## What is Gridlock?

You know the moment. Three pieces drop into the tray, none of them fit anywhere, and you realise the run ended two moves ago — not because you played badly, but because the game handed you a hand that was never playable.

Gridlock doesn't do that. Every tray is checked before it reaches you. You will still lose, often. But you'll lose because you filled the board and ran out of room, which is your own doing and fixable next time.

HOW IT PLAYS

Drag three pieces onto an 8x8 grid. Fill a row or a column and it clears. Clear on back-to-back moves and the combo multiplier climbs.

Pieces don't rotate, and the tray only refills once all three are gone. So each round is a small planning problem rather than a reflex test — which is why it works equally well in a two-minute gap or a long evening.

That's the whole game. Nothing to unlock, no meters refilling in the background, nothing asking you to come back at six o'clock.
