026-07-24

The front-office update — built from your feedback on r/GridironGMGame:
• Redesigned for iPhone: every screen rebuilt for one thumb. No more sideways scrolling, no more buttons hiding off-screen.
• Feel the game: haptics on trade handshakes, draft picks, and breakthrough seasons.
• Smarter GMs: teams now scout their real roster holes — bad defensive lines finally draw trade interest.
• No more "add one more player" runarounds: when a GM names his price, that price closes the deal.
• Live cap preview on every trade, and salaries visible right on the table.
Keep the feedback coming — r/GridironGMGame.
