There seems to be a number of things to do in the game. After paying for the game I have started receiving adds and being ask to pay for the game again after latest update ### 5/5 — Favorite Mobile RPG *2025-06-16, version 1.8.6* I absolutely love this game and the other two that go with it, it’s by far THE BEST game when you have no WiFi. These have been my go-to games for flights and roadtrips for years and I still freaking love them. I’m big on lore, I love when my games have lots of background info for why the world is in the state that it is, these games have a super fun story to follow and there’s plenty of access to all the lore but you can skip past it all and not waste your time on it if that’s not for you. The turn based combat great especially because there’s almost endless builds for your character so it’s fun to restart and try new things. I cannot recommend this game enough. ### 3/5 — Bug in Battle Academy *2025-04-18, version 1.8.4* I've been playing this game on and off for a couple of years. The art and writing is great, as well as the mechanics - the diversity in skills and upgrades really allows you to experiment with the build. Game does get a bit tedious as you reach higher levels and inventory management starts taking over. It seems like crafting should be a bigger part of the game, but certain ingredients never show up in loot to be able to craft potions. Encountered for the first time an annoying bug today in the Battle Academy. Pressing the "Forget" button on a spell made me lose 50gp instead of getting it back! Tested with another character and it was the same thing. I ran through it as a Battlemage, mopped the floor with a lot of the game. This one isn’t even close to as good even with the exact same graphics and style. I like to run XXL size dungeons, tell me how I can make it to the 2nd map before I ever get overwhelmed on Grim Quest. But on this game? I’ve created 4 characters just trying to clear the first floor. The enemy is getting stupid buffs like B2B critical hits taking 8 health in a hit with 3 enemies. I died in my first fight, on easy, in 4 rounds of attacks. I selected max INT, 2x AOE spells, and buffed STR as a backup. I went into the match, I got 70hp, 3 enemies got like 10-12 hp each ok cool. I use 1st AOE spell (hits for 5-7 base with INT buff). I dealt 1 damage each. Got hit for 20. 2nd AOE spell, 1 damage each. Now I’m below half health. THIS WAS MY FIRST FIGHT ON THE FIRST FLOOR, HOW DID YOU MESS THIS UP SO BADLY. ### 1/5 — Skip to Grim Omens *2025-10-05, version 1.9.1* After picking up, finding it worth paying for ad-free, and finishing Grim Omens, I figured I would try this. I found this unplayable. First dungeon of blank tiles i had 3 combats on the harder difficulty setting. 2nd dungeon of 25 tiles-no combat, 0! and just 2-3 encounters. Then it wants me to watch an ad to get my pittance of coins for next to no adventure? No thanks. But Grim Omens was worth playing. Why are they mad that they didn’t read there what they were buying. I think you made a smart choice with the free with ads or pay once for no ads model!
