But the Apple Watch app used to just work, now it frequently crashes, prompting the starting/stopping of a timer to make everything re-appear again. Has never failed me, but would like to see interface update. ### 4/5 — Constructive Criticism - More Alarms *2018-08-03* I personally love this app because it really helped me start out grilling. I’ve used many of the recommendations in the app and my food turned out great. I love the layout the recipes, and everything except one thing. The custom recipes/alarm timing. Currently, in the custom area, you can only set a time and it defaults to flip when halfway done. It would be much more useful if you could set multiple alarms in one recipe. Such as something that has to be cooked on all sides and needs to be flipped at a 1/4 done, 2/4 done, and 3/4 done through the set time instead of just flipping it halfway. This also goes for some of the preset recipes. Ex. The hot dog recipe says to leave it on the grill for 8 minutes, and then rolling the hot dog every 2 minutes. When you use the timer the only time the alarm goes off is once the 8 minutes is up. If the alarm went off every two minutes then that would prevent me from having to constantly check my phone (with my meat-juicy hands) to see when two minutes hit. This is a small fix but this would help sooooo much. Thanks ### 5/5 — GrillTime wouldn’t start my Weber without it! *2018-07-31* I use GrillTime exclusively for their recommendations on temperatures and cooking time. The program is incredibly accurate. Love it! ### 3/5 — Decent App but Annoying Timer *2018-07-23, version 2.4.10* It is a decent app, it would be better if the timer sound wasn't so annoying and could be silenced by pressing the volume button on the side of your phone. As it is now it makes a loud continuous noise and everyone at your bbq will think your smoke alarm is going off. When you explain that it is a timer to help you cook you will probably get made fun of hence why the discreet silence button would be good. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — It’s just a timer *2022-10-31* Thought this was a timer where you could line up all your food to grill and the app would create the time to start grilling the various food to be done at the same time. Nope, this is just a basic timer, like the one on your phone. ### 1/5 — Can’t add custom steak thickness *2021-05-22, version 2.5.1* Not good. Why are the steak thicknesses fixed with these measurements? Why go 1cm, 2.5, 3.75, etc? Why can’t I add my own thickness? Refund please. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2020-10-07* Don’t waste your money on this app. I’ve used the free Omaha Steaks app for a long time. That works great, but was wanting something with maybe a little more. This app is not it. You can identify all the items you want to cook and their doneness. But beyond that, the app does not calculate when to start cooking the various items if you want to finish them all at the same. Nor does it allow you to start all timers at once and notify you when to start each item or to track each item easily. You have to manually click each item to start. The free Omaha Steaks app lets you do all of this. This app doesn’t do much more than put the timer of your clock app into a different shell. ### 1/5 — Use Wind Up Timer Instead *2019-05-10, version 2.4.10* I can’t believe this is a +4 rating. I could do much better with wind up kitchen timers. It doesn’t ding to flip. It doesn’t ding to end. It just counts time. For steaks it is all on direct fire and flip once. No searing. And no cut selection. Just Steak. 1 Star is all I can come up with.
